I'm no SH expert but just the way I would've done it:
I'd bet more one the flop and check the turn. if you have reads and stats you could call him if he bets the turn.
the size of his turn bet should also help you decide if you bet your 2 pairs on the river or check and put him in position
this way whilst river gives you 2nd pair, he won't bet so much on the river in case he hit his straight or if he had a set from the flop (supposing he wants to get value from his hand) and it will be less difficult for you to call with your hand
Personally, I would raise it up preflop, you will have more cred OOP on this flop if it is a raised pot. That's if there is a pot postflop.
His river AF indicates that he plays hard a lot of rivers. It's either a bluff pretending to be the nuts, or the nuts.
If it is a bluff, he will repeat it when you have the nuts, so folding is the least expensive option here, though I think a good percentage of the time it will be a bluff, given his river AF. That makes it look like a move.

I do agree with aciddrop though. according to his river AF it is likely for him to bluff here. but (again imo) it is too expensive for you to call
I would c/c turn myself.
He has here so many times KJ, that you can fold and noone should make crazy bluff on limped pot.
So b/f river is fine.
