Day 8

150 games - 6.08 hours

Played my C+ games as it was 2 sessions 3 hours each.
This lack of strong game was due to 3 coaching sessions I did today + went for lunch and after it started grinding 6 hours with small brake of 5 minutes in between.

Lesson to be learned and to apply whenever possible - don't play long sessions when you feel tired or when whole day feels super crazy.

That is basically how it went today for me.

Made some lighter calls post flop, HU didn't materialize my edge today. There were setups and coolers but I didn't take full advantage playing my best and that's what matters the most when analyzing my game.

I guess days like days have to happen once in a while. I am fine with it as long as its rare occurrence!

Tomorrow I will not do any coaching except 1 hour guitar lesson which leaves me 2 hours extra for grind to do 3 shorter sessions instead of 2 super long ones!

Here are the graphs for the day

Tomorrow going for 150 games again, if I feel more rested might do 200.

Day 9

No games!

I did however do slide show in power point and record my 1st ever professional video.
Wrote about it all in my blog but basically here is the brake down:

- Since coaching session with Collin Moshman, I have gotten extra motivation to start with video recording
- Feedback from people attending session was great
- People who didn't attend keep asking me daily for video recording of it
- Accepted 6 new people in my program (mostly micro guys) and I want them to have automated approach with up to date videos to crush and move up faster!
- My goal to become Poker Strategy coach this year is very much alive!

Video is 53 minutes long and it deals with opening ranges from all positions.

I have sent it to one Poker Strategy coach to get his opinion whether or not to use it for application for SNG coach position at Poker Strategy.

Plans for today

2 and a half hours of guitar teaching 12-2:30pm, after that grind 6 hours , 3 sessions 2 hours each with brakes, in the evening see ex gf hang out etc

Enjoy the day all :)

Good luck witht he application, I saw your session as well and was very impressed, not only by your knowledge but by your ability to talk at 100km an hour and still crush the games!

Anyone who can keep colin quiet must be doing something right! _cool:

A whole lot of work has definitely gone into your game; magnificent stuff.

Mal.

Thanks a lot Mal really appreciate the support!

It was not my intention to keep Collin quiet but yeah I was super psyched and excited and that can result into talking too much

Day 10

153 games - 6.68 hours

Standard crushing day, finally some decent card distribution and going towards my regular ITM (36.7%). Important thing to note 3 x 50 games sessions and results already shoving in HU focus even more.

I have to leave now and meet the ex soon so just the graphs for the end of the day - enjoy !

Right, it's time to grind now because if you take too long a break, you won't be willing to return to the tables and spend months slacking... just pay a bit more attention to the warmup routine now, make sure you enter the session with a mind cleared from the real life affairs and instead focused on success and visualising the A-game... GL!

I very much agree with things you said Tony

Will try to play without any tv shows in the backgrounds, do it in total silence. If my brain and mind is tuned in on the tables, I will put on 2 and a half man and just play 4x50 games today. If not, I will finish some games and go home take a laptop and do coaching/video producing instead.
Warm up is necessary when I need to reassure myself in my game. I know and still believe my game is excellent. In fact, in future I am going for 4% roi minimum mixing 15s and 30s , aiming at 7% ROI considering it very possible when and if I reach 36.7% ITM on both limits.
I have not seen anybody to have this pre rb ROI but I believe it is possible to have it thanks primarily to my HU game plan. There is of course edge in pre flop, post flop, 3 bet pots, late game ICM, bubble but HU directly influences ROI...

Lets see what happens today.

Day 15

10 hours grind total. Sharkystrator acting up, worked first two sessions, then it stopped loading more than 10 or 12 tables. Will contact maker to see how to fix this asap.

Crazy day, tons of setups, loosing tons of flips, setups in bubble etc.

I feel OK about my focus regardless of the whole swing. May have to drop 30s if I loose another 30 buy ins and stick just to 15s, so another swing like this and I am back at 15s!

Here are the graphs for the day

Results:

ITM graph:

33 vs 21 HU , 6% difference.

The thing that matters is that you were able to maintain focus :f_thumbsup:

Though, as one of my Finnish PLO mates says, you can't buy beer with the yellow line :f_biggrin:, it's positive post-RB for the day even despite the fact that the setups dragged it down as well.

The HU difference is gorgeous as usual.

And of course you're good enough to rebuild at the 15s in no time.

I need 3 more days of 200 games like today to purchase 1.6k$ bonus on Stars.
That will make life and swings easier for me to proceed with mix.
It all depends how I will run in next 600 games. Hopefully I will have some better card distribution then today if not as soon as I loose 900$ more I will stick just to 15s until I grind the bonus and then return to 30s.

Before coming home, did video review of students tournament via replayer and camtasia. Very fun reviewing 1.50$ game on Stars...

Tomorrow aiming for 200 again and hoping for some decent ITM !

I think that, in terms of the risk-adjusted profit, it will be better for you to not wait to buy a $1600 bonus next time but instead to either buy a $600 one or even spend FPPs on Hot tickets.

Agree
If I do decide to continue with 30s, I will definitely do 600$ chunks instead.

Some things to consider - Prague 4 days in June + tons of guitar practicing and just maintaining grind (6.5k VPPs not to loose SN). So won't really need to worry that much for June. I do however want to make money in June pre RB also so might do 2k games with mass multi tabling 15s to decrease variance with my style of play.

Sorry to hear you hit a downswing mate, but as you said in your blog; it's just something which must happen from time to time; it's jut important to play your best even in these situations.

gl recovering, hope you hit a nice heater after this :)

All I want is 36.7% ITM on both limits, then I am sure I will have 6%+ ROI pre rb
I will settle for 36% ITM which will be between 4-5% ROI

Its all about sample. So far 1.3k games this month, 2.7k left to hit 4k mark for May. Things should turn around by then, 2 weeks of 200 games a day grinding.

Some slight change of plans for the day

Waiting for special delivery guy to bring me bus tickets for Prague. Wasn't told how long it would take but anyways have to stay at home and wait for it.
Also 12:30 going to meet a friend for a bit.

Once I finish all the things I will hit the tables, try to go for 4x50 games again.
Have to go home earlier tonight also because tomorrow I will go to cemetery in the morning.

P.S. Tickets just arrived, I am heading to office, may be able to put 200 games today after all.

Day 16

200 games - 9.57 hours

Finally solid distribution today. Returned most of the losses from yesterday which is always great.
1st session this morning my focus was off for 30 minutes but I regained it later and crushed some more.

Today high ITM, 39% and HU similar 1st and 2nd places.

Going to do another video review of students game now and head home.

Day 17

200 games - 9.42 hours

Satisfied with how I played. First 100 games very brutal cause I was running super bad on 15s but had good card distribution on 15s. Finished BE those 100 games.
Another 100 games was a different story - started finally surviving on 30s all ins when ahead and things turned into big profit. Final 30 or so games (4th session) was bad card distribution, setups and not holding up.
Overall very good day at tables.
