Hey guys, this event is starting up soon.

I expect almost everyone to be playing today. That mean the players I will be covering today will be:

Nazgul
RobbieV
BongBob
Thorsten77
Bokkie

Come back at 12pm PST when we start the event and our coverage!

Cards are in the air!

Blinds start at 25/25

First update once I find our players

I'm still looking for BongBob but have found quite a few other players.

Thorsten77
Nazgul
RobbieV
Bokkie
JonathanLittle
AaronLambert
Mario "pokerccini" Puccini
grezstar

Thorsten77 is already busto, knocked out by recent bracelet winner Allen Bari
Blinds 25/25, start stack 4.5k

Bari minraised UTG, one all, Thorsten77 makes it 200 with JJ, Bari 4-bet to 450, fold, Thorsten wanted to 5-bet but just called figuring Bari is pretty weak.

Flop 9:h 8:h 4 Bari bet, Thorsten raises, Bari 3-bets, Thorsten moves his chips to 4-bet all in, but Bari jumps the gun and goes all in out of turn. Seeing this and putting Bari on just a draw, Thorsten just calls to get it in on a safe turn.

Turn 2x, safest turn ever. Bari jams and Thorsten makes the easy call.

Bari shows T:h 7:h

River J:h.

Allen Bari

Thorsten thinks he played the hand perfectly and he was right that Bari had nothing preflop. Unfortunately "hearts never lose"

RobbieV meanwhile has doubled up.

UTG limp, villain raise to 125, RobbieV calls with AK:s, SB calls, UTG calls.

Flop K 8:s 3:s. check, check, original raiser c-bet 275, RobbieV calls, two fold

Turn 4x. Villain makes it 900, RobbieV calls

River T:d, villain goes all in and RobbieV calls

villain shows 7:s 6:s for the big draw that missed

Nazgul has also chipped up a little. "I won a sick pot with 8 high"

Bokkie

Aaron Lambert

Grezstar

pokerccini

Jonathan Little

They are in level 3 now, blinds 50/100

Chip counts:

RobbieV 7.5k 9 players
Nazgul 9k 7players
Bokkie 16k 7 players
grezstar 9k 7 players
pokerccini 2.5k 6 players
AaronLambert 12k 7 players
JonathanLittle 4.5k 8 players
BongBob 7k 7 players
Iteopepe88 4.5k 8 players

Bokkie doubled up twice in a row to get that monster stack. In the fir he 4-bet AK preflop and A came on the flop, Turn paired the board and they got it all in on the river. Villain had AQ

In the next hand, UTG limp, Bokkie overlimps (he figured tha it was an easy squeeze for someone else and one player did raise to 250 (blinds 25/50). 3 called, Bokkie made it 1,350 villain raised 2k more, and Bokkie got it all in.

Villain called QQ vs KK. Q comes on the flop and Bokkie sucks outs to double up again

Blinds up to 100/200

A few of our guys are busto. They are JonathanLittle, Iteopepe88 and Maddyhh.

As for the rest, their chip counts are:

Bokkie 9k 3 players
RobbieV 16.5k 5 players
Nazgul 5.7k 4 players
BongBob 7k 5 players
grezstar 4.5k 7 players
AaronLambert 6k 7 players

Bokkie just lost a big hand. He 3-barrel bluffed an OESD but villain called down with top pair.

"I was pretty tight so far, so I hoped that he would fold top pair"

RobbieV was down below 10bb, but doubled up twice in quick succession and is now the huge chip leader on his table. He had also knocked 3 players out.

The big hand he lost to go short was TT vs 33 vs AK.

The player with 33 went all in for 1.2k, RobbieV overshoved with about 8k, and the third player calls with 6.4k holding AK. Villain hit an ace to pick up the huge 150bb pot.

RobbieV made it into Day 2 / Round 2 of the shootout.
Nazgul busto 3rd
Bokkie busto
grezstar busto
AaronLambert busto
Maddyhh busto
BongBob still in, 4 left, 7k chips blinds 150/300/25

He took out Frenchman Team Winamax pro Tristan Clemancon heads-up.

After that final knockout, RobbieV took out 7 of the 8 other players on the table.

In 3 handed play, RobbieV got it in with AK vs 88 against the shortie and he hit a K on the river.

They started heads-up with RobbieV holding a 32k to 10k chip lead.

He said they played many small pot and villain gave him lots of pots. The key hand came when RobbieV picked up AJ, raised pre and got a call.

Flop came A J 6 rainbow. RobbieV bets 600 into a 800 pot, villain makes it 1,600 and RobbieV flats.

Turn K villain bets 850 and RobbieV calls again.

River 8, villain checks, RobbieV jams and villain folds.

In the last hand, villain opened to 450, Robbiev makes it 1,300, villain calls.

Flop 8 8 6 :H, villain check, RobbieV makes it 1,600 and villain goes all in for 7.7k. RobbieV snap calls with KK, villain shows 77 and villain missed to give RobbieV the win.

Nazgul busted when his straight lost to a flush.

They went all in on the turn, villain had a gutshot, a pair and a flush draw while Nazgul had a straight. The flush hit on the river.

Nazgul:" So sick, I keep losing when I'm so far ahead"

Bokkie busted 2 hands after the 3 barrel bluff hand I posted earlier. He lost a flip with AQ vs JJ.

Will go check on BongBob now. Let's hope he goes through as well

Unfortunately, BongBob has also just busted out in 4th from his table.

He shoved A:d 5:d against a limper, and got called by 66. No help on the board and BongBob is out.

I'm going to close out coverage today here, see you tomorrow to see if RobbieV can ship his second table!
