Preflop
V calls H's 4-bet. The remaining stacks don't give him enough implied odds for set-mining. His range can be limited to broadway-cards.
Flop
H is preflop aggressor. H's hand is TP/TK, with 4 outs to a straight. Equilab gives H an equity of 61% against his broadway hand.

IMO H has to bet or Ch/R.

Don't understand why would you raise him in order to fold hit flop. I don't mean by that you should've called him on the flop but at least reconsider your sizing pre and validity of whole preflop action. You won't get him folding by betting barely 2,7x OOP in already 3betted pot. I advise you to adjust sizes taking into account your position and hand playability out of position

Something in your range and math is not ok. CO 3B vs MP. His range is not Broadways. It may be KK+ for value and some AJo, KQo as a bluff. We can add QQ and AK to value range too. Even the bluff range hits this board.

Preflop I prefer calling the 3bet. As played, I think you played fine on the flop. You have to add some bluffs in his range to be able to call but his broadways have GS+pairs so they will probably check back.

I made 2,5x, don't understand, do you think that can't fold for a 4 bet of 2,5x? Normal size of 4bet I think

I made the math with a possible range

http://pt.pokerstrategy.com
Board: AdQhJs
Equity Vencer Empate
MP2 47.43% 38.83% 8.61% { 99+, AJs+, AJo+ }
MP3 52.57% 43.96% 8.61% { AhKd }

But I don't know if he can call with 99,TT or JQ too

He will not bet TT-99.

MP2 37.43% 22.92% 14.51% AhKd
MP3 62.57% 48.05% 14.51% JJ+, AJs+, AQo+

and all this is if he has a depolarized range.

Preflop, I think calling the 3bet would have been better. After the flop, your play seems good. He could be value betting KK, but you have to consider QQ and JJ too. He could even have gotten loose and 3bet with AJ, AQ. Either way, I like the fold.

In the face of other scourges that might have occured, cosmetic changes like sizing adjustment may not seem that important, remember though AKo is very hard to play OOP in 4betted pot that's why you could've raised him bigger (with worse odds given, more odds he folds) or simply called. I'm rather aggressive player and prefer 4bet.

4betting pre is fine, just calling is ok too. 4bet could be bigger since it is AKo and we are OOP. We can fold OTF. Villain most likely has JJ+, AJs+, AKo+ and we don't have much equity vs his range.

We should 4 bet the same size no matter if we do it for value or as a bluff.

He should bet the bottom of his range (assume for the sake of discussion it is 99) because the flop hit his range very hard, OP checked, and some bluffs should be in every range. Few players will save bluffs for later streets to balance slowplays here. I count to 19 2 pair+ combos he'll bet. He should possibly check KK and a couple of TT that have straight outs. But 99 and the rest of TT should then definitely be bet.

That said, good fold.

I will use my right to disagree. TT is not betting bo matter what as it does not achieve anything.

With what do you disagree? That he should be betting most of them or that he would be betting with most of them?

Betting most TT achieves a balanced range. If he bets value only, the issue of this thread is a non-issue, and that opponent is a non-opponent.

I do not agree that he WILL BE betting TT... :)
I do not argue with your logic, but think he will not do this with this hand. This is my opinion and it may not be right.

Then we almost totally agree. I think he "might", thus I'd object to "never". But he probably doesn't do it as often as he "should". How funny:D

I'd actually advice most to go with your population read when it comes to such things rather than mine, since I don't play much these days.

Guys, who in his right mind will try to bluff us out of this flop? We hit this flop so hard... we could have 3 different sets, TPTK + GS and maybe 2 pair with AQ. I agree with nitrol... not only he doesn't bet 99-TT, he will not have that pre-flop very often.

I think on the flop we're most likely looking at AQ, JJ - QQ or AA. Pot is reasonably small, so I actually think it's a decent idea to c/f. It's a pretty crappy spot though, haha

We should also remember that most players are not doing what they SHOULD =) So maybe he is betting 99 and TT, but then again he doesn't HAVE 99 and TT all the time, because he calls more often than 3b. So maybe when he DOES have it, he MIGHT bet, but he PROBABLY won't, hehe. Just wanted to join the game with words :f_biggrin:

I don't thin 4betting small is a problem. It's actually pretty great that our opponents call with stuff like AQ, because we should never show up with AJ, so we always dominate them. And then calling with 99 and TT is pretty bad as well in my opinion, so I actually think it's pretty good that they're doing that. if they think we're bluffing pre, they should jam it in, not call. Even against our bluff hands they have shitty equity and will have a hard time playing post, even though he's IP. If we have KQ, Axs in bluff range his equity sucks. And I really doubt people are calling with the intention of bluffing us out of pots in 4bet situations. I THINK they're not doing it, but then maybe I'm getting exploited without knowing it :f_biggrin:

You are contradicting yourself a little bit. I'll also ask you as well; Do you mean that villain would never bluff or should never bluff? The issue is not at all whether he has TT in his range or not. It is whether he should bluff with the bottom of his range. It could be KK, it could be 99. It doesn't matter much. Bluff frequencies should be the same.

We have two strong ranges that both smash this board. Both players have incentive to bluff because the pot is 4-bet (worth winning) and both can represent super-strong. Now, given that the OP checked, and also given that CO has a range stronger than we have assumed so far, he should damned well bluff. The check from OP represents more weakness than super strength. It strongly suggests AK/KK given preflop play. In this case the CO should bet all of his KK as a bluff. If this is the range we assign to him, then OP should be considering folding even AJs (if he'd play it that way).

Reasoning that end up with "they never bluff here" is always faulty because opponents aren't always bad. If that would be the case, the fold is so super easy. The CO could never win any money by betting for value because he'll always be called by an even stronger range.

I agree though, that people probably don't bluff enough in these spots.
