Sure said coach can say whatever he pleases in a chat box but It reflects badly on him and i dont think you can argue against that.

His political views are of no concern to me. All I care about is his professional qualities in terms of poker. Making such a big deal about a couple of lines in a chat box is both childish and will accomplish nothing. His intent was to discredit the person in question - that's what I have a problem with.

Its got nothing to do with political views. and yes If someone had made the same comment to me I wouldnt take it to such lengths. However IMO using racially insensitive comments to tilt someone is not OK and espeically not from a well known and well respected coach.

Israeli is a nationality not a race, therefore it's a political statement by definition. Just the same way you made your comment a second ago about the US.

EDIT: WE DO NOT CONDONE SUCH RACIST COMMENTS ON PS.COM

Hi All,

As part of our forum principles, we do not condone the use of racial, anti-Semitic, or any other form of abuse.

However, its impossible for us to control/monitor the thoughts and opinions of our coaches, especially remarks made by coaches outside of the PokerStrategy.com platform.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any offence caused and we will be discussing this issue with; Braminc.

Kindest regards,

Mark.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the supportive replies.

A few clarifications :

I used the word "racist" incorrectly in my thread title, you understood me though.

ihufa - your comments are rude, disrespectful and uncalled for.

Tim64 - Thanks for the support. This has indeed happened. Ask Braminc. I am also able to provide the chatlog if necessary.

Swordsdrawn - I think writing these comments in the chatbox is a much more childish act than me getting upset over it.

Mark - Thanks for the apology. Of course you can't control your coaches and what they say.
I was just thinking, that as a coach, who has a reputation in the community, he should watch what he says.

Have a good weekend,
Ophir

I agree, but your response was similar nonetheless. You should learn how to let these things go.
