Shitty month, not only the downswing but pissed that I played so shitty. I'm just way too loose for NL25 and keep barreling too much, too much money wasted. So I moved to HU for that reason even though my bankroll is small but only bumhunting.

Was also very busy with school and work (got full time work now).

January 2012
Hands played: 30k (NL25) , 3k (HU)
NL SH25 winnings: -$550
NL HU50 winnings: $325
Rakeback: $150
Winnings January: -$75

Things to work on my SH game:
- Less tables
- Tighter
- Less money spew with near no equity hands

Things to work on HU game:
- Watch more vids
- More aggro in some spots

not the best month, but gladly HU saved u
well u obv don't need to be overagro in NL25, just play solid ABC and u will be good :)
anyays i don't understand the point in bluffing with no equity atleast i hope u don't do that vs fish

No no lol, HU is cruel. The swings are insane. Like today:
Won $100 within 11 hands lol because its twopair > tptk etc.

But I was playing 2 hours vs a 94/22 maniac, who donks 60% of flop he crushed me for $300 :f_frown:

He like triple donks on 77Q, 8, 2. I call all streets with Ax, he shows 23o ;(
Or he shows 83o while I have 66 , etc --> thats easy triple donk and almost half stack gone ;(

And more random shits while he ran good and I called too much. :f_frown:

But I must admit HU is really fun, I need more bankroll

Oh and my friend had a maniac who all in ALL hands for 180 hands long! He was up 8BI in the end due variance (the fish was winning) :f_o:

Long live fish :f_mad:

Hmmm. Seriously considering to move to HU. I did spew abit when I was running bad (well not pure spew but way too aggro bluffing 3bet pots with gutshot + acehigh vs wrong opponents). Will play more HU to check things out. HU is quite fun to be honest, only the variance is gay :f_o:

My week @ HU: (about 5k hands so far)

@Quadz: No problem, I don't know how to keep my blog decent lol. If there is some demands (like 3bet pots situations, specific hands) I'll happily try to fufill them if I can. Although I'm no where as good as a coach though

@TilTmuch: Its quite good but you need bankroll. And prepare ALOT of variance. Something like this?
Lowest variance: FR > SH > HU/SNG/TOUR/PLO

Also a nice image for everyone. Don't say "OMG OFCOURSE HE FLOPS TWO PAIR BLABLA". Poker works with probabilities. (yes I tilted before like this on HU ;) )

Dunno. I gotta ask someone about that. I thought it was 12.x% too.

Some HU hands if anyone here plays HU and/or is interested in HU.

Sick fish :f_love:

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BTN/SB with K :club: 7 :club:
Hero raises to $1.50, BB calls $1

Flop: ($3.00) 4 :diamond: 7 :diamond: Q :club: (2 players)
BB bets $2.00, Hero calls $2

Turn: ($7.00) 6 :club: (2 players)
BB bets $5.00, Hero calls $5

River: ($17.00) A :club: (2 players)
BB bets $69.05, Hero calls $58.79 all in

Final Pot: $134.58
BB shows K  3 :club:
Hero shows K :club: 7 :club:
Hero wins $134.08
(Rake: $0.50)

----------------------------------

Hero (BTN/SB): $53.87
BB: $43.28

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BTN/SB with 2 :spade: 8 :diamond:
Hero raises to $1.50, BB calls $1

Flop: ($3.00) 4  8  8 :club: (2 players)
BB bets $0.50, Hero raises to $2.75, BB calls $2.25

Turn: ($8.50) 5 :spade: (2 players)
BB bets $0.50, Hero raises to $7.25, BB calls $6.75

River: ($23.00) 7 :diamond: (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

Though spot, river vbet or not? He c/rai once river though, I don't like that. But small sample.

--------------------------------------

Hero (BB): $50.00
BTN/SB: $50.00

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BB with 9 :club: K :spade:
BTN/SB raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1

Flop: ($3.00) A :club: T :diamond: A  (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets $2, Hero calls $2

Turn: ($7.00) Q  (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets $5, Hero calls $5

River: ($17.00) 4 :spade: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets $10, Hero calls $10

Kinda fucked it up here didn't I? Villain was unknown but look reg after 3bb open (3rd hand). I mean on such boards, assuming NL50 regs have a decent brain will not spew much money here?

-------------------------------------

BB: $76.04
Hero (BTN/SB): $70.24

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BTN/SB with T :club: A :club:
Hero raises to $1.50, BB raises to $3, Hero calls $1.50

Flop: ($6.00) 2 :diamond: 4 :spade: 3 :spade: (2 players)
BB bets $3, Hero calls $3

Turn: ($12.00) 6  (2 players)
BB bets $2.50, Hero raises to $10.50, BB calls $8

River: ($33.00) 7  (2 players)
BB bets $1, Hero calls $1

Villain is unknown but weird bet sizing. Was the raise on turn spew?

Yes as long your opponent don't leave once you have his playstyle noted

1. Test villain's tendancies (how tight/loose calling range)
2. Test villain's aggroness
3. Adjust to him --> hope he don't leave now :P
4. Crush him

Crap, fml deepstack HU. Crushed a 98/41 maniac fish for 4 stacks (400b) , he gets lucky twice in a row and he is up again by 100bb (wins a 130bb and 290bb pot) :f_cry: :f_cry: :f_cry:

I know alot of people leave after winning 400bb but he was so bad :f_cry: :f_cry:

why would you leave after winning 400bb? as long as you feel like playing solid, just play him. most of the time i leave if i am 250bb+ deep eff vs a good player, which is very high variance.

and it kind of doesnt make up, how could you loose 400bb in 2 pots and be another 100bb down? :) you'r still playing on stars?

Hehe I guess your right but it just sucks because I won 400bb within 80 hands orso and he kept rebying and eventually kept hitting everything and he was at one point up to 600bb.

Well its 400bb vs 100bb, he wins some small pots, and than we go ai for 130bb.
Leaves me 270bb vs 230bb , play abit and eventually AA>KK for my 290bb's.

Anyway yeah I play mainly on Stars and abit on 888poker. Is Stars a bad idea?
