Because there is already a lot of discussion in this thread I have removed the newest thread and moved this 1 to the tournament discussion board.

First of all, if I got it right, you got 6200 stack with blinds 400/800. Thats 8bb's, so with when button limp to you, you should be allways shoving this, with KJ its an easy shove. There is to much in the pot allready and you are way to short to play postflop.
Given that you played a hand a little bit different that you should, lets review. On the flop I like the check. If you bet, you are folding allmost all the hands, you don't want that, you wont someone to catch something on the turn so you can get value from their worse hands, or bet as a bluff. On the turn you bet 2600 into 3075 pot which is a to big bet. Aldo, they are probablly not folding an ace (some players do), you should bet smaller to allow them to call with some draws or small pairs. Bet around 1400-1700 would be ok. When Ace hit on the river, you must check. Its a worst card in the deck for you, but it happend sometimes. You should check, and than call or fold to their bet, depending on your read. They should have an ace decent per cent of the time here, so when you shove, you allow them to play perfect agains you, which is the last thing you want to do in no-limit holdem.
No you didn't play bad because you wanted to trap. Its a only way to play it. But you must correct other things in your game, and think and re-evaluate on every street, flop, turn and river.
Wish you all the luck.
Quote of h34dhunt3r in new thread I removed and I would stack off pre-flop as well.
