If poker is making your living why be self-conscious about it? I mean some people may perceive it as not so much grown up thing to have as a job but it's just some narrow thinking.
Or just ask her if she wants to bet on what you do for a living. If she says to give her a clue say you already gave one.

Tell her that you take drugs. If she is good with that then don't tell here about poker because she will get afraid that you will loose money for drugs.
And if she doesn't handle it then tell here that you are kidding and that you play poker. She will feel relieved and won't even notice that you are a sick gambler.

Women are 10 times better than men when it comes to reading body language, so if you're uncomortable telling her what you do, she'll notice straight away and not be very interested in you.
If you're completely comfortable with who you are and what you do for a living, she's much more likely to accept you. If she still doesn't accept this, she was never the right girl for you anyway.
