I have, of course, been reading yours regularly - it is after all very good.
But dude, either move down or move sites - or even both. It's clear your confidence has been affected by your recent bad run, and yes, a lot of it is - EV, but don't bleed your bankroll away for the sake of being too stubborn to do the smart thing.
I don't know what your bankroll management is, but dropping 30 bi in a down swing and not doing anything about it isn't good.
Pokerstars is a tough place to play, full of guys who are good with HUDS and are linked into sites like PTR. The reward programme is poor compared to other sites where the playing experience is poor compared to stars. But at stars you're paying a lot of money for the privilege, its reward programme is geared for high volume at low+ stakes.
Choice of game and bankroll management are the two most important factors in poker.
Get your confidence back, build up your bankroll and go back to stars and beat 50nl - you will do this.
I have been in this kind of spot many times. I have learned that taking a few days away from the actual game, while weighing up options is a good thing.
Sorry if this seems a little in your face for a first blog back - I promise to make the next ones silly and irreverent and will not get upset when you flame me. And I will respond with a bit of flaming of my own as is customary. Of course, you could just flame me for this as well. I won't get upset, but had to say it.

I feel I am qualified to make a contribution to the downswing / run bad issue having been there several times myself as you know.
My personal experience is that its really easy to change your game for the worse when you are on a downswing, you play differently because you believe that you are going to lose, so you adapt your game to lose less if that makes sense?
In my opinion its virtually impossible to beat NL50+ playing passively.
I would take the advice of the previous poster, drop down a level or 2 and fuck the losses, play aggressive poker, scare the shit out of the NL25 fish, then move back up to NL50 when you start winning again.
Dont over-analyze your play, basically bad luck leads to bad play which leads to bad losses.
Get back to playing your usual game and dont think about the money, just about playing aggressive poker based on sound analysis of each ongoing hand.

Poor old Geoff. He gets such a bad press. I bet all my Central European readers have no idea what we're talking about.
I discovered this morning that the chess grades come out twice a year now, and I have for some unfathomable reason gone up to 175 (that's about 2050 for those of you who play outside GOC), which is my highest ever rating, so that's cheered me up.

The very least I'm going to do is move down to NL25. My BRM is up at >25BI, down at <20BI. I am toying with the idea of grinding FL 5CD for a few days to get back to >25BI for NL50 (assuming I can get the latest, patched version of Pokerhands off someone now that the DoJ has closed down the site that was hosting the executable 
). TT offered again to stake me for NL50 yesterday, which is a flattering confidence boost, but I really don't want to play with his money. All my decisions are based on what's best for getting the book done at the moment, so I may end up reluctantly having to take his $$$$ (and fleeing to the Bahamas obv, as that's what people like to do to poor old Monkey Man. Such a soft touch.).

I decided to play some FL 5CD for a couple of days to regrow my bankroll in preparation for a likely session with TT next week. It would be nice to play on NL50, which, after I read the words of wisdom that TT promised me next week, should be nooooo problemo. 
I thought I should practice playing six tables at the lower limits first (1K hands/hour 
), so yesterday I played 1K hands of 10c/20c to start with. It's really fiddly choosing which cards to discard quickly, particularly at a limit where everyone limps to your big blind, you're looking at 24589 and want to ditch the lot. I also took a while to get my HUD set up again, and the fold button seemed elusive too, so I managed to lose about 30BB 
(see graph below). A few adjustments, and a cup of tea later, things were back on course. I then tried 20c/50c, which went quite well. Tonight I went for $1/$2, of which there were six tables running for a lot of the evening, and managed a small profit. In FL 5CD you need to walk a fine line between 'bluffcatching with the top of your range' and 'calling all the time like a complete dog's nob', and I think I was leaning towards the latter at times. I will fix this, and keep playing for two or three sessions and see where I end up. If I'm feeling good, I'll try some $2/$4 and $3/$6 too, both of which I beat at a decent rate last year.
Sadly, I can't post this in BB's instead of $'s, so it looks a bit odd, but I see profit and 4.5K hands in two days! I am actually missing NLHE (sorry Huricano), but I'm not missing the variance.
