Hey Sven, wont forget :f_drink:

First update of the week, let's see the (bad) results from last week.

Omaha cash : 5860 hands -448,57$ (EV -371,20$)

9 bins down last week, not good with such aggressive BRM. Felt that I didn't hit all week and had to give up waaaaaay too often..

On the way to tilty-town, there was very nice customer at the tables last evening. Played 94/36, but unfortunately he ran incredibly hot.

2nd update this week. Let's see about those goals is set last week.

1. 3k hands every week until 28th Feb
1st week completed. 3052 hands in normal tables (2808 in zoom) :f_thumbsup:

2. Gym challenge
5/30 completed

Yesterday was a better day in the tables for a while, what comes to quality of play (results close to break even).

Started to play Spin & Go's to complete Stars daily challenge, but lost both of them (2 required to complete the challenge). Played 10, lost em all. So I though what the hell, I'm going to play these until I'm winning :f_biggrin: It took 68 games, but mission accomplished and 6$ won :f_drink:

In omaha ½bin up, EV +1½bin. Couple of hands:

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 4 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (SB): $118.07 (236.1 bb)
BB: $57.04 (114.1 bb)
CO: $35.50 (71 bb)
BTN: $28.01 (56 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T A A 3
CO calls $0.50, BTN raises to $2.25, Hero raises to $7.75, BB calls $7.25, CO folds, BTN calls $5.50

Flop: ($23.75) 6 J 8 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $22.68, BTN folds, Hero calls $22.68

Turn: ($69.11) 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $26.61 and is all-in, Hero calls $26.61

River: ($122.33) 4 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Spoiler

Results: $122.33 pot ($1.50 rake)
Final Board: 6 J 8 3 4
Hero showed T A A 3 and won $120.83 ($63.79 net)
BB showed 9 T 8 6 and lost (-$57.04 net)

Here we have super-aggro, so let him spew all he wants :f_biggrin:

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $50 (100 bb)
BB: $50 (100 bb)
MP: $37.77 (75.5 bb)
Hero (CO): $180.86 (361.7 bb)
BTN: $166.16 (332.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7 J T A
MP folds, Hero raises to $1.50, BTN raises to $5.25, 2 folds, Hero calls $3.75

Flop: ($11.25) K 4 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $5.50, Hero raises to $14.75, BTN calls $9.25

Turn: ($40.75) J (2 players)
Hero bets $29, BTN calls $29

River: ($98.75) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $64.75, Hero folds

Results: $98.75 pot ($2.50 rake)
Final Board: K 4 2 J 2
Hero mucked 7 J T A and lost (-$49 net)
BTN mucked and won $96.25 ($47.25 net)

Biggest pot of the day (edit. well it's not the biggest, but could've been since stacks so deep). Unfortunately he hit his 10 outer, but at least my turn bet-sizing didn't give him right odds to draw since he had 0 implieds. Could've bet bigger too, but I do have blocker bluffs here too so trying to balance little bit against regulars. If I had blocker bluff, would probably fire the river big, it's illogical line but I think it gives quite nice FE against Q-hi flush here.

Almost forgot third update this week, let's go with GRoDT-update.

Omaha cash : 5648 hands 52,85$ (EV 65,66$)
MTT's : 0 tourney 0$
Spin & Go's : 131 games 39$
Rakeback + 60$ Stellars = 66$ + 60$ = 126 $
Mobile app-games: -3,7$
Result this week: 214,15$
Staking : 0$

Hmmh, first 50$ stellar was super fast to earn, only 1000VPP. Next one after 5000VPP :f_rolleyes: So with the help of massive RB, +week this time.

Spin & Go's, hot run continues, not.

Omaha was a roller coaster ride as usual. BB-wise down 1bin, monetary-wise +1bin in PLO50. Also, red-line is back to usual horrible itself :f_o:

Overall

37 267 Omaha hands
6 219 NLHE zoom hands
= 43 486 Cash game hands

762 Spin & Go's
23 MTT's
=785 Sng / MTT

Profit = +785,05 $
Cash-outs = -172,08 $
Staking = -30,61 $

First update of this week. Just played first session of poker this week, starting with grinding some Spin & Go's to complete January daily mission in Stars. Finally ran good also, played 13 Spins

So how much did that net me? How about 1bin, after every one of those 13 games was only 2x :f_mad: Never gonna run good in these, it's always either the card run or prize-pool's destroying the result.

Poker Stars, $2.82 Buy-in (20/40 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (BB): 865 (21.6 bb)
SB: 635 (15.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J K
SB raises to 80, Hero calls 40

Standard 3b shove against normal opponents, but as this guy played 79/0 he no doubt has a hand and why not take it to flop to outplay him.

Flop: (160) Q T A (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets 160, Hero calls 160

Well, it's a good flop for KJ. He pots it, might look like he is pot committed and at least A always, tempting to just shove but no reason really.

Turn: (480) 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets 395 and is all-in, Hero calls 395

River: (1,270) 9 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results: 1,270 pot
Final Board: Q T A 7 9
Hero showed J K and won 1,270 (635 net)
SB showed 8 8 and lost (-635 net)

Now, in this hand I just though what the hell is this whale actually thinking? Is he bluffing OTT thinking he has some fold equity after potting flop? Does he just think 88 is a good hand in this spot? Who knows :f_eek:

About last week. Goal of 3k omaha hands in normal tables completed again.

Gym challenge 9/30 completed.

Bad week so far. Been playing Spin & Go's

First, All-in EV is too low to make profit in these games, plus the run is horrid as always.

But I have had to try push some games, because I'm dreaming of getting platinum star this month on Stars. Seems that can't quite reach that though, but there is still couple of days time :f_drink: Too bad can't actually grind hard, little travelling ahead on weekend.

Third blog-update of this week.

Yeah, by quick look you might think it's a high roller blog  But I think posting Spin & Go results makes most sense by chip-EV-graphs, as those pretty much tells if you're winning or losing player.

Unfortunately I couldn't grind platinum star as my father's old laptop was no good for playing poker, nor did I get to my 3k omaha hands goal, which means a lot more hands for next week.. Also don't have tracking from the games I played Fri-Sun, so just gonna put the result from those under "mobile app-games".

Omaha cash : 2023 hands -176,60$ (EV -147,29$)
MTT's : 0 tourney 0$
Spin & Go's : 219 games -145$
Rakeback + 0$ Stellars = 77$ + 0$ = 77 $
Mobile app-games: 68,51 $
Result this week: -176,09 $
Staking : 0$

Overall

39 290 Omaha hands
6 219 NLHE zoom hands
= 45 509 Cash game hands

981 Spin & Go's
23 MTT's

Also, no Zoom included in this, only normal table games count. I allow myself one week less than 3k hands, if I can make it up next week during this period.

Ok, since I didn't get 3k omaha hands last week, it's gonna be busy week if I want to achieve this goal. I have only 618 hands last week in normal tables (excluding zoom), so that means 5382 hands this week :f_eek: Lets see if I can make it!

Gym challenge 12/30 completed. 26 days left in February and 18 exercising days, so gotta pick up speed to achieve this goal too.

Thanks!

It has been even less busy week than last, so there is no way I'm going to achieve my goal number 1) with poker volume :f_frown:

Only 2 sessions this week, but here's one interesting spot.

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (SB): $50.46 (100.9 bb)
BB: $50 (100 bb) reg VPIP 23 / PFR 11 / 3b 0 / 37 hands (5-handed)
MP: $85.57 (171.1 bb)
CO: $20 (40 bb)
BTN: $72.91 (145.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7 5 6 8
3 folds, Hero raises to $1.50, BB calls $1

Std.

Flop: ($3) J 7 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $2, BB calls $2

Gut-shot + pair, going for cbet.

Turn: ($7) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $5, BB calls $5

Nuts, more money in the middle.

River: ($17) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $11, BB raises to $41.50 and is all-in, Hero?

Well, it's not a perfect card, but value-bet obviously as overpairs have easier time to call when board paired and all bigger wraps T98 missed. Villain shoves :rage:

Spoiler

But what is he repping, super-slow-played JJ? 73 or 74? J7 I think villain raises always on the flop. Decided to call as I have also blocker to those 73/74.

Hero calls $30.50

Results: $100 pot ($2.50 rake)
Final Board: J 7 3 4 7
Hero showed 7 5 6 8 and won $97.50 ($47.50 net)
BB showed 6 J 3 4 and lost (-$50 net)

Villain had counterfeited 2prs + bunch of blockers to fullhouses / 6 to block straight, ballsy play :f_thumbsup:

First update of the week.

So, last week I missed the goal of 5k+ omaha hands, so I missed my 1st goal in Goal-Getter: Prove yourself and get rewarded! -campaign. :f_frown: 2nd goal gym challenge 19/30 completed, 11 to go in 18 days.

Next goal with poker volume will be the Stars "Ultimate challenge bonus". My bonus requires 4485VPP for 97,5 usd reward. 3652 VPP achieved, so I need to get 833 VPP by this Sunday. That's doable, monetary reward should motivate me to grind those points :f_grin:

2nd update

Mission accomplished, no risks with the deadline this time and "Ultimate challenge bonus" grinded. With that 97,5$ this week is 4$ up, which is nice since the week started with massive 400$ downswing. Now omaha is only 125$ in the red, and EV only -25$ so nice comeback this time :f_thumbsup:

Money graph

Biggest lost pot, aka biggest bad beat.

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Omaha Cash, 6 Players

SB: $72.93 (145.9 bb)
BB: $67.25 (134.5 bb)
UTG: $74.56 (149.1 bb)
MP: $59.82 (119.6 bb)
CO: $46.50 (93 bb)
Hero (BTN): $53.15 (106.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with A 4 J J
UTG folds, MP raises to $1.75, CO folds, Hero calls $1.75, SB calls $1.50, BB calls $1.25

Flop: ($7) 2 6 J (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP bets $6.68, Hero calls $6.68, SB folds, BB calls $6.68

Top set into what seems to be rather dry board, some baby-wraps and flush draw out there. As I'm in position, I decide to just call this guys pot cbet.

Turn: ($27.04) A (3 players)
BB checks, MP bets $13.50, Hero raises to $44.72 and is all-in, BB folds, MP calls $31.22

Nothing changes, as we have ace-blocker too, GII.

River: ($116.48) K (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results: $116.48 pot ($2.50 rake)

Spoiler

Final Board: 2 6 J A K
BB mucked and lost (-$8.43 net)
MP showed 2 K T K and won $113.98 ($60.83 net)
Hero showed A 4 J J and lost (-$53.15 net)

No idea how this guy's thinking process went, probably didn't have any :nh:

Biggest won pot

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Omaha Cash, 6 Players

Hero (SB): $83.65 (167.3 bb)

MP: $143.58 (287.2 bb)

BTN: $45.46 (90.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A A J 9
2 folds, CO raises to $1.50, BTN calls $1.50, Hero calls $1.25, BB folds

Decent aces, but not good enough for me to sqz against unknown opponents as there is no A-hi suit. Now that I look they're both short so probably fish and could go ahead with sqz, but guess I missed it as this was zoom.

Flop: ($5) 5 6 A (3 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $3, BTN raises to $13.78, Hero raises to $49.12, CO calls $36.01 and is all-in, BTN calls $30.18 and is all-in

Turn: ($131.93) 3 (3 players, 2 are all-in)
River: ($131.93) T (3 players, 2 are all-in)

Spoiler

Results: $131.93 pot ($2.50 rake)
Final Board: 5 6 A 3 T
Hero showed A A J 9 and won $129.43 ($83.97 net)
CO showed 9 A 5 7 and lost (-$40.51 net)
BTN showed 5 4 5 3 and lost (-$45.46 net)

Standard shove here, call from opponent with A975 two pairs+gutshot is horrible, opponent with flushdraw + OESD had nice 50% equity 3way when our aces had only 40%.

First update of the week.

Joined Full Tilt now that there was this promo where you could win 100$ Full Tilt Classic -main event ticket, and wouldn't you know, I won one of the tickets! Big buy-in tourney coming up next Sunday!

But joining Full Tilt was very pleasant also because it solves my problem how to grind PokerStrategy-Points here (as my Stars-account isn't tracked). I've been playing Ipoker, 888 etc, but I hate pretty much every software out there and how hard it is to get good omaha game running. Full Tilt software is pretty decent, and while there was 0 omaha tables running, there was some players in rush-omaha so grinding PS-points is fast as lightning from now on :f_drink:

Also, very weird games for a player accustomed to Stars Zoom. Couple of hands:

Sorry about that, my interest in poker in last two months has been very low. Some conclusion to Bankroll Challenge and Goal-Getter: Prove yourself -campaign:

My staring capital in Bankroll challenge was 1 150,23 $, my current BR is

So I ended up 555,75$ in profit (+made a cashout worth 172,08 $).

About Goal Getter -campaign, my goals were:

1. Poker goal 3k hands / week, that failed.

2. Exercising goal 30 times in gym during campaign period, ended up with 31 gym visits so this was completed. 20 times in February's 28 days, not much rest that month :f_eek:

3. Studying goal. This one also failed, I only a week ago got my studies moving on.
