Spoiler

BB wins 27.2 BB

villain trys to play tricky slow playing 2 pr and making large bets to avoid showdown
preflop this is my fist steal in a number of orbits
flop hit tpwk and value bet it 3/4 because villain has low fold to fcbet
turn does not change anything so value bet again
river I think I only have 2 streets of value and I have used them both
villain tanks or a while then makes 3/4 bet
I consider a crying call but fold
your thoughts

with a hand like Q9 i dont like how big we make this pot... i think i usually limp blind on blind preflop with this hand and try to control the pot size a bit better... as played i think river is a clear fold, for that bet size we are not good here often enough to justify a call imo.

I would make smaller bets on flop and turn and will fold the river.

villain stats: BB: 72.8 BB (VPIP: 37.74, PFR: 22.64, 3Bet Preflop: 11.76, Hands: 53)
Seeing these stats i would assume villain does not fold preflop vs steals (he PFR 22% and his VPIP=37% so he calls 37-22=15%

1)Reasons to open Q9o from SB are for value or for steal? Do we want to steal vs a player that plays back by both calling and 3betting?
No! Instead our adaptation is tightening up, and probably calling some 3bets w/AJ,KQ... to play postflop

2)Yes,you want to play hands vs fishes and in long run you will win because of his bad mistakes postflop.
When u isolate players like these, with hands like these i like the size of your raise! small, just to see a pot vs him.
Problem in this case is a small size encourage him to play, and he has position, and it is just you vs him ur not isolating anything.

ok. So river your pot odds are 20(to call)/68.4 (pot afterrcall)=0.29=29%
to calculate our equity we need a handrange for him. With next handrrange we get around 40% and it's close. Without your timing tell it;s a call.

I think bet sizes are ok. If a blank was on river, you can even bet for value half pot on river.

thanks for the reply guys @bonecrusher that's a a lot of effort thank you.
In game I thought my q9o bet was for value as it was the best hand in a few orbits. I left the table a few hands later because without the ability to steal blinds profitably it would be -ev to stay

It is a way too small o a sample in order to make such assumptions. For all 53hands he can be dealt such cards so he can play them aggressively.

I think it's good postflop, but I would go with 3x preflop SB vs BB because I prooved to myself that we will have higher fold equity and the higher fold equity will bring us more profit than better stealing price.
