this thread makes me feel better, thanks.

You really are throwing money away.

question:

by going all in what hands do you expect to call you that are beating?

or were you trying to bluff? (unlikely)

you really should ask yourself the question. why am i betting, raising or calling here. what am i trying to achieve?

do you see that by taking your line there is no value. they iether fold the 2nd best hand or they call and take all of your money?

stop playing esp nl25 and use some of this never ending bankroll for a coach!!!!

it will be the best investment you will make to date im sure (poker related of course)

:)

goodluck

I kind of understand this. This s**t happens to me too.
Some kind of subconscious block in my brain.

Dialogue in my brain, I guess:
- "I want to make a good play, so I check/fold here."
- "Why fold? I'm all-in."
- "C'mon! Long term decision."
- "I can't success. So, that's why I should call."
Etc, etc.

I'm actually trying to figure out this.

PS. I'm kind of break even player, though.

Well, you can always try:
- playing way less tables at a time;
- trying to be logical and explaining every single decision you make out loud, as you'd teaching someone or better yet, if a coach was sitting next to you;
- do quizzes, and if you do any of them poorly, read the corresponding articles, watch the videos;
- find someone to watch/comment your play;
- re-evaluate what you expect from poker and work your way from there;
- give up poker for good.

Don't forget that it's a game afterall, if you're not having fun playing it or you're not earning enough to offset the "not having fun" part, you shouldn't bother with it.

First tip on a leak that I think you have since you have difficulty folding, which I also have before...

Stop C-betting, bluffing, raising, re-raising LAGS, maniacs and calling stations hoping they will fold, specially if you have nothing or a weak hand. You will only bleed money. It may work sometimes but will fail most of the time. Absolute -EV here. I know this is an obvious advise, but trust me, it was really hard to stop specially when you're subconciously doing it. Someone did a sweat session on me and immediately saw this as my leak. It really helps when someone is pointing out what you are doing wrong. After that, I saw a significant improvement in my game and also with my BR.

-26bb/100 over a large sample isn't the worst i'Ve seen. some megafish have -40bb or -50bb/100 over large samples.

also, why are people trying to talk strategy when that's obviously pointless due to what OP admitted himself: that he does make what he thinks is the correct choice, but instead lets his emotions dictate?
