Hello I was wondering if calling his shove is correct or not.... I am pot commit to some point and I have good chances 9 spades + 3Kings + 3 aces ... like 30% to hit on the river and I am commiting less than that. Do you thing that in the long term this is a profitable call ?

Hello zealas,

Why do you Call preflop? If you want to play against such a stack then ship it preflop! Don't like your play at all!

Best Regards.

Hello veriz,

I dont understand what the stack size of the opponent has to do with shipping it preflop or not ?

Please explain.

Thanks.

Hey zealas,

you had a good drawing-type hand. So, you either want to fold preflop, because you can't really make money here, as drawing-type hands are only of real value when big stacks collide or push to get him to fold and if he calls, you can just hope for an A or K. Calling in this situation would be my last choice, folding my second and re-raising my first.

Kind Regards.

With calling and hoping to hit you wont play it profitable. If you hit you may not get paid, if you not hit you wont be able to make him fold any hands with his stack. ;)
