WSOP 2012: May 27 - July 13 The 2012 World Series of Poker begins on May 27 and runs for almost two months, with 61 events playing out in Las Vegas. Of course, this culminates in the $10,000 Main Event. Last year, Germany's Pius Heinz outlasted a field of 6,865 players to win a first prize of $8,715,368 after defeating Martin Staszko heads-up. well, 3 of the players here are in top 10 for POY. Ivey, John Monnette, and Hellmuth respectively.

Dan Kelly, Waxman, Bakes, Mosseri are all big names.

Hellmuth chasing #13, Ivey #9, and two people at the table already have bracelets in 2012. This final table could end up being the biggest story of the series.
