Ok :), I think I should review tonight hands where I call 3bet OOP in Holdem manager and look how I'm doing. I'm calling too much postflop I think. Thanks for the support :)

@results get rich die trying and goals

It's been a pretty bad week, low in volume and lost couple of buyins.

Have to analyse what happened after 3k hands, I think it's just bad play with some variance.
This week have to get more volume in & study my game more. Losing still a lot from the blinds.

Results:

Hands:
Starting roll: $ 333,82
Net won (incl tournaments or other) : - $ 44,50
Bankroll: $ 289,32

This week have to update a lot more hands and get my volume back up.

Hi Nielbe,

Yeah pretty funny that a classmate is active here and we find out at the end of the year haha!.

Yesterday had a coaching by W34z3l. Was a great coaching and spot some leaks in my blind defense and postflop play. Have a lot new stuff to work on!

Also had a sick thing yesterday:

2nd royal flush in 2 days :f_o::f_o::f_love:

Superb - did you manage to get paid off?

How do you have the stacks displayed in bb on your table? I presume that's some kind of 3rd party software?

Yes got paid of twice haha!

yeah im using a software for that. I dont know if i can post it here so I sent you a message. Its cost like 30$ , bought it last week. I think its already paying off. Get me to focus a lot more and helps me a lot not focussing on results and its pretty easy to calculate potodds. Definitly if im playing nl16 hopefully in a month or so.

Thanks for that :)

Unfortunately it looks like its stars only (I used to play stars, but switched to iPoker - mainly to earn access to Pokerstrategy - if [when] I go back to stars, I'll definitely look that software up.)

EDIT - I notice that the $30 is for a 1 year licence only. Also note that there is a free 30 day trial. I won't post it, but its advertised on Pokerstrategy, so I reckon they'd be ok with it being posted - at least a link to their "advert".

Hi All,

Had a better week last week. I won back 4 stacks, but still down for the month. Played some better poker and had some more study. Volume wise I am not happy and with this pace I’m not getting my 50k hands and goldstar on stars. Positive thing was I had a great coaching from w34z3l. We focused meanly on blind play and found some major issues why I’m leaking a lot of money at the blinds. The rest of the month I will focus primarily to be a better player from the blinds, and will post more hands & discussions about blind play.
Here the graph of last week:

Last week bankroll: $ 289,32
Winnings: $ + 43,54
Coaching: $ - 60
Hud: $ - 30
Rakeback & tourneys: $ + 4,67
Current bankroll: $ 247,53

Also there is still pending a cashout of €200 on another site that I won with sportsbetting (quit with that haha) and I’m going to add that to my roll.

This week I have some exams at school so have to focus more on that. The school year is almost over so I’m probably gonna catch a lot of volume after this week. For this week I plan around 5k hands, to catch the last 2 weeks of June the other 35k hands.

After the exams the grinding will start again, same here!

About the 5K hands, how many hours of playing Zoom is that (and on how many tables)?

Im playing 3 tables of zoom. If I look at my database I play around 620 per hour. So the 5k hands would be about 8 hours.

Hi All,

Update from me!

Last week:

  • Did not get my 5k in volume, with I’m not happy with.
  • Lost some buyins this week. What worries me is that my redline is declining to hard. Also overall this month my redline is declining pretty hard. I know it’s definitely not my preflop game that is causing this. :f_o:

Here the graph of last week:

This week I need to improve my grinding and my play. This will be a hard study week. Some goals:

  • Create grinding schedule
  • Review every session my big losing and winning hands
  • Search where I’m losing so much redline in holdem manager
  • Re-watch red line rampage totally
  • Play 10k hands
  • Read 10 pages of how to be a professional poker player

A lot to do and a lot to learn!

Let start some crushing :f_cool:

Yesterday watched moneyball with Brad Pitt. Great motivational movie!

Thnx 8runo,

I'm back home! Had a great vacation, nice weather the whole time and enjoyed my time there. Today I will start picking up poker again organize it and tomorrow starting to go back on the grind.

In Gran Canaria I played a live poker tournament in a casino (€ 40 rebuy). It was my second live tournament. I got second to win € 629 so that was a nice experience.

Will soon update new goals and plans.

Nice win GG, something similar I also did this year when I had a small vacation in Amsterdam and in 6-7 hours of playing some cash game in Holland casino i won 700 or 900 euro (not recall exactly the amount because this hours where played in 2 days). This is one of the +EV things of being a poker player in holiday, if you have a casino nearby you will return home with more money than you left in the first place _cool:
Hope you will have the same success also now online :)

Thanks Teddypoker!,

Long time no update.. Not amused wtih myself about not keeping this blog up to date.
After my vacation I had a hard time getting back into the daily grind and study. Also played a lot of tournaments for fun, but did not very well in those so my bankroll suffered a lot from that. Last week I picked my volume back-up, and being not that happy about my volume, i'm happy that I started back grinding.

So it's time to pick those things up that I let slip away. This means:

  • blocking tournaments on stars
  • regulary updating this blog
  • grinding mode on
  • study mode on

In this evening I will make and post my grinding and study plan.

grinding:

  • tuesday - 500 hands
  • wednesday - 1500 hands
  • thursday - 1000 hands
  • friday - 500 hands
  • saturday - 1000 hands
  • sunday - 1000 hands

total of: 5500 hands

Main focus this week will be 3bet pots:
- 3bet pots, cbetting or not and how to play further -> look with flopzilla -> database review
- watch maximizing EV in resteal spots
- look at my 3bet ranges and how they flop on different boards vs different calling ranges
