And I don't really want to sell the previous copy (version 1). While I was initially very enthusiastic about doing it, when I look back at it, it was just a very terribly done book (in terms of formatting and illustrations). I still think the content was acceptable especially for its price but it was just very amateurish. I suppose it was a good learning experience though and I did end up selling 20 copies.

I decided to focus on adding some of the theory material instead for theory coaching purposes.

Ok I started taking some shots at NL1k. It did not turn out well as usual. I'm probably down 30-40k at this limit lifetime already, always running like complete crap.

I played around 2h+ and in <1000 hands I lost 10 buyins. What the Fuck...

So I'm basically down 8k for the month. Really wanted to restart grinding to catch up on SNE after going on a holiday at the start of the month, and falling sick for several days after I returned. Good thing about 8 tabling 500/1000 is that I can earn 1000 VPP per hour which is really great. Bad thing is that everyone just keeps running super hot.

I will move back down to 200 again and start thinking of a better gameplan. Maybe I'll set a monetary goal of 75k Bankroll before taking another shot.

Maybe too many tables for a new limit after rest period?

I kinda saw you had at least for me an interesting fact. You once went on a sick downswing(at least it's written so on the first page) and I currently stuck in the same situation. I mean 2 weeks ago I had almost 5k roll almost taking shots at NL100, never had a losing month in 2 years and won in February more then 2,5k$ NL50 over 90k sample. Now 2 weeks later I'm down more then 3,5k$ and can't beat NL20. I mean I believe I can but the 80k sample of NL50&NL20 is so red and in the negative zone that I started to doubt a bit my game.
So let's get to my question: How exactly did you deal with that time? I mean all the hard work vanishing after every session and becoming smaller. Did it affect your play? I mean maybe I just simple ask for advice how to deal with this situation from someone who's been through. TY if you find time to answer this

Play sessions in shorter chunks. Maybe 1.5-2 hours at a time. Playing long sessions are really tilting. And it helps if you don't look at cashier or session winnings. This was the most important first step for me to control my tilt.

How do you deal with downswings? Study more, increase your edge, and grind it out and get used to it. There's no other way. Just make sure that you are not doing the same thing wrong over and over again.

I'm finally back - Support was really slow in restoring my account

My downswing continues - I was about to recover more than half my losses but my luck turned into complete shit again tonight. Don't want to harp too much about my losses but I get really pissed when I think about the 900 hands, -10k which stemmed from 2 hours of play.

Current month's results
Profit: -$10 000
Time: 35 hours
VPP: 29 000 VPPs
2013 Progress: 80 000 VPPs

I am miles away from SNE. I did some calculations. After graduation I should be able to average 6-7 hours of grinding per day, so that's like 200 hours per month X 800 VPP/h = 160 000 VPPs per month. That's after I come back in mid july from my graduation trip though, so I would have to grind like a mad man for 5 months in a row. I think it would help a lot if I don't have to think about stupid school though, such a complete waste of time. 1.5 more months to go...

been away for quite a while. This month's progress has been pretty slow. Only up 1k at the moment after playing 50 hours. I have been experimenting with a few new styles, playing between 22/17/7 to 30/25/12. Found that playing super tight with two huge 3 betters in the blinds when I'm stealing the BU really helps (cutting down my range to 45-50% instead of continuously opening my Q2o and being forced to fold).

School

This is the last week of school, and I'm about to attend the last lesson of my 20 years of former education. Still have some homework to complete, and then I have 2 exam papers, one is Derivatives and the other is some elective which I only need to pass. I'm on the brink of losing my 2nd Upper (Current GPA = 4.10) cos I stopped giving a shit about school 1.5 years ago but if I am lucky I will survive. Not that it really matters anyway

Everyone is busy applying for jobs, and I'm so glad that I don't have to go through all that bullshit hassle.

When this is finally over, no more excuses anymore, I'm going to go all out to improve my game and spend way more time on database analysis and try to achieve other greater things in life.

My results have been pretty weird and while I feel I have been improving by a lot, I'm still making some terrible plays. I'm up 4k in NL200 and down in NL500.

I'm going to start recording more interesting hands in MS Word for coaching purposes. Here's a quick hand.

I've been stalling the release of this book for a long time. I actually finished writing the contents of the book a really long time ago (Aug 2012). My friend was supposed to assist me in finding a professional artist (his cousin) to do my illustrations but somehow the cousin eventually decided not to help out. I have bought the book and finished reading it. It is really easy to digest the information presented by gosubay.
Awesome book for beginners and with the pictures it makes reading less dull more fun.
Definately a good investment for 10 usd , u get to learn stuffs which takes people years to understand , helps u save money and earn more in the long run.
Most importantly it saves you alot of time, a well thought through book which takes you step by step through every street and if you ever felt lost in poker, this book is a must-have. Thumbs up for the great effort Galvin!

It's published by Byron Jacobs' company dandbpoker (Byron Jacobs produces FL vids for Pokerstrategy in case you didn't know). I also see TwiceT/jb/Manu's book listed there even though it's not released yet (scheduled for Oct 2013).

I hope it'll be an interesting read. I haven't read a great book in a long time, and I found MoP a little too complex for me to digest easily so I'll read this first, then give MoP another shot when I'm done.
