That's a bit poo. Shame all the poker rooms I've tried here have either kicked out players from Australia or just have horrible service and low traffic for PLO.
It's all going downhill imo.

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with the previous posters, I do not think this is fair. Especially considering that there are people who made their poker accounts before joining Pokerstrategy, meaning they cannot generate StrategyPoints through normal play.
At least there is still an open discussion forum, though.

im gonna use that open forum thing as an evaluation forum. Ill post there and hope my friends will do the same and ill help the others who post there. all this having to get silver to get help is just a pity attempt to earn more money. which is utter shameful and very very bad move by pokerstrategy. all they care about is money and not their customers anymore. when they take down my beloved FL we will be a whole community leaving this *a lot of curse words* site.

in other words. Thanks for confirming PokerStrategy is going downhill and broke both on money and content wise.

I think you people are too judgmental. Of course things aren't going for the better, that is for sure, but given how many bucks are in the poker economy, this is all the more an incentive to invest 5$ or so into yourself. That said, just grind a little bit and you will be there in no time (you just need to play for 10 days straight and you will rake the necessary points).

I think it's fair to say that PokerStrategy is a business, it needs to make money to continue surviving. It makes it's profits from a % of your rake through the affiliated rooms ( Please read the Business Model to understand more )

It costs PokerStrategy to provide Hand Judges to evaluate users hands, if everyone was a Bronze Member, then there would be no money and no evaluations as they provide small or no rake.

Bronze Members already get a huge amount of Articles to read, Videos to study and Coaching to watch.

It's incredibly easy to get and maintain a Silver Status using our 10 StrategyPoints A Day Promotion. Simply earn 1SP each day for 10 days and you've got Silver, it couldn't be any easy.

but impossible when your only available account is not linked to ps. (from denmark and only able to play on stars and 2 ipoker skins none related to ps)

and it costs nothing to get a hand judge to evaluate, otherwise i know a few who has been totally fucked over by pokerstrategy.

That depends on whether they are a professional or volunteer hand judge which is indicated by their avatar. Professional Hand Judges are on the payroll just as our coaches, video producers and other staff are.

At the end of the day a business has to make money in order to survive, yes there should always be some free material to attract players in which we have with the open hand discussions, free coachings, including pleno1, CollinMoshman, Mindset Seminars etc along with over 450 free videos just in the English Section.

If you take into account our Silver offering, there is nothing anywhere else where you get as much content for that cost even if you're buying the status. (Which is currently $60 for a year, if you're not tracked and you're serious about your game that's just about the best bang for buck you can get, it's less than most private coaches charges for 1 session)

Sad news tho. I joined community by linking up with party poker, then moved to stars. And cant accumulate points this way. Very sad, guys. Dont do it.

If PS is making money from rake, doesn't it make sense to nurture beginners especially so more of us can play higher stakes and make more money. I'm sure it's worth a lot more than $5 a month for us to play higher limits with a couple of months. I think this and other coachings should at least be limited - but cut off altogether? It's not so fair or as profitable for PS IMO.

Can somebody please tell me how many threads per months each status is allowed in the hand evaluations? Thank you.

la situacion es que el bono fue importante pero el sistema de evaluacion debia ser mas fuerte con mas tema para haber llegado a las mesas mejor preparados.....

IMHO, hand evaluations by very knowledgeable people are helpful. But they are only a small part of the knowledge that the added instruction, one can receive, for the equivalent of $5 a month.
