hey how come these coachings arent recorded? would be good to see loads of recorded coachings in the videos section and catch up..
@Dr. Dunne,
It's probably [at a guess] because the coachings for this course are repeated, so you get the same lesson again in a few weeks.
I know how you feel though.

Thank you thank you!
But you didn't see me with beer yet ♦.
Np, the next one will be on Tuesday (NOT thursday).
Re-scheduled to friday, see my signature.
Equilab-Homework:
A few more suggestions for what to look at:
- What if the board is 6
2
8
?
- How do we do against a checkraise on the flop (i.e. What's his range for
checkraising and what's our equity against it).
- What if we have 99 instead of QQ?
- Do we still want to call the turnbet with A8s?
- What if he checks the turn to us, should we bet?
- Let's say we call and the river is a K. Do we want to call another bet? Should
we bet ourselves if he checks to us?
- If he check-calls the turn and the river is a 2, should we valuebet?
- What about a 3?
Edit:
Here are the notes from today's coaching:
calculating FEQ:
He has a 12.22% Range preflop
He has a 4.98% check-call-range on the flop
=> He folds 12.22%-4.98% = 7.24% of hands
=> FEQ: 7.24/12.22 <=> 0.0724 / 0.1222 = 0.59 = 59% FEQ
****************
You bet 6.5$ into 10$. How much foldequity do you need?
-> 6.5/16.5 = 39%
1/2 PSB = 33%
2/3 PSB means: 2/3 / 5/3 = 6 / 15 = 0.4 = 40%
3/4
Pot = 50%
****************
Equity needed to call:
We need to call: €0.50
The pot is: €1.02
=> We need to call €0.5 for a total pot of €2.02
=> 0.5 / 2.02 = ~25% PEQs
If he pots it: We need to call 1.02 for a total of 3.06 => need 33% Equity
Tonight was a great coaching; I know I say all the time the same thing but honestly, this coaching (or it is more fair say this Coach) make out great lessons
there is not enough words to express the feel about these coaching and the content (even if takes century for me to learn as Im slow/retarded ♦ )
Thank you very much Coach
P.S. This time I think I will be back later on as there is so much stuff that Im not sure if I got right!
Hi boss
I don't need to say how good your coachings are bye now, I think we are all in agreement with that one. ♠_cool:
I have a small recommendation for you which I hope is ok.
Given that many people aren't native English speakers, nor as eloquent with the spoken word as you are generally, may I suggest you try to speak just a little slower during explanations?
I fully realise you have limited time to project your thoughts and processes onto the audience, it's just that some students find following you a little stressful.
Thoroughly enjoying as always,
Mal.

Thanks for the feedback!
It is something I'm working on. Once the "heat of battle" starts it's usually just happening that stuff is coming to my mind and I'm trying to cover everything and then new thoughts arise and I have to finish the old ones quickly so the new ones are not to be forgotten and then... eh I guess I'll have to slow down ♦.
Thanks again, I'll try to slow down a little.
Best regards,
Phil
I was trying to do the home-work but it seem missing a part (more likely it was discuss in the live session) but I cannot recall the session (bad memory Kiro, bad memory ... ahi, ahi ahi!)
would be nice if maybe we can have a proper home-work no based or related to any live session?
TY
i) Starting with the assumption that we hold QQ, so
www.pokerstrategy.com
Board: 8h6h2s
Equity Win Tie
MP2 72.36% 72.01% 0.35% { QQ }
MP3 27.64% 27.30% 0.35% { 22+, ATs+, KJs+, QJs, JTs, ATo+, KQo }
Now come the best part; trying to narrow his range (12.22%) due his c/r
And here we are with a 4% of range [88+, 66, AhKh, AhQh, KhQh, AhJh, AhTh]
www.pokerstrategy.com
Board: 8h6h2s
Equity Win Tie
MP2 49.78% 48.62% 1.16% { QQ }
MP3 50.22% 49.06% 1.16% { 88+, 66, AhKh, AhQh, KhQh, AhJh, AhTh }
ii) Instead, if we hold 99
www.pokerstrategy.com
Board: 8h6h2s
Equity Win Tie
MP2 17.45% 16.31% 1.14% { 99 }
MP3 82.55% 81.42% 1.14% { 88+, 66, AhKh, AhQh, KhQh, AhJh, AhTh }
iii) I don’t think we can possible think to call his c/r with A8s, I mean
www.pokerstrategy.com
Board: 8h6h2s
Equity Win Tie
MP2 22.34% 22.34% 0.00% { A8s }
MP3 77.66% 77.66% 0.00% { 88+, 66, AhKh, AhQh, KhQh, AhJh, AhTh }
Slightly better equity than it was early with 99 but still a dam down (imo)
other questions require an assumption that I missing as I believe it was forwarded in ther live session or maybe it should be for any single hand we have analyze?
TY
Hi all,
here's the specification for the homework-spot:
100BB stacks
Hero raises on the button 4BB, Big Blind calls.
Flop 8 :diamond:6 :heart:2
(8.5BB)
BB checks, Hero bets 6BB, BB calls
Turn (20.5BB)
BB best 10BB, Hero?
Case 1: Hero has A8s. Do we want to call the turnbet?
Case 2: Villain checks the turn. Do we want to bet? If yes. why?
Case 3: If he leads and the river is a K:
Do we want to call another bet by him, and if he checks do we want to bet ourselves?
Case 4: Let's assume the turn is a 2 and he check/calls the turn. Can we bet the river?
Case 5: Let's assume the turn is a 3 and he check/calls the turn. Can we bet the river?
What an impressive and very interesting lesson 2nite (imo btw) I really appreciate lessons like that where I really got stuff out!
It was very good and clear in the explanation, at any levels and ground and give me a very good forward understanding of how to assign and slim down ranges.
Also, it was great to refresh and learn further on the analysis basis and how to better look at any hands in our own time and personal session review.
I have hardly manage to participate actively in the chat for example as the things to write down were continuously and very, very interesting (worth to take note absolutely).
Thank you very much Coach and look forward to be part of your next lesson (if I don't die or crash in a car accident of course ♦ )
Hey Kiro,
thanks for the feedback! I hope you don't get in any freak accidents and to see you in the next coachings ;).
Phil
Question:
how often do you fold ATs - AQo to a 3bet. Someone 3betting over 5%? Im not talking in blinds, but
in dealer, CO MP and so
Answer:
We open 3bb, he 3bets to 11bb.
=> We have to call 8bb for a total of 22.5
=> we need 8/22.5 = 0.355 = 35.5% equity
Vs 9%:
Equity Win Tie
BU 40.76% 38.02% 2.74% { ATs }
BB 59.24% 56.50% 2.74% { 99+, A9s+, KJs+, QJs, AJo+, KQo }
Vs 5%:
Equity Win Tie
BU 30.26% 28.72% 1.54% { ATs }
BB 69.74% 68.20% 1.54% { TT+, AJs+, AQo+ }
Equity Win Tie
BU 36.60% 26.74% 9.86% { AQo }
BB 63.40% 53.54% 9.86% { TT+, AJs+, AQo+ }
