I think you got greedy on the river look at the stats we have over that number of hands, he's a nit and fit or fold postflop, he wouldn't call you 2 streets without a strong holding. I would bet the same on flop and turn but definitely x/f on the river.

blockbet-folding 20-30% of the pot size on the river might be a cheaper alternative to find out where you're standing while also extracting some value from AQ or weaker holdings.

Theoretically a nice idea but against a solid nit they are usually aware of what it means and ends up being a stab in your guts as they can turn a pair into bluff by raising you, and not calling with any worse.
Both are disastrous for us.

But aren't nits by definition unlikely to bluff?

i usually don't give people credit for turning sdv into bluffs until i see them doing it.

i also think a <50% riverbet is decent, else probably a x/f, or work on your sizings. i mean, it's really weird that you bet over 3/4 ott but suddenly don't wanna vbet again on the blankest of cards
