Grats for scooping the presents!
A Christmas shot
Got another nice little "Christmas gift": Took a little shot at PLO20 just to see how it is and try it out. Cashed 100 $ out from Titan, will put it somewhere else, had about 76 $ left and decided to just try out PLO20. There, I got another little goodie for Christmas:

Played also PLO10 in Titan, but came out break-even there, had nothing really exciting. On PLO4 on Titan I could take half a stack. On Unibet I played PLO4 and forgot to look at my BR, I just know that I won a little something (some Euros).
Altogether a very nice outcome with about +25€. :f_thumbsup::f_drink:
Troll of the year
So, guys: The year slowly comes to an end, tomorrow it´s Christmas and I´ll be away, it´s time to reveal who won "Troll of the Year 2019". My this years "Troll of the Year" is not only "famous" for this "interesting" recipes, but mainly for this awesome and hilarious comcis!! ![]()
Here we see me as doggy playing PLO and betting the pot:
Here he clearly depics his "interesting" food combinations, while user "Floxy" (the cat) and I (the dog) eat Cordon Bleue. Our little squirrel-Troll of the Year, however, prefers Schnitzel with ........... "interesting toppings"
And this is what I sometimes think of this recipes and how I rate them in Skype:
Yes, this poor little squirrel often gets a virtual poo poo in Skype from me for his "exotic" Schnitzel toppings or weird pizzas like "Pizza Perverso" which is topped with Spaghetti Bolognese, chicken breast, salad and salad dressing!!! :f_o::f_o::f_o::f_o:
So guys, let´s hear a big applause for our

As mentioned our new TROLL OF THE YEAR 2019 loves experimental cooking, trying out Schnitzels and pizzas with highly interesting toppings, he posts his interesting recipes with food porn in our inofficial "food and cooking thread" but also proudly presents his recipes and foods in Skype - and for the very "experimental ones" gets rated with a cute virtual poo poo by me. :sifflote::sifflote::sifflote::sifflote:
That´s why this year we also have a special price for our Troll of the Year 2019:
Dear Harrier88, for your highly interesting food combos and recipes I would like to honor you with:
The golden poo poo

But what would be a forum without mods and troll handlers?
For his great skills handling us trolls and cooling us down when we are about to troll slighly overboard and taking care of the evil trolls I would like to honor a special mod!
As eagle he always takes care of us and kicks the bum bum of the evil trolls.
We trolls agree: our Mod of the Year 2019 is our "eagle":
VorpalF2F!!

TROLL OF THE YEAR 2019
Harrier88!!!
Thank you so much, Prim!

2019 has been quite the ride over here, and we've seen some crazy things on the forum. I didn't envy the mods for their job quite a few times. But throughout everything, the forum has always been a nice place to come back to every time, and still is. We have, of course, our beloved IDC-thread which has managed to stand the test of time, we have some excellent blogs, interesting hand discussions, and an ever growing and improving streaming community. And most importantly, we have some truly amazing people on the forum! ![]()
I'm aware that the mods also had to use their big stick on me more than a few times this year. On some issues, I may have also pressed some people on Skype harder than it was appropriate. I would like to apologize for that, and show my appreciation for the great effort you put into keeping this forum clean.
Congratulations also to our Mod of the Year 2019, who was yet again extremely helpful this year and always willing to go the extra mile. Keep flying, Vorpal!
Finally, I would also thank my fellow trolls for being so great to hang out with. My gratitude especially goes to Primrose herself, who has always been an absolutely amazing person to talk to, even if we don't always agree on some issues. Thanks for the "Golden Poo Poo" as well. ![]()
All the best in 2020, everyone! It has been great, and we are far from done.
(And don't worry, Floxy, your trophy is still bigger than mine.)
Awesome comic again, Harrier! :heart::heart::heart::heart:
So, the monkey is of course our user "metalmonkey", the eagle is Vorpal, the wombat is Lazza61 and the brown cat is SDK!:heart::heart:
The gray cat is "MyFloxyBaby" and the puppy is of course me and the squirrel is Harrier.:heart::heart::heart:
As you can see the gray cat, "Floxy" holds still his trophy, cause he was our last years Troll of the Year 2018!
I would like to thank all my readers and hope you follow my exciting transition from two- to four cards! :f_thumbsup::f_thumbsup::f_thumbsup:
Maybe I should explain here, why I decided to focus more on PLO. Well, the first and most important thing was traffic at the SnGs/DONs. The traffic is decreasing and less and less recreational players find their way to the 9max and 6max SnGs. I use to play in the early/late afternoon, right after finishing work and it´s really hard to find enough SnGs, especially those with regular speed.
As you may have read in my SnG-blog (link in the signature) I went through a very long and very nasty downswing this year. I bubbled in a lot of SnGs, lost with hands I dominated, in SnGs and MTTs as well. My BR would have shrank tremendously without the help of PLO - that game saved my BR. During my downswing in tournament poker I was close to quitting poker several times! I was so fed up! I couldn´t take it anymore! That´s where I started to realize how brutal variance can be in tournament poker. So the second reason is variance. I have always been scared of variance in tournament poker. I struggled very very hardly with the mental game. It was not about loosing money, but not winning the money!
But not only the mental game was a big issue for me in SnG/MTTs. I studied and studied, learnt post-flop play, ranges, and still was scared! I have always been scared to move up in limits, scared of the variance in tournament poker. Well, it´s not a surprise that even though I was a winning player, I was not really successful. I just couldn´t master the mental game! There are a lot of all-in situations in tournament poker - as you know. The increasing blinds force to to go all-in several spots and it was extremely frustrating for me to loose my BI to some Villain with a worse hand and then not winning the money. Beeing bubble-girl in SnGs has always been extremely frustrating!
So, this year I gave up on MTTs. Was only playing SnGs, except for Saturdays when I played some MTTs but lost more and more my motivation for them. Now, I´m winning again in SnGs and MTTs, of course got back the lost BI but, however, didn´t get back my motivation and passion for tournament poker. The decreasing and poor traffic on SnGs, my lack of motivation and passion and the lacking "success" just lead me to re-think the format(s) I am playing. I took a SnG/MTT break, hoping I would get my motivation back. I won about 100€ in the German Freeroll on Titan Poker, the only MTT I still play, but ............. hard to motivate myself to get back to SnG/MTT. It´s like ...."I am fed up, I have seen it". So: Is this format really for me? I doubt it!
About 10 years ago, before Black Friday, I was a pretty decent Cash Game player in NL Holdem - grinded up from NL10 to NL100/200. I never had problems to throw money in the pot (don´t ask me why - I don´t know). I never had problems to play with money. It´s not about the money! Money comes and goes. I once put 20€ in the pot on a "phantom str8" (I thought I had the str8 but didn´t), oh boy! Not a big deal. Won it back and of course never did that again and watch now very carefully that I really have the str8! I don´t have problems to put money in the pot and to use it to pressure Villains! It´s somehow because you can´t bust from some tourney. You didn´t invest hours and hours and hours just to bust shy before ITM and leaving the tourney with no money. You know what I mean? In CG you loose money, but you play as long as you like. You can come and go as you like and quit the session whenever you have enough, or you´re tired.
So I think (and I hope), you can smell now what Prim is cooking ...... ![]()
Yes! Prim goes mainly CG!
I just noticed that I made the Santa version of Vorpal kinda look like Delibird from the Pokémon series.
![]()
Pure coincidence, though.
Here we go again...
even though not a really nice start after Christmas, alright then! Played PLO4 and PLO10 on Unibet and as PLO is - a rollercoaster!
Today, I missed a lot of boards and two times when I made the nutstr8 on the turn and got it in vs set - the board paired on river! Meeh! So: stack goodbye. In PLO10 I got it in on the flop with full house 33344. Had 33xx (in the BB) the flop goes 4-4-3, I get it in and get called by A4xx. River: A. The rest went pretty okay, some good bluffs and some good hands, but a lot of junk hands and a lot of totally missed boards.
2,5 stacks down: -10€.
Bummer! Will maybe run better next time?

Haha, gg, deralte! See you again soon at the tables.
Ouch!
Such a nice PLO-session - 2 stacks up and then: headache strikes!

So, first comes first: Ibuprofen! +9€ ....
Prim n go with nice winning! ♠_o:
Looking at my BR I seem to have won big today ♠_o:♠_o:! I ran well, I played aggressive PLO, I built my stacks on PLO4 on Unibet but never thought my BR would grow that much! ♠_o: I don´t notice winnings and losses while I´m at the table, they actually don´t matter as long as I play my best poker. Played PLO10 and PLO4 on Unibet and made +35€, which does not only come from PLO but also from NLHE CG on NL4 and NL10. ♠_o:
So we have again a Prim n Go here! :f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly:
Played some Holdem first, cashed out in iPoker, put the money on Unibet, played PLO4, won, had to interrupt due to migraine, started a new session after I felt better and saw that my BR had grown very nicely! :f_o::f_o::f_o:
