Preflop: Hero is MP2 with Q♣, J♣
Hero raises, MP3 calls, 3 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) T♠, J♠, K♠ (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP3 raises, BB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.25 BB) Q♥ (2 players)
Hero bets, MP3 raises, Hero calls.

River: (9.25 BB) Q♠ (2 players)
Hero bets, MP3 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP3 caps, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 17.25 BB

The only information I had was a 74o cap preflop that he made on a previous hand.

Edit by ciRith: I copied the converted hand in for a better viewing. :)

You should use one of the lower buttons in Texasgrabem to copy the hand into your cache instead of selecting the hand by hand. You will get a nice looking converted hand as you can see here everywhere. :)

I like the hand very much. :)

Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows [ Qc, Jc ] a full house, Queens full of Jacks
MP3 shows [ Kh, 9s ] a straight flush, King high
MP3 wins $33.50 USD with a straight flush, King high.

btw:
cirith, against which hands do we 3-bet here ? only against QT or am i missing something ? i mean... if we assume that the opponent is no idiot.

Ehm ok I haven't noticed the suits due to the converter. 3-bet is to much here now.

even if the vilain is a maniac? I thought it woulb be a raise for value... I mean, he would 3-bet with any straight or flush. what do u think?

well if you really know that he would raise a straight or "any" flush here you can 3-bet imo but this board has to be scary... even for a COMPLETE maniac

Just because he capped preflop with 74o doesn't mean that he is a maniac or that he plays postflop the same way. Even some passive opponents do this sometimes if they have enough of your raising.

If your 3-bet would be the cap (so that he can't reraise you) then I like a 3-bet more but here I doubt that you are ahead in 66% of the time anymore.
