Is this what they mean by thin value?
In cash I have to work om my redline and they say thin v-betting is one of the things I can do, is this right?

How do you get such a steady graph (Evwise) that's on first post of the previous page?
Mine's swinging abit above BE, because i keep running into Ax< Ax :/

Hmm I don't know lol. Maybe because I try to play as much postflop as possible instead of preflop (higher variance). Vs the fish you can play alot of postflop, vs regs less.
Its normal/standard to run breakeven'ish for few hundred games (evwise) but after 1k games that line has to go up somehow. If not your either playing too much vs regs and/or have leaks.
The other problem is also sample. How big is yours?
Also tell me your stats? Maybe I can help.

This is not thin vbet lol, was trying to find the best way to get most value out of my hand.

Played two sessions this month so far, somewhat short ones but was happy with the results. Gonna be semi busy preparing my thesis/graduate thingy and want to play some games before I really start graduating because its gonna take like more than half year intense thesis work etc. This month I'm going to try aim 1.5-2k games.

Hmm i can't figure out how to get all my stats out of HEM2. But I tend to tighten up a bit from 2nd blindlevel and there's hardly any postflop game from then.
My nonsd is steadily going up, but it's my sd's thats swinging all ways, cuz most are preflop allins, and with 30/70 stacks, or even more to 50/50.
I already got a sample of 1.5k games and it looks nothing like yours ♦
AFAIK it's normal (if anything with hypers is to be considered normal) to have 2k BE EV stretches...
Solid results btw keep at it. And the hand is awesome, got to remember this for later

Uhm you gotta filter them by stats/results with the most stats available. Than switch the position off and only enable SB. Do the same for BB.
So I haven't played for about a week, damn I'm sorta out of shape. I need abit more time to think through some spots, suddenly 3-tabling got harder ![]()
Anyway I don't know whats wrong with the players but I had to use some time on the flop here to make the decision. Good value/protection shove?

Hmm hearing you say that so easily wonders about my game. I think I'm abit on the nitty side when it comes to playing against fish/unknown.
I considered jamming pre but since the blinds are just 10/20, we have position, isn't easier to have a somewhat less-variance-heavy approach?
Against reg 3bet I usually jam most Ax unless I have reads.
On the flop, you easy jam because of the board or his bet-sizing? Or maybe the player (unknown/looks to be fishy)?
Thanks again for pointing stuffs out daun, hows feb volume going? 20k vpp going good? ♠_biggrin:
It actually should be reverse.
You should 4bet jam more on fishes vs that sizing, its soo wide range, starting from crap hands till AA obv but much more weaker hands + when you jam you will see alot calls from worse, range will be more merged.
contrary regs ranges will be more polarised like they likely wont 3bet nai J9s so A6o can easely become -ev 4bet jam vs most regs.
Otf its 3bet pot, you have 2nd pair and fish can make that bet with atc and mostly will snap you with K high.
This monts volume will be much better, think will make at least 20k vpps
Might need Daun on this one. I usually avoid these stuffs on low-stakes but this reg never folded to cbets yet (3) and he c/raised all of them. I think we should avoid these things on the longterm although it worked out this time, what are your thoughts Daun or anyone playing higher stakes than me.

You would need sick reads to make play like this.
You could float flop if you have read he xraises alot but doesnt barrel turns but even than you should have better equity than T high.
Also cbet smaller, esp if he check raised 3/3.
Problem with turn float is that he will bet river very often because of this turn.
Just give up flop, but if you want to play back than 3bet flop rather than float because this flop offers good barreling opportunities

Yeah good idea, I thought about cbetting smaller vs aggro postflop players but always too lazy and such but will keep in mind again. Thanks for the feedback, don't like the play myself

I recently switched over from 6max SNG's to HU hypers, but I can't even seem to get a positive redline at the $3.5s so far, sample size is small (500-600), but I'm a bit concerned. I have read Mer's ebook and purchased (and watched like 50%) of Chadders pack.
Would you mind if I add you on Skype, just for a quick checkup?
I have send you a friend request in the community tool

Added.
Weird, I started off with mers book and played turbos. I eventually mixed it with hypers and finally moved to hypers, that only with mers book. Friend recommended me chadders; it was really helpful and I started to beat 7s / 15s easily.
Update: Been sick the whole week. Also abit more than a week I will be starting to work fulltime at a company to finish my thesis and graduate so this blog will pretty much be inactive.
My dad has been sick for over a week as well. It was so bad at one point he had to stay a night at the hospital. But he's ok now.
So because of that and me being somewhat lazy/sick and that I got a free PS3 with 8 games I haven't played poker for three weeks.
So yeah in preparation for upcoming monday where I will be working fulltime at a company to finish my thesis/graduate I've been playing games because once its monday I probably won't have much free time. Some games I'm playing are Dota2, Resident Evil 5 and Blood Brothers (android). Funny thing is from Blood Brothers I made over $800 by playing it (sold virtual stuffs), but its harder to make money now since the market is dying but its still a fun game. The money was just a plus.
I don't know why I'm writing this on my blog, maybe because I'm going to re-read my blog for sure in few years haha.
So back to poker. How will the future look like? I think I'm going to play some husngs in the weekend when I get the time (atm prob too addicted to the other games, damn). I also installed twitch on my pc to stream some fun stuffs but I could stream some live husng poker for fun, if anyone is interested I'd def do this once or twice a month and keep the video on my twitch channel. Afterall I gotta keep up the husng game before the regs crushing me and I need to train my multi-tabling skills back.
Going to end this wall of text now, it was originally much longer ![]()
Oh yeah my feb-graph can be found few posts earlier on my blog: Feb 2013 rungood ~7,5% giraffe (havent played since lol)
If anyone still remembers me...
Almost finished with thesis. Haven't been playing poker for like 4 months. Few more weeks and I'm gonna graduate from college. Will take a few months break to enjoy the good life. Gonna be playing poker for income during that time as well, curious how poker has changed during my absence. I really want to enjoy the freedom I have with poker as decent income, before I get a real job/family.
Will probably start at the 15s, maybe with some kind of stake to get back 'in shape'. Any old HUSNG'er can give me some update about game changes?
I miss Poker
Well i'm beating the $15s, so they can't be that hard ![]()
Honestly, since I started playing them i've not noticed much change, but I suppose it's so gradual that you probably won't notice it when you're playing constantly. you'll be the best judge on any changes getting back into them after not playing for 4 months ♦
