Jimanyjerk, hi, I'm on holidays and haven't been playing much, only 6 hours in the past 8 days. Paid $1 of rake and made $4 of profit. Not much to post about _confused:

If you can't beat Nl2 after 20k hands you have serious leaks in your game! Its hard to beat rake in these levels but not so hard :)

Hey guys whats up! It's a shame I couldn't spend much time on poker this year, was busy with friends and all this holiday stuff.
Have played only 10 sessions so far:

Spoiler

Luckily for me a friend of mine is a Diamond member here on PS. Even more luckily for me:
1. He lives in the same city as me.
2. His OS started crashing and he needed to backup some data.
So he came to me with his hdd and we reviewed my last 3-4 sessions + discussed some of my major leaks in poker.
It turns out I was:
3bet/folding preflop like crazy
cbetting 90% flops without even thinking what I represent to my opponent while cbet bluffing
And the biggest leak overall - aggression seems to be too high, but I cannot help it :f_cool:
Well, anyway I'm doing +14evbb/100 in 4500 hands this year and it's 1/3 of the goal already:

yeah I will definitely give it a shot if I fail to make it $100 by the end of the month. It sucks to leave fishy tables after a double up with MSS.

This , and after all it's only the greenline that matters :). I've seen players make profit only from redline and have a BE blueline and the other way around. It's just a matter of style.

and focus less on money but rather on playing well and improving your game. It's not like you'll make alot of money anyway playing NL2. Just don't look at the bankroll numbers and just go with the flow.

A good Idea might be to only look at your graph and bankroll every week or every 4-5 days and start every new session pretending nothing happened before that. (That means if u ran really bad the day before just forget it and play without those memories).

Also you seem to play hella tight, try to loosen up a little bit, esp out of the later positions.

I took a look at the video.

You playing to many tables!. Beginer should not be playing 6 tables +.
You learn nothing clicking buttons like a bot. Play less tables and and think more about what you doing and why.

That music is not helping.

Stick to 2 tables for a bit and see how you improve

mineriva, thank you for your reply! I can play up to 9 tables, but 4-6 is more comfortable for now. I remember when I was playing 1-2 tables it was sooo boring that I was starting to 3bet like crazy or isolating limpers with almost any2
So I'm not sure if I should decrease tables number, but I will try today for maybe ~30 minutes.
And the music is not that loud like in the video

Good advice mineriva, I find this helps me loads too, in fact I have started to just play one table again, have been taking notes instead of just sitting there hoping for good hands and getting bored. it is amazing how much free info is available!!
An example of this is yesterday villian was calling with Ax and any two suited, I noticed he would always check down to the river if he missed and would always donk with a min raise hoping to be reraised so he could get his chips in when he hit!! once i knew this it was easy to take chips from him!!

@roopopper hi long time... :)

yep note taking very good way to improve also because it makes you consentrate on what is happing.

Oh btw @OP the HUD of yours is very "bussy" and in the time i did not see you use it. Your comment about you getting bored and 3betting with ATC was very interesting. Let me take a guess you play reasonably and would be wining a lot but there is always just that one or two  hands that cost you a stack.

I see (i) you playing to many tables or getting bored and playing ATC when you on less tables; (ii) using a very buzzy HUD; (iii) playing very "funky" music...

IMHO you biggest problem is your mindset. You are not patient enough to wait on 1 or 2 tables and, sorry to say it so blundly, to lazy to apply your mind to every particular situation.

MY advise is play at least 10K hands with no more than 4 tables open at any time makeing sure you apply your mind to every single move you make. Get into the habbit that every move should be considered. The you will see yourself improve

Hey guys, thanks for all the comments! I made some changes in my last session based on your feedback:
1. Didn't have more than 4 tables open at once.
2. Played without music.
3. And HUD... What's wrong with the HUD?
Not sure if it helped, but maybe

Well anyway, here's the giraffe of the last session:

Why didn't I raise preflop? I'll play postflop vs CO in 71% if I limp (he has 71 limp preflop). And only 10% if I raise (he has 10 cold call). I wanted to play this AA vs CO so badly because if he sees the flop, he pays me almost 1/2 of the time (he has 46 WTSD). But while planning this "vs CO play" I forgot about other players in the hand and gave them good price to call with their connectors  Here are my stats+graph for this year:

hey slipkn6t, heres my two cents, i was struggling with 2nl for a while as well,

1) clean up the HUD
all you need i reckon is:

Total hands
--New Line--
TOT VPIP
TOT PFR
--New Line--
Flop Cbet
Flop Fold to Cbet

2) Play the speed tables instead of regular, I often have 5/6 tables open on partypoker where the table VPIP is averaging 40-60% and table PFR is around 5%. Quicker hands equal less boredem aswell so you dont feel the need to multitable as much.

3) If youre playing speed tables then download table ninja, it autoclicks the timebank so whilst your opponents only have 15 seconds to make a decision, you have 60 seconds!

4) Because the speed tables are so loose I limp or call a minraise on all pocket pairs in any position to set mine and A?, sometimes K? suited for flush value. If you miss the flop then check/fold. Its working very well so far.

5) Cbet alot less, it doesnt work against calling stations

6) Dont overplay TPTK-TPGK, so bet until they give you a reason not too. If they suddenly reraise allin its because their rubbish hand has suddenly hit a monster hand on the turn/river.

7) I got rid of the marginal hands from the BSS starting hand charts like KT/JT offsuit and hands like 89suited as they were regularly getting me into trouble.

8) Go through all your losing hands after a session and categorize them.
For example I have:
Suck Out - not really my fault, guy got lucky on the river
Bad Beat - KK losing to AA - 777 losing to 999 etc
Bad Play - Cbet badly against calling stations, overplaying TPTK etc
Helps to analyze if im losing because im playing bad or because of variance.

Those things really helped me get to my $100 and im currenty on bb100/14, hope that helps you in someway!

Heya

You need to raise bigger on the Flop with your KK, the Q on the Turn is a horrible card and I can even see myself checking it down. His range is for sure Qx as in the majority so your equity shifts from being a hands down favourite to a big underdog. No need to put the money in there.

The 2nd hand is just strangely played. do you ever call//limp preflop? :f_eek:

As I see more fishy players playing on 2NL, you are better off raising 4bb + 1bb per limper, works more efficient and counters their loose calling range abit as they get less implied odds :)

Hey,even though you probably like more MSS,you are losing a lot of value not playing with full buy-in against NL2 fishes.Maybe, you should try play with full buy-in until you jump some limits and then adapt to a MSS.But thats just my opinion..Gl man :)

Simply because they have less implied odds to call my raises IP with low pocketpairs.
