OTT I would say. You get more value by then if we want to break down all his hands. Many low pocket pairs and 10-Xs will fold from the turn on or will play very defensively. You can then either choose for a cheap showdown or get more value.

Personally, I would have raised on the flop. You need to protect you JJ. It's very likely that he could have an Ace, King, or a Queen in his hand and if one of those comes on the turn, you're done. JJ are vulnerable and if you're lucky enough to see a flop with no Ace, King, or Queen, you should play them aggressively. Because, again, there are too many scare cards that could come on the turn.

Even if villain has 2 Broadways, he has just 6 outs vs you.
I do not mind calling tjose halfpot bets.

Right. Don't turn bluff catchers into bluffs. This "protection-information" type of rationale for raising with bluff catchers is (now I am blunt, apologies) is worse than bad. If villain is drawing to a pair he has already paid for it. Making him pay more is, apart from being exceedingly greedy, risky because he might have a value range as well (not unheard of).

Thanks guys. Villain had 5h 6d. That's why I thought I should've raised before the river. Maybe my review was too result-oriented and thought I had misplayed.

I kind of adapted my thinking now as well. Perhaps let him value bet since your raise will most probably only get called by a better hand. If you were IP, then I also might have gone for thin value since most hands you beat and you want to have him call your bet with the understanding that when raised, he has the goods.
