We're starting the coverage here late because of the late finish for yesterdays PLO event Day 1.

I'm going to try to find out players now. Hopefully many of them are still in

Almost 2,900 players signed up for this event.

MikaPaasonen is the only Team PokerStrategy.com player left here. VojtaR and Thorsten77 have busted before the second break.

MikaPaasonen

Shagg

Guennilicous

Gabriel Nassif

Will get you some chip counts after this

1,550 left now, that's about half the starting field.

Some chip counts (100/200/25):

Guennilicous 4k
Jan1000 busto
MikaPaaasonen 21k
Gabrielnassif 4k

Mika told me there weren't any interesting hands so far but he won a lot of flips. Must be nice to be running good.

Dinner break:

MikaPaasonnen 18.5k
Gabrielnassif 11k
Shagg 9.5k

Guennilicous looks like he is busto

Mika was forced to fold on the river in a big pot played in the last hand before dinner.

Mika opened UTG to 500, BU called.

Flop T:d J:c Q:d 8:c 7:h, Mika bets 700, BU calls

Turn 8:c check, BU bets 2,075 with 4.2k behinf, Mika calls

River 7:h check, BU goes all in and Mika tank folds A:d 8:d

Blinds up to 200/400/50 now

MikaPaasonen 13k
GabrielNassif 15k

Mika was dealt 72o twice in a row and he 3-bet them both times

In the first time, player to his right opens 800, Mika makes it 1,800, villain calls

Flop Q 7 3 check, Mika bets 1,800, villain calls

Turn 9 check check

River K check, Mika bets 4.8k villain calls with AK

In the next hand, the same villain opened to 800 again and Mika made it 1,800 again, another player goes all in for 9k and Mika is forced to fold.

"I love my image at the table now"

MikaPaasonen has busted out of this event.

He lost a big pot running AJ into AA. He had called a CO raise to 1.2k from the BU, SB went all in and he called the 4.8k more.

He was then down to around 2k, and stuck it in with J:s T:d. BB calls with A:d 9:h

The board ran out 3 K A K K and Mika was sent to the rails.
