I really like to play poker, it is fun and all, but let's be honest, it's not about "having a good time" actually, but instead about money. I invest much time into poker, I keep getting better, but fun factor is getting lower and lower, and the question, if its worth or not, getting more important.
So my question is, what do you guys think, is it worthy to learn poker, invest time in it, maybe look at it like a career? What is the future of online poker? In what direction is it going? The time, when online poker started to rise rapidly, has gone. In that time, there were many fish, many new players, and only a few could play decently. But nowadays, there are many regs, only a few fish, the rake is the same, poker industry isn't growing, the political environment is very bad, etc. So what do you guys think about these things? Is poker decaying, or you are optimistic, maybe US players can play again in the future, and that brings many new players? Or you think, on average, players won't get any better, and it's still profitable to play poker. What's your opinion, what about different stakes?
ps.:I have played online poker a few years ago, without much knowledge, and i crushed the tables. Now, as i started to play again, thinking of it more seriously, I think, now the fish are better, than I was back then:S
