This was a very weird hand i think. Villain is very straightforward and tight. I don't expect much trickery from him. On the one hand its ridiculous to even be thinking about folding the nut FH in HU. But on the other hand no other hand except quads makes any sense. I'm repping a T, so its very unlikely that he is bluffing. And even more unlikely that he is overbetting with a T, since he can't get called by worse etc... In the end I called because I wasn't 100% sure with my read, thought there was a small chance that he was spazzing. I wonder if this is a clear fold for world class HU players.

Days 4 – 6
The first two days were small losing days and were quite frustrating. I only played for an hour on the first day and after realizing I was playing my C game took the day off to do some RL stuff. I grinded a lot on the second day and was up a little bit but ended up losing in the end. The games were quiet tough and I was coolered quite a few times. I played my B game.
The third day was the best in 2015 so far! Played quite a lot of NL1k (but almost no NL2k), ran very well. Can’t say I played my best, but didn’t make any big mistakes, I don’t think. Also played a little bit of HU. So far the results since I started the challenge look good. Obviously running above EV and average winrate.

Days 7 – 16
So the run good upswing continues. I am still running good and playing ok. The theme of the last 10 days was me winning all flips/all ins and constantly getting coolered set vs set in other situations. Lol this has never happened to me!
I also experienced a couple new things in NLHE. Its not that often that something new happens when you are playing every day lol. THe first thing is that I realized that NLHE deep is an entirely different ball game. I was playing 4way with about 500 deep against two regs and a fish and even though the fish was playing 60 PFR, I felt completely out of my comfort zone and eventually quit the game (it was getting late too, and i felt lost in so many spots.)
The other new thing is that I have tried NL5k for the first time in my life. I have only played 3 hands. On the third hand the flop came JT9 in a 3-way squeeze pot and i had KQ! I ended up stacking the fish hehe.
I also went away camping for the weekend. Enjoyed it a lot. I think as a poker player its really important to get away from it all sometimes.

Days 17 – 21
So I'm facing a legit dillema. I can get better rb on my account. However I don't know if I should switch because I have been running so good on the current account. Dunno, poker makes you supersticious.:f_grin:

Days 22 – 24
The past couple of days have been absolutely AMAZING! I played my absolute best game. Made very good plays and reads and my concentration has been very good despite playing many tables and long sessions.
Yesterday was the absolute best day this year. I won more than $8,000 and played 11 hours - a 7 hour sessions followed by another 4 hour session! Quite a bit of the volume was on NL2k too. So far the 2015 year of the sheep is treating me very good. Maybe the run good is due to me starting the blog?! Anyway, now I'm really pumped up to finish this challenge.
In other news I got adware on my computer, so now I have a million adverts when I browse. I got CCoaupScaniNEr, realdeaul, sAvernEtt - programs which got installed without my permission and which i cannot delete. Any advice on that is greatly appreciated.

Days 25 – 27 (End of January)
BING BLANG BLAOW! Cash on titty. That could have bought a lot of groceries lol.
This has been an absolutely phenomenal poker month for me. The best in my life so far.
I went hiking over the weekend. Although incredibly tired, I somehow feeled refreshed and ready to start a new month. Feel incredibly motivated to start grinding as much as I can and finish this challenge ASAP.
Yesterday I watched the blackjack movie "The Gambler". The guy is pretty much a degen and plays the blackjack equivalent of shoving any two in poker (i think). He ends up owing some dangerous people $260,000 or more. I was kinda shocked at the level of degen in the movie. I don't even know why - I see this everyday!

Saw this also - I really wanted to like it but ... it just isn't that great. It's enjoyable enough but I found the leads motivations and changes in intention not convincing enough to justify the action.

Days 28 – 31
Pain and Suffering. That’s what Pilates is all about. If it hurts, then you are probably doing it wrong! Because it should hurt like HELL. However, its so rewarding at the end.:f_grin:
Thanks God poker is easier hehe. Playing poker has been so relaxing lately, I almost feel like iI'm resting from life, while playing.
@ MasochisticDesire : Yeh ' The Gambler' is not exactly an example of cinematic brilliance. However, It probably is a quite realistic depiction of degen logic. I think his sudden decision to quit is kinda unrealistic though - ESPECIALLY when he has no debt!

Today I'm happy. Despite losing $5k in the last 2 days. I mean how many people can afford to lose so much money and not really be influenced by this loss? Besides I secretly like downswings because It's a fact that you improve during this time. I can never motivate myself to work on my game, when I am crushing anyway. But when I am losing, the paranoia of being outdated pushes me to learn and improve my game! It might not seem like a big deal given I am still up by so much, but trust me it still feels like sh*t when you hit a rough patch. I think its safe to say that my upswing is officially halted. I had a -5k day at first and was down to $35k then I was up to 45K and now I am again at 38k. So this whole week is pretty much breakeven. Tomorrow I am going camping. Next week I will be working on my game a lot and playing a bit less. I have so many ideas how to improve my game, but I have been lazy on it lately. Now's the time.
