Low flushdraw + gutshot facing xr from original raiser

Why do you expect villain to have mostly value on that flop? Most would cbet the flop with value instead of check/raising.

Regardless i think that you can raise your bigger draw either on the flop or turn and as played you beat all busted draws with the spiked 5.

You also rarely have a 7 in your range and FDs missed so I doubt he folds many better hands.

Because the board is so drawy I think he can go for a xr with his strong madehands to build a big pot faster before scarecards come. Really don't know what other stuff he would do this with except maybe nut draws (and I have horrible equity against that). His flop line just seemed so strong to me that I didn't think I had fold equity.

Flop: Makes a lot more sense for villain to bet all value & draws. I don't think it makes a lot of sense for them to x/r this board with no equity though so it is hard to estimate a range (I would expect more draws then made hands though.) I think your line is fine.

Turn: Optimistic call I think as well as the assumption of 12 outs. Flop x/r could include villain's better straight & flush draws. I think calling is our worst option. Raising may be valid if you have suitable knowledge of opponent's tendencies but failing that I think folding is best.

As played, River is check-back imo.

I think you played hand fine.

1) to say that Villain bets his value hands / draws and check raises only bluffs is pure assumption.
2) a lot of people instantly bet when we check, I don't know if hero is one of them.. but would make sense to check - raise our strong to built the pot vs such guys -so Villain could easily do that vs hero- .

Villain can have all sets in his range, all monster draws. If you raise either flop or turn you iso your self vs a calling range which crushes you... Having that said, re-raising getting all-in on the flop shouldn't be bad vs aggro guys. But your flush is small, so if Villain has a bigger one we are in very bad shape. So ONLY IF Villain is proven aggro I would consider re-raising good play.

Also Villain's cbet stat would be useful in this case.

Now one interesting question imo is what should do on the river when i.e. 4h comes?
