Thats the problem, if you call say K10 and flop top pair or something then you just have so many potential reverse implieds, anyway the way these guys play at 6M Mid Stakes is to not get in any marginal post flop spots. I would call alot and min raise flops or something because remember guys.

Hi again Patric,

I would like to get some tips about such hands. I really struggle with situations where people flat 4bet. How to proceed? I have posted one example in hand evaluations forum, but it seems to be dead or something, no evaluations for close to 2 weeks... So maybe I can post it here for ya :f_love:

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($100)
BB ($111)
Hero ($125)
MP ($105)
CO ($100)
BTN ($110)

Dealt to Hero A♠ T♠

Hero raises to $3, UTG+1 calls $3, fold, BTN raises to $13.50, fold, fold, Hero raises to $29, fold, BTN calls $15.50

FLOP ($62.50) K♣ 8♣ K♦

Hero checks, BTN checks

TURN ($62.50) K♣ 8♣ K♦ 8♠

Hero checks, BTN bets $34, Hero folds

BTN wins $59.38

Now such spots give me nothing but headache when I miss the flop. I am really struggling to figure out what is our best action when these guys decide to flat a 4bet.

BTN is 22/10 in 200 hands, but has 10.0 3bet and 40% squeeze stat. I know 200 hands is not the biggest sample but that percentage is really high, thus I went for a 4bet with a blocker.

What is our best option here? I know I played it weak, but couldn't find a way to play it. Does your advice to be aggressive if in doubt apply here? :)

Now when I am looking at it, it seems to me that I should have bet. But what about other flop textures? Say, 8h Jh Qd?

Thank you, as always.

40% sqz from 200 hands is not a huge sample , even tho if you choose to play it fancy i'd still go for an 1/2 flop cbet, or you can even 1/2 turn , he does have a couple of non PP hands in his range , which is pretty bad to shove /float with on that board ..

on 8h Jh Qd i'd just c/f it to be honest , you hit perfectly his range

HUD

I think it is SUPER important to have a good HUD. In the past the main problem was that people didn't know how to use one properly, now the main problem is people try to use it TOO much and put TOO much information on their HUD.

You need to have a HUD that is very easy for you to use and set out correctly, having too many stats does not make sense. It also differs depending on how many tables you play etc.

Here is the HUD that I use at the moment, which I really really like.

Name
Total Hands

- - - - - - - - -

Tot 3bet
Fold to 3bet
Squeeze

- - - - - - - - -

Flop Cbet
Fold to flop Cbet

- - - - - - -

EP PFR
MP PFR
CO PFR
BTN PFR
SB PFR

- - - - - - -

Tot vpip
Tot pfr

- - - - - - - -

Btn steal
Fold to btn steal

I then have all my stats coloured perfectly. The lighter the colours the more passive the guy is, the more red the colour the more good/aggro he us and the more purple he is the more of an absolute maniac he is.

Here is a picture of it in my HEM

not so much postflop stats like WTSD/WT$D, fold to check/raise flop IP/OOP etc.

Do you make the decisions based on game-flow/reads rather than stats?

thanks mate
Rogervieri

Yeh, most post flop stuff comes from game flow and notes that I make, although of course for WTSD etc I just hover over my HUD.

As you can probably see from my posts in the thread I'm very much an advocate that 6max no limit is heavily impacted by a good pre flop game plan.

Hi, sorry to continue on the point, but I recently bought HM2 via Pokerstrategy promotion, and I'm trying to set up "the best HUD" :f_biggrin:

could you at least tell me how you benefit to add the PFR's per position in your HUD?? isn't it easier to have them as a pop-up?? or do you do it on purpose to immediately and quickly see their PFR per position.

EP PFR
MP PFR
CO PFR
BTN PFR
SB PFR

again: could you explain how you benefit from this info (how do you exploit this?)

Basically the first thing I look at when somebody opens is their pfr from each position, vs UTG etc I can make a really quick decision that will usually be right. If I have to use a pop up each time I may get lazy or not checj, I generally avoid ever using a pop up, especially pre flop and having the positional stats there for me to use is the best thing I have ever done regarding using a HUD.

I 3bet a lot vs UTG/UTG+1 so having the stats are very important, it also saves me buy ins for example if I have QQ and guy opens UTG, if I have to look at a pop up maybe I just 3b/5b, but if I have it there and see he opens 9% or something then I will just flat.

Also in Zoom if I am in the cut off and I see that the button has a low pfr from the button then I can raise like 95o here profitably but if I don't have it in front of me then I will just sigh, not checking a pop up, 95, fold and miss a +ev spot, even if it is very close.

last question about this, I promise!! :f_p:

would it therefore be smart to also add (since you are obviously a 3bet maniac _cool: ) the fold3bet per position?

It would look something like this:

Name, hands
--------------
PFR EP
PFR MP
PFR HJ
PFR CO
PFR BTN
PFR SB
-------------
f2 3bet EP
f2 3bet MP
f2 3bet HJ
f2 3bet CO
f2 3bet BTN
f2 3bet SB
--------------
cbet flop
fcbet flop
cbet turn
fcbet turn
WTS
WTS %

or doesn't that make sense?

still looking forward to your HUD aticle...can't wait

PS> from which stakes, do you recommend picking these lines (the hands you posted), they go like call3bet_oop, call c-bet, c/r turn cbet on a blank
