pocket Aces on a flush-draw board

I would have x/f OTR. This board is very wet and many combos will win of yours. Very unfortunate that it happens to your Aces but to grow in this game you sometimes have to make discipline folds.

Check/Call turn and check/fold river if villain shoves.

I like the idea of xc turn and xf river. Though charging 1club hands on turn is fine if not a huge bet.

I think I would bet F bet T x/f R.

If you're not winning any big pots with aces then you've probably got something pretty wrong going on with your game.

Thank you all for the replies, it helps a lot! I think betting OTF and OTT I was trying to make the 1 club hands fold... But from all your replies it is clear to me now that the biggest mistake was betting OTR and on top off that even calling his raise...i think at that moment I was already pot committed - a huge mistake -, and I payed dearly for it :))

Allow me 1 correction. We bet to extract value from 1 club hands. We want them to pay.

if u check raise the flop you find out exactly where u stand.

You shouldn't be betting with AA to make a hand like KcQx fold on 962!

If you use tracking software, please include some stats on the villain.

Hero (UTG): 255 BB

As a beginner you can use several strategies: small stack, medium stack or big stack. In the strategy section of PokerStrategy you'll find very fine articles on these subjects.
255bb is however a whole new ballgame. It has its own knacks and loops. As a beginner you should stay clear of such a stacksize. (Leave the table and buy in on a fresh one for 100bb.)

H has opened from MP (first in a 5-handed game). This means a tight range. Villain is willing to play vs your range.

With AA -as a beginner- you'll want to get to showdown. Do you want to get all in? If so you bet big. If not your betsize has to be a bit lower. On the river you then can evaluate if you want to call Villain's raise.

Well, as a beginner, I am going through the No Limit Beginner Course by confidant91 (I am currently at Lesson 5), and I was trying to follow the rules, which are really simplified ones, for complete beginners.

So for starters I raised to 4 BB as I thought I was UTG (didn't notice that one person was sitting out so I was actually MP), and as I had a made hand (top pair or overpair) I raised 2/3 of the pot OTF, OTT, OTR. OTR though as I was facing a re-raise, I should have folded, but as I said, unfortunately I was already pot committed - will try not to make that mistake again.

I did not include the stats, because it was advised to us not to use a HUD at the very beginning, so I myself was not seeing them at the time I played the hand, therefore I thought that I shouldn't post them here as well (should have?).

The other mistake I was making, as wimNP pointed out to me, and it was said in the videos as well, that I forgot to sit out as I got to more than a 150 BB at the table.

To answer the other issue, yes, with AA I should raise for value (but on that not I should read again the article "Why we bet?"), but I think the flush draw board scared me, and I already waned him to fold - or something like that, the problem was I did not know what to do and I was lost in the hand. Actually that is why I posted this hand, to see to which extent was I playing the hand wrong and to which extent was I unlucky.
