WSOP 2012: May 27 - July 13 The 2012 World Series of Poker begins on May 27 and runs for almost two months, with 61 events playing out in Las Vegas. Of course, this culminates in the $10,000 Main Event. Last year, Germany's Pius Heinz outlasted a field of 6,865 players to win a first prize of $8,715,368 after defeating Martin Staszko heads-up. How is possible that the Heads Up event has ended when on the schedule time forward by WSOP.com is listed for today?

The HU is the only event where they move it around to suit the players, because they can be flexible about it. For example the mixed max went on an extra day. This one clearly went faster than expected so they ended it sooner
