Had today off work, so put in 1k hands this morning.
Overall session wasn't too badly played on my part except for a few key hands where i really screwed up.

I hope by posting these hands ill embarrass myself enough to stop doing it X(

UTG: $14.83 (148.3 bb)
MP: $4.73 (47.3 bb)
CO: $3.81 (38.1 bb)

This hand really tilted me,not because of my opponents hand or anything like that. i just couldn't believe i called river.
I think pre is fine, only 25 hands but hes 3betting 15.4%, he could also be doing it because im usually iso raising wide.

flop seems fine. I think folding turn is best, but wtf was i thinking OTR :f_mad:

Preflop: Hero is BTN with K♣ A♦
UTG folds, MP calls $0.10, CO folds, Hero raises to $0.45, SB raises to $1, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.55

Hero (MP): $10.13 (101.3 bb)

not sure if my river call is ok here.
I think he reps Qx or air, and Qx isn't calling the turn often IMO

Preflop: Hero is MP with T♥ K♦
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.30, CO calls $0.30, 3 folds

Flop: ($0.75) 5♥ K♠ Q♠ (2 players)

Thoughts on this hand? he playsit very strong, but his value range is super narrow, TT 2x is v unlikely unless its like A2s. 66 is also unlikely

Preflop: Hero is BTN with Q♠ Q♣
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.25, SB folds, BB calls $0.15

Flop: ($0.55) 2♥ T♦ 2♦ (2 players)

about your JJ calling all in preflop...... :f_confused: im confused. why do you want a coinflip at best here? how are you ahead of zoom tables Big stack range? thier range when shoving so large like this is usually either AA KK or even AKs/o or a pure bluff once in a hundred times..like this hand here:

PokerStars - $0.05 NL ZOOM - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

BTN: $4.47
SB: $11.40
BB: $5.93
UTG: $2.69

MP: $3.07
MP+1: $4.05
Hero (LP): $9.80
CO: $6.43

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has K♠ K♦

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.15, fold, BTN raises to $4.47 and is all-in, fold, fold, Hero calls $4.32

Flop: ($9.01, 2 players) A♠ Q♣ 5♦

Turn: ($9.01, 2 players) 8♣

River: ($9.01, 2 players) T♠

Spoiler

Hero shows K♠ K♦ (One Pair, Kings) (Pre 88%, Flop 96%, Turn 100%)
BTN shows T♣ 2♦ (One Pair, Tens) (Pre 12%, Flop 4%, Turn 0%)
Hero wins $8.64

Yeh i get where your coming from, i guess because in the sample iv had so far, iv noticed them overshoving a wider range like A7o 77, just random stuff like this. Im yet to run into AA KK but iv only played 10k zoom hands, so maybe im being result orientated.
In future i think ill fold just to avoid variance. Unless ofc i have reads

Yes Danny, AK is surely in his range here, but not often, he is trying to trap weaker ranges like AJs AQs AQo, ATs or even QQ JJ, although he shouldve 3bet preflop... when you get 2 callers on that hand preflop, you might want to think about bet/folding next time on the flop. it works good for me in those marginal situations.

about the JJ vs 99 hand ... the guy had 14/8/1.0 stats? even if he has little bit looser stats here why can't you give him credit for a better hand when he raises you not once, but twice on that flop? maybe im wrong but i think that hand was just overplayed. 6xs hands are very well within his range there, as well as full houses and overpairs he was trying to slowplay preflop.

about the A8s hand; well played sir, i wouldnt have done it any differently myself! nice betting on the flop. kept him around for another card.

hope this helped

Had the last few days of the month away from poker.
March was my worst month i have had so far, and i felt like it was really effecting how i was playing toward the end.

So i made the decision to have a break, review hands, watch some videos & return to a new month and feeling fresh again!

Over the next few days i will think of some personal goals i would like to achieve & post in here. for now, Here's last month's graph.

I dont like to pay too much attention to my EV line, but i couldn't help it after the month i had. Im not saying i lost money because of running bad, I also feel i was playing terribly, especially toward the end of the month. But running bad certainly didnt help

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

So time to hit the books so to speak, & hopefully post some positive results this month :f_biggrin:

GL everyone!

Goal time!

:spade: Volume, I don't want to reach a specific volume each month just for the sake of it. I want to focus on quality>quantity & not feel like i have to force longer sessions just to achieve a certain number of hands. (but something around 30k would be nice) ;)

:spade: Posting hands, something i do from time to time, but i really need to start doing it after EVERY session, not just rush through and say 'yeh i played it fine'.

:spade: Results, Another thing that gets me down is checking results after every session, checking the graphs and looking at AIEV. I want to start waiting at least a week or 10k hands before checking from now on. Ill trial this & see weather or not it helps my morale away from the table.

:spade: Hero calls/spewy bets, not really something that i should have to list as a goal, but seeing as i make these kind of ridiculous plays so often lately, i think its mandatory to list.

:spade: join a pokerstrategy.com coaching. I have never done this before so i think its something i definitely need to try.

:spade: note taking its a bit difficult while playing zoom, but something i need to be doing more. I think it will be a big help in game

I think this is enough for now to get me started. ill post more over the upcoming days/weeks.

Thats all for now :)

No graph today, I am going to wait until the 10th or 10K hands before checking results, whichever comes first.

session was fairly interesting ~1100 hands, a few coolers AA<44 KK into AA twice, but i managed to spike a K on one occasion. So i think i was roughly BE.

BTN: $19.49 (194.9 bb)
SB: $18.25 (182.5 bb)
BB: $22.84 (228.4 bb)
UTG: $4.50 (45 bb)
Hero (MP): $10.37 (103.7 bb)
CO: $11.52 (115.2 bb)

villain unknown
his cbet seems really weak,
I need 28%, and against AA,KK,QQ,JJ,AKs,AKo,AQs im getting 31%. But im fairly certain his range is a lot wider when he bets so small.
Turn/river standard i think.

Preflop: Hero is MP with K♥ A♥
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 3 folds, BB raises to $1, Hero calls $0.70

Flop: ($2.05) 9♠ T♦ 3♠ (2 players)
BB bets $0.80, Hero calls $0.80

Turn: ($3.65) K♦ (2 players)
BB bets $2.70, Hero calls $2.70

River: ($9.05) K♣ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $5.87, BB calls $5.87

Spoiler

Results: $20.79 pot ($0.94 rake)
Final Board: 9♠ T♦ 3♠ K♦ K♣
BB showed 6♠ 6♦ and lost (-$10.37 net)
Hero showed K♥ A♥ and won $19.85 ($9.48 net)

Some of your posts are posting 2x. Might want to look into that. Or your just being a noob.

I leave for Melbourne 2moro so we will sort a sesh then. Lets do a real life sesh tho yeah? Maybe like a satdy or sunday? or those wed/thurs I have off work.

But I'll tell you how many stacks I win at crown tho. I'm thinking 11-12? haha

Most of the hands I seen you post look pretty fine to me. Can't do nothing about your coolers really. But maybe we could look at playing IP with AK, QQ and things like that in rush vs super REGs so we don't loss a whole stack or something?

I think checking behind river would have been better here.
But he seems like a bit of a station, so i thought i can get value from 99-QQ 8x.
As played shoving river is probably better to get max value from PP.

OBV not happy when he c/shoves, but i only need to be good 16% of the time.

villain instantly calls the $1 cbet, then instantly calls my c/r so i was like wtf is going on.

FD's are a big part of his range when he snaps the flop bets i think, so obv not happy OTT. If he didnt give me ok odds id find an easy fold.
c/f turn might be the best play here, im not sure, because im going to most likely face a river bet OOP & have to fold.

This month, and to some extent last month, i have been trying to play a lower variance style of play.
But im starting to wonder if my stats are too nitty & exploitable.

It's probably fine at NL10, but iv never had such tight ABC stats. (not including VPIP/PFR, i think they're fairly standard for NL10).

So id love to hear anyone's opinion if they're reading :)

Moth stats so far:
VPIP:24/PRF:20/3bet:2.9/fold to 3bet:81.3/flop cbet:68.7
AF by street: 3.36/2.23/2.42 ~8k hands

The stats im referring to as the tightest are 3bet, fold to 3b & flop cbet.

So if anyone wants to add anything about these stats, if you think they're too tight, or if yours are similar or whatever, feel free to post :)

nice hands danny. I can semi-understand your reasoning for not raising on the flop where the QcTc broadway hand is concerned, although raising isnt wrong either. But you get the nice blank on the turn and the raise size seems pretty stellar for a river all in. NH

i always love stringing together consecutive all ins. Really gets me fired up.

Hey magic, yeh raising flop is probably best being multiway, also to get money in the pot as his bet was so small.. I think raising to ~85 would be better

well, actually i was thinking more like ~1.10 because you would give worse odds to any made hands to hit their full house. :) but they wont fold with any 2 pair/sets on that flop. so make them pay you more imo.

Graph time! i didn't quite make 10k hands yet, but its the 10th of the month so that's good enough for me :)
First time i have looked at my monthly results. Although i accidentally seen my session results yesterday at the bottom of the screen in the reports section when reviewing hands.
Anyone know how to move this? or hide it completely?

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Fairly happy with the results (second half anyway). Although I do want to know what it feels like to run above EV!

will post some hands later also :f_biggrin:
