Running godly in January after 3 months of relatively downswingy and bad running months

This is just my cash graph and the last 4-5k hands are from January
Been running sexy at $2 SnG's as well ... coming first and second in a couple of 27/45 and 90 man SnGs ... regular niners have been running sweet as well :f_biggrin:

LOVE IT after ~3 months of ;(

Money's beside the point here :f_p:

The point is I'm getting preflop monsters (8 times AA within 50 mins of play this morning plus other JJ+ big pairs)

connecting with the flops ... hitting my draws ... quads

Even hit a straight flush today - only had 2-3 of those so far in total

But if you must know then it's 6'tabling NL2 @ Everest
This morning had a 3h session and won $14

But in total comparison, my BR was $83 in december after dwindling
between $60-100 from october til the end of december due to
running real bad, bonuses/rakeback saved me though.

After running good throughout January I've made it to $300+

E01: At the time of running real bad I played SSS and
ran seriously under EV, switched to SnGs and BSS in
January and that's when things turned around

FR or 6-max?

You do realise now that you've braged about running so hot that your going to now have a downswing right? Never get complacent and start bragging...Things then change in a click of the fingers! lmao

Nooo, please, I'll take it all back

FR though

But no, I've been paying my "taxes" and building
up for this monster upswing for having 3 months of
downswing already in my short "poker career" ...

So it's all nice & "paid" for, no worries

Lifetime cash graph yeah - but I've tried it all there
SSS, FL, BSS

Did well in FL (the first upwards going line)
then tried SSS to clear a bonus and got destroyed with it
running massively under EV and now going up again with BSS

I see well stick with one type of game/strategy and learn it. Try not to give up if things go badley. I think FR BSS NL is the way forward until NL100/200. Personally when i get that far i think switching to 6-max is best.

I hope to see you with a graph like this some day (Spot the downswing) :

Sweet lookin' graph you got there

I wanted to try out all the variants to see what I liked best.
Have decided in favor of FR BSS & SnGs ...

Future will tell, which one I will be specializing in ...
ATM I enjoy playing both of them :)

yep, I think I did curse myself again :P

Yesterday was the best day ever steadily throughout all of the 1500 hands I played @ NL2 and NL10

Today ... been running into aces with my monsters 5 times
Set over set and other crap, been able to make most of my losses back though so far :f_p:

E01:

I'm fckn disgusted ... Played 2000 hands and got monsters like crazy
just like yesterday ... AA, KK, AK, AQ, JJ+ basically ...

I either collected the blinds - or got sucked out on ...

lost with AA preflop all'ins multiple times to KK and speculative hands that flopped nut straights etc ... just sickening.

Juuust like good old days ... Aaand @NL10 once again :)

Wtf is wrong with NL10 always givin' suckouts against me?
@NL2 my monsters held up nicely just like they should with just the occasional suckout which is standard ...

Unreal

Standard varriance im affraide. Mindset is most important in these times. our winrate will be determend by how well you play when things arnt going well not when you run good :)

As you had only played like 3.5k hands you where upswinging, its nothing to do with the limit. Normally try to play 30k hands before moving up a limit unless you have previous records telling you you can beat the limit then you just move up as soon as BR allows it.
