Since there's lots of people from all over the world posting in the English community forum, I'm curious to hear your input on this. What are common poker terms in your language?
In Italian, diamonds are "squares," clubs are "flowers," a straight is a "ladder" and quads are a "poker."
Is it just Italian or does your language have funny terms too ♦
in spanish stright is also a "ladder" and quads "poker".
The most dumb thing in spanish is that flush is called "colour" confusing all new players that thing in "all red/all black" cards.

well in lithuania they call quads the carriage and flush-colour also, tho not a lot of people make the mistake mentioned above.
