Hey man. No time limit. Of course some regs made better profit. In such a short (time)span there will always be better regs than me, so no problem with that all! :f_drink:

It's better to take the handcount into consideration than the total period of time. An average reg plays ~30k hands in a month, so for them this would take two months instead of a year.

I actually made 60k hands in November. Can't remember the last time I've played this much.

Week 36 of Bankroll Challenge

So here's my (a bit late) update for Week 36 of Get Rich or Die Tryin' promo. We made a shot at $1/$2 and actually didn't suck this time! Bankroll is still not big enough to say that we are a $1/$2 regular, but soon enough... Soon enough! It was a pretty good week, even though I only made two sessions. I'm still grinding for my VPPs and this way just don't have enough time for livestreams in the morning. I was also hosting Sunday Million this week, went to bed at 9am that day which totally destroyed my sleeping pattern. It's Wednesday today and I still woke up at 1pm lol. Ah well...

Here are the stats and whatnot.

Week 36
Hands: 1455
Week 35 BR: $418,95
Cash game Profit: $150,70
Week 36 BR: $569,65 (+36%)

Week 37 of Bankroll Challenge

In previous week I was a bit too late for an update, so let's do it few hours earlier this time :f_p:

December is pretty crazy. I still need about 10k VPPs to put 2015 behind me, so I didn't have time to do too many 1/2 sessions. But I still managed ~1900 hands, one losing and one winning session, all together not too bad. Of course I was hoping to finish the challenge before the new year, but... I guess that won't happen. Even though I need just two (really) good sessions and we're done :f_ugly:

Week 37
Hands: 1839
Week 36 BR: $569,65
Cash game Profit: $51,67
Week 37 BR: $621,32 (+9,1%)

I'm already doing plans for 2016. Expect a rehaul of my Twitch livestream. I just need like a free weekend to put everything together :f_tongue:
I also finally booked my flights and hotel for PCA. So do expect some "bragging" pictures from the Bahamas :f_love: I won't play the Main Event, probably just some side events and of course I'll be there for all the PokerStars promo and stuff.

Week 38 of Bankroll Challenge

Hey ho, hey ho. Is it actually going to happen? Am I finishing this challenge before the end of the year? Well, if you wanna know how I do, you know where to find me :f_biggrin: I'll try to squeeze as many livestreams as possible in these last 8 days of 2015, but I'm also going to do one more with beers + Spin&Goes :f_drink:

So here are the stats from this week.

Week 38
Hands: 1035
Week 37 BR: $621,32
Cash game Profit: $166,95
Week 38 BR: $788,27 (+27%)

Week 38 graph

Overall graph

I have ~$2 more in the overall graph somehow. Not sure where I made the mistake, but doesn't really matter. I also have 8389 FPPs in the bank, but I really don't want to use them. :f_tongue: Still think this is a good candidate for the "ugliest graph ever" competition :f_biggrin:

In about 10 hours I'm starting my trip for Bahamas and in 34 hours, I should already land on Bahamian soil.
Traveling the same way as last year, three different flights: Venice (Italy) - Amsterdam (Netherlands) - Atlanta (USA) - Nassau (Bahamas).

We are going to have lots of activities prepared for everyone at the PCA (and of course for all of you at home as well). I can't wait do to the HU4ROLLZ again. Last year a lady who didn't even know the poker rules totally destroyed me and earned $100 or something like that :f_biggrin:

I'll also play in some side events and of course I hope there will be time for some swimming in ocean, pools and just enjoying in local Kalik beer :f_biggrin:

Real life continues on January 15th with regular poker grind and finally some Twitch livestreams!
Cya!

Week 40 of Bankroll Challenge

So, here's the plan for this update. Let's quickly do the formal stuff, so that we have more room for PCA report :f_cool:

Week 40
Hands: 1580
Week 39 BR: $709,15
Cash game Profit: -$55,89
Week 40 BR: $653,26 (-7,9%)

Week 40 graph

I've also played in TCOOP-39 FL Hold'em [6-Max, Turbo] event. I finished in 40th place, which is a fine result, but of course there was a chance for something more as well. I'm pretty sure I was one of the best players left in the tourney at that point, but this being a Limit event and a Turbo too, that doesn't matter that much. Chip leaders had less than 12BB stacks at various points of the event :f_biggrin: It was fun anyway, also did a livestream.

Here's the last hand:

And here's my livestreaming plan for the next two weeks:

And now it's time for Bahamas report :f_cool:

Starting my trip at midnight, all together 26 hour trip to Bahamas.

Breakfast on the plan (before that got a snack too).

Murica plane, was flying with Delta Airlines.

Movies, TV series, music, games. So much choice I didn't know what to choose.

Pretzels.

Lunch. Chicken curry.

Snack.

Warm snack and ice cream.

Crushing high-stakes cash games on the plane :f_cool:

Landed on Bahamas and of course I had to make this photo with one of their biggest monuments.

Limousine ride for all Supernovas.

The most common shot.

And another one.

River that runs through Atlantis.

Poker room. Not the best picture tho, the venue looks much bigger IRL.

Small carneval or something.

Breakfast by the pool, every day.

Perfect (and empty) beaches.

There was a feet of snow fall back home, so I made snowman as well.

Being Instagram husband.

Bahama Mama and Kalik.

Hu4Rollz.

Creations by hotel maid.

"Oh, Sugar!" store. Visited two times :f_p:

Royal Towers Atlantis.

One of these should be from Dan Bilzerian. He was at the PCA btw :f_grin:

Random fishes.

Ben&Jerry's!

PSA.

Columbus discovering New World in 1492.

Taxi ride to Nassau airport.

I was flying with Dutch KLM back home. Really really good airline, which takes care of really well. Also pretty big plane (Boeing 777), there were 10 seats in each row. But the plane wasn't even half booked, so you could actually lie down over the 4 seats if you wanted. Of course I rather watched movies :f_tongue:

Snack.

Appetizer, salad, main course and dessert.

Breakfast.

Snack.

Home :f_frown:

Some random stuff...
Of course I had to buy this beef jerky. Jack Link's was WSOP sponsor for several years :f_grin:

Definitely. Last year it was really hot ~30°C, this year only ~25°C and it was perfect :f_cool: Better than a feet of snow in my homecountry anyway :f_biggrin:

I haven't read PStrategy articles for many many years now, so it's hard for me to comment on that, but I think they are still a good starting point. After that, you just have to take some initiative and start improving your game by yourself. Posting hands on forums and discussing is always a good idea, constructing ranges in EquiLab, going through other ppl's hands, etc.

Week 41 of Bankroll Challenge

I had such a glorious plan to stream whole week and then I caught a flu on Sunday/Monday and did only one livestream and lie in bed for the rest of the week. Still not 100%, but getting there.

So only one livestream, only one session, but it was a glorious one. (btw if you haven't noticed, glorious is apparently my word of the week :f_tongue:)
So as you will see, I am actually at the highest point of my bankroll challenge so far. I mean, we were here like 50 days ago, true, but never at 790$. I also have more than 10000 StarCoins in reserve, but I really REALLY don't want to use them anymore. Enough rakeback is enough. I want to complete this challenge with profit from cash games only. But I do think people should count their rakeback in their bankrolls generally, specially Limit Hold'em players.

My next livestream will be tomorrow at 10AM CET, will post the rest of the schedule some other day. Or you can just find it on my Twitch page as well.

Better than a feet of snow in my homecountry anyway

Hmm... I thought you were an Alpine guy, who likes winter ( cold weather, snow, skiing and stuff, etc...) more than summer.

~25°C and pristine beaches of Bahamas > winter >>> ~30°C and pristine beaches of Bahama

Interesting to see how 5°C makes a difference. I guess it goes somthing like +25>-5>+30>-10...

I actually prefer -10 than +30 :f_grin: I had an argument with my GF exactly about this. Two weeks ago, it was kind of a cold day here (about -7°C), but it was really sunny and beautiful. We were walking and she was freezing and whining the whole way and I was doing just fine. I said that I prefer a day like this than a really hot one. My argument was... If its cold, you can just layer some clothes on and you're done. But if its really hot... Well you can't really go beyond being naked and even then... You are still sweating :f_tongue:

She said I wasn't right, so ofc I lost an argument. But I do have two pictures from that day :f_ugly:

Lake Bled, castle Bled and a swan

Lol. I think it's a matter of personal preference. It's true that you can dress up as a protection against the cold, but thermal conditioning is still cumbersome this way. If you start some physical activity (like running of intense walking) you start producing heat and that doesn't escape your body that easily and you star sweating, which also stays in your clothes. And due to this if you stop with the activity you start freezing. So that thermal condiciton which you achieve by clothing is really unstable and hard to maintain.
I experience this in every winter, because I usually go to the convenience store by bike and its really hard to accomodate to the changes when the weather is cold. First you dress up,hop up the bike, and its fine until you don't stop. Now when you enter the store you have to undress as much as possible, otherwise you sweat like a pig. If manage to sweat only a little bit and you are lucky and there is no wind out there, you can have a safe ride home. But if the weather is windy then it's a nightmare. In a strong wind with a wet body you can feel -10°C less than it actually is.

The other problem is that the clothes make me feel less comfortable while moving, especially when I have a lot of layers on. Under 0°C I usually have 2 T-shirts, a scarf, a ski-mask, boots + a beenie on, my entire weighs like 2-3 kg-s, and I feel like an astronaut or a deep diver. Not a good feeling.

All these don't happen when its around 26-30°C. I have almost no clothes on, and if I'm sweating and moving it helps me cooling down. Becasue of these preferences of mine the best weather for me is around 28-30°C with a decent wind.
Tho summer is not my favouite season. Plus I can adapt to the winter after the period of time. I guess my nordic genes kick in, my thermoception changes, and get used to the cold

Well... When you put it like that... :f_biggrin:
But yeah, obv it's a matter of personal preference. It also helps that I work from home and don't bike to work/shops/etc :f_p: I dress almost always the same, even if it's +15 or -10. The only question there is, if I should put a coat on or not. Not sure when I do that. Probably at around +5. But you can always leave that in A CAR when you go shopping :f_p:

Week 42 of Bankroll Challeng

And now back to the bankroll challenge...

WHEN IS THIS GOING TO END!? :f_biggrin:
Fortunately I did a livestream of all my three sessions, so people could see what happened and I feel a bit better knowing, that I didn't play like shit, but just run like it :f_biggrin: So now I'm back at 0,5/1, feel's like a square one, but this is how it goes when you're using an aggressive bankroll management.

Day 92 was my worst session so far, being down $179... Until Day 94 arrived whit an even worse result of -$196. When you play 3000 hands and have 40% WTS but only win 44% of those, you can't really expect a profit to be made. But I actually don't mind, at least I have something to play on Twitch. Speaking of that... Continuing tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10:00 CET.

Week 42
Hands: 2946
Week 41 BR: $790,65
Cash game Profit: -$378,99
Week 42 BR: $411,66 (-48%)

I wonder if you could calculate the difference between your BRM and the classical taking your hand history into consideration. :f_rolleyes:

Yeah, I was also wondering that myself. Specially considering that I know how horrible it looks $$ wise, but I actually only lost around 200BB at 1/2 (in what, 15k hands?) and am up 1000BB on other limits :f_grin:

Just posting my Twitch schedule for next week. On Sunday starting at 20:00 I will finally do a much anticipated Beers+Spin&Go session! As usuall should be pretty fun stream. So far I have quite a good record with Spins while drinking beers, so let's hope that trend continues :f_biggrin: Probably should do a plan how I'm gonna tackle them, what buyins to choose, etc... Anyone have any good tip about that? Maybe some progressive buy-in plan or something like that? And I still have 12 tickets to use (11x $0,50 and 1x Free one for that sports car). I'm sure we'll figure it out :f_cool:

So here's my plan for this and following week.

Losing against quads is painful. What about losing against quads three times in one session!? :f_biggrin:

(btw, I lost to quads twice yesterday too)

Week 43 of Bankroll Challenge

I was throwing some numbers out the other day, saying that I'm down 200BB at 1/2 and what not. Well, now I actually had a closer look in HM and you know what... At $1/2$ I'm down exactly 150... dollars :) so 75BB. Way less than what I was thinking before. And I'm up 800BB at limits from 5c/10c to 0,50$/1$. So at the end it doesn't look that grim, specially considering that I got +700$ from tournaments, rakeback, promos, etc... (not counting everything towards the challenge).

Week 43
Hands: 2588
Week 42 BR: $411,66
Cash game Profit: $51,33
Week 43 BR: $462,99 (+12%)

Week 43 graph

(graph is actually missing 8 hands, even though HM stats are correct)
