Hello again,
Another hand from me, another situation I don´t know what to do
PokerStars - €0.02 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4
BTN: 101.5 BB (VPIP: 37.50, PFR: 25.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 8)
Hero (SB): 101.5 BB
BB: 61 BB (VPIP: 62.50, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 8)
UTG: 280.5 BB (VPIP: 29.41, PFR: 23.53, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 17)
MP: 155 BB (VPIP: 25.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 8)
CO: 100 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 1)
Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 9♠ 9♦
UTG calls 1 BB, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 4 BB, fold, UTG calls 3 BB
Flop: (9 BB, 2 players) T♦ 6♠ Q♥
Hero bets 6 BB, UTG raises to 12 BB, fold
PREFLOP:
UTG limps into the pot, I raise *4BB (3*raise + 1*limp, is it right?), UTG calls.
FLOP:
2 cards higher than my 99, I think to do a continuation bet to make him fold. He raises me, I fold.
So my question is: should I stop donking Continuation Bets? Is it a spot where I see myself a couple of times a day and I don´t know what to do.
The opening range on SB when nobody goes into the money is quite high, and the BB some time calls, with some of the weaker hands I don´t know how to act when I don´t hit in the flop, examples: 77-22, A9o-A2o, and so on.
Another example is when you raised a couple of limpers with AJo (I wouldn´t do a Continuation bet against 2 players if I didn´t hit the flop), but one of them calls and you have to play without position, should I raise? Depends of the flop I guess, and the Rank I put this particular player.
Any insight will help, thanks again.
