2012 will be my year, i can feel it, sry , I KNOW IT.
I will not spew my bankroll in bigger stakes shots until I will have the roll for it.
Get coaching when I have a sample of 50k hands played.
Move up to PLO50 by March 2012.
Start playing MTT and get coaching on that as well.
Start playing more live MTT and win a big one.
Goals for 2012. I'd just like to stop donating playing 1/2 NL holdem. Discipline to play solid cards in proper position leads me into losing hands constantly. So sick of losing to donkey hands at tables where players throw chips like its candy and hit their 27 off suit to kill my paints.
I also would like to progress/graduate to 1/3 NL and wouldn't mind seeing charity tournaments online and at real tables. (itd be nice to play for something other than putting cash on my pocket)
Maybe this site can put links to charity online tourneys if any come up!?
Thanks
The Goal:
- Rear wheel drive, reasonable horsepower (occasional track days possible) and at least 4 seats, so my family can fit in it. So at minimum it should be 4 seat VW buggy.
- It is no use to buy it at winter so that would leave the springtime to build up the bankroll that will not be withdrawn.
- At the spring 2013 I will be driving my convertible smiling, wife scared next to me and my kid enjoying in the backseat.
- And at the summer, I will try it out at some racetrack, it will break and I don't mind since I have my current car to get me to work :).
- Then I start playing for spare parts and maintenance.
The situation:
- Currently I play for fun almost daily but short sessions. I play NL10 to NL20.
- I have read some books and studied pokerstrategy videos and some articles.
- I have played SH sit&go's in the past, but Rush poker got me into cash games when I run really bad for quite along time.
- I have been basically running +/-0 for a long time and building my bankroll with rakeback and bonuses.
The Plan.
- Learn to trust my reads ... Too many times I call just to check my read. ..
- Start marking and reviewing (and posting some to forum) the most important hands in session.
- Read few books
- Read pokerstragey articles
- Follow hand review forum
- watch videos
- When things go bad, change the game to lower limit and another format. Maybe PLO or Holdem Sit&Go:s to get the motivation back.
From nl30 to nl50/(nl100), winrate +5bb/100
-Should be easy eventhough I wouldn't play too many hands this year since allready would have a decent bankroll to nl50, but still nitting at nl30...
Winrate atm ~10bb/100 @nl30+nl20
-To improve my game to a level where I could make enough money that I wouldn't have to work while I'm studying at the university..
Over 75k hands
-Lol, this year I played much much more, but due to military service I'm going to have a much less time. So I think 75k in a year would be a nice amount of hands, eventhough I played at last month nearly that many hands. ![]()
Win over 1k$ from a tournament
-I don't play too many tournaments so I wouldn't bet on this.
Maybe I have a luckboxy year 2012, well see.
Run like a god
-Wouldn't bet on this either.
1) Get my FT roll back.
2) Gain supernova status @ Stars at 2012
3) Gain supernova elite status @ Stars at 2013
4) Become black member on Pokerstrategy
My goals for 2012 would be:
Start playing cash games online.
Start playing live.
Study poker on a daily basis.
I would like to win big online tournament and play at least in one big live tournament.
My poker-related goals for 2012 :
- Developing a deeper understanding about mathematics in poker table. Learning to apply things I know and on the other hand spotting those little things that require more theoretical knowledge than I have at the moment.
- Learning to think again the way I used to think a while ago about poker. Learning not to just check, fold, bet or raise, but to play poker again.
- Taking MTTs seriously as a business. Getting my first 5-figure MTT cash. Or at least a 4-fig cash that starts with the number 9.
Non-poker related goal would be getting my Master's degree in mathematics done.
My goals:
Beat nl50 consistently
Reach supernova on Stars
Fix my tilt issues
Learn to play PLO
Find a better balance between poker/other stuff
Note for future me:
If you havent done it you are a lazy f**k ♦
My 2012 Poker Goals:
Move over to live poker (FR Cash Game)
Build a live roll to allow me to play NL100 by the end of the year
Learn to exploit live competent LAGs
Improve my mental game and psychology
Play my A-game
Improve on reading body-language tells
Learn PLO
Find a working strategy for fast casino MTTs
My goals in poker 2012.:
- somehow find more time to play tournament (I only play 1table sit & goes and HU because I have no time for marathon MT tournaments).
- when I finally manage to find some time for larger tournaments, my goal is to get to the last table - to at least one of larger (>100k $) tournaments
- I also waiting my first royal flush of spades, that would be nice to get too ♦
My 2012 goals are:
Go through 2NL to 50NL fr cg
Switch to 6max
Also try mtts and other variant of poker to have some fun
And my biggest goal is to make living out of poker ![]()
GL guys with your goals
For 2012 i want:
-a decent bankroll for sngs
-FT recovering
-at least 10k profit
-and no tilt ♦
I have a lot of goals for 2012 poker related and non-poker goals.
I however will not list all my goals but i wish rather to talk about them. First things first, poker changed my life, that's for sure.
This year i took a serious blow when FTP went down and I was working on my roll for almost a year. Wasn't much, like 500$ i was getting ready to start $6.50 9 man sngs.
Now on pokerstars I play 18 man sngs and doing great.
I focused a lot on improving my game and taking it to the next level not only poker-wise but also in time management, self management and all in all managing this business called poker.
After reading Dusty's book "Treat your poker like a business" which I recommend to everyone I changed the way I see poker.
So for the next year I want:
To take poker more serious as a business.
Pay my collage with the money I make
Become a stronger player on and off the felt
Finding a balance with my personal life, poker life and student life.
Hopefully I will see this community become better and better thus improving ourselves and our game.
2012 is going to be my first serious year at playing poker.
My goals for 2012:
Manage my time and schedule playing hours.
Stop browsing/opening mail and other random stuff.
Attend on average at least one coaching session/week.
Study for at least 4 hours a week.(Above not included)
Maintain Gold status for first 6 months.
Achieve Platinum status before end of year.
Improve my post flop game.
Finally, to achieve all the above in a tilt free environment.
Cheers and gl at the tables this year and next.
