SB: 225.7 BB
Hero (BB): 256.7 BB
UTG: 256.3 BB
MP: 208.7 BB
CO: 141.7 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.7 BB) Hero has A♣ Q♣

fold, MP raises to 3.4 BB, CO calls 3.4 BB, BTN calls 3.4 BB, SB calls 2.9 BB, Hero raises to 20 BB, fold, fold, BTN calls 16.6 BB, fold

Flop: (51.4 BB, 2 players) 6♣ 7♥ 9♣
Hero checks, BTN bets 36.8 BB, Hero calls 36.8 BB

Turn: (125 BB, 2 players) A♥
Hero checks, BTN bets 89.5 BB, Hero calls 89.5 BB

River: (304 BB, 2 players) T♠
Hero checks, BTN bets 108.8 BB and is all-in, fold

BTN wins 290.3 BB

35/22 37h

Flop did not cbet because not many hands fill fold which are better than my. No problem to keep KQ, QJ.

Turn - top pair does not look in good spot, but with flushdraw I cannot fold I think.

I guess the fold on river is ok. Was a crying fold , but do not see him bluffing 1/3 pot, and 250 bb for just top pair is too much.

But I am not sure what hands he can bet. If he had set, it makes sense that he bets flop and turn. but on river it looks like 8x - but what 8x could play that way?

Might be a set, TT, JJ? River is close because villain bets only 1/3pot but I think we can fold?

Pre: When its multiway deep we should be trying to overflush somebody with our AXs, so I prefer calling. Sqeezing is ok too if opponents tend to fold alot to CBets or are passive when checked to.
Flop: You are right, cbetting doesnt accomplish much, but c/r and stackoff is better than check-calling a draw this strong HU.
Turn: Just shove, its not always a set or 2 pair, sometimes its 88, TT, pair+straight draw or a weaker FD. You will be getting sometimes called by worse FOR SURE!

When you played this way the river is easy. You most likely avoided getting stacked, but IMO you missed on some ev on flop and/or turn :f_thumbsup:

When deep stack villains will call your squeeze much.
The problem with this hand that we've build a nicepot, and cannot collect it.
On turn you can think of shoving.

did you make mistake by saying JJ? I do not see him betting even turn with JJ

You are right, cbetting doesnt accomplish much, but c/r and stackoff is better than check-calling a draw this strong HU.

why do you think stack off is good? We are isolating ourselves vs the nuts and our equuity is then low. I am not calculating how much we are investing, I just put him on range which he gets in:

MP2 26.98% 26.07% 0.91% AcQc
MP3 73.02% 72.11% 0.91% 99, 77-66, 76s

if he even has 76s, but that does not change equity much if I remove it.

I will have some fold equity, but still it looks like overplay, because I have a lot in the stack left after he bets. I would like stacking of with 100 bb more.

You are not saying that I insta shove vs his bet I assume. If I insta shove then yea, I have lot of fold equity. But if I raise like 3x, then he reraises only with the nuts.

Turn: Just shove, its not always a set or 2 pair, sometimes its 88, TT, pair+straight draw or a weaker FD. You will be getting sometimes called by worse FOR SURE!

I am afraid that I will not get called by worse very often. I am even thinking that I often am already beat and I just call because I have FD + pair. He should be weak player to call light. But we do not know how strong or weak he is, we have little sample.

Well, you want to keep his range wide when you actually have showdown value. But A high on that board aint much of a showdown hand. By c/r you sometimes make him fold his ~40-60% equity hands and also sometimes stack his combo draws like KT of clubs etc, where you crush him. You forgot to add that up to the equity calculation, because he obviously has some FDs himself that he will be willing to put his money in with. Also, pair+straight draw would at least call, when there are a shit ton of scare cards OTT. Stackoff equity would be alot more than 26% in this spot, and with FEq + turnFEq I believe c/r is best. :f_thumbsup:

If you choose to play a hand aggressively preflop, you should step on it post. Otherwise, if you want to get your pot and implied odds, dont build such a flop preflop.

What were you going to do if the river bricked (like a 2) or you hit your flush (would you donk it)?

Just my 2 cents, you obviously most likely lost 108bb less than I would have. I like keeping it simple and not put myself in such situations. Go buy yourself a beer with that $10.80!
Cheers :f_drink:

if river is 2 and if he bets , I still think I am folding because he never bets for value weaker hand and never bluffs with 1/3 esp at micros.

If I hit flush - thats a good question. I always do not know what to do OOP. When I bet, they always fold, unless I bet really small. But if I check, again its micros and 1/3 bet - I cannot expect bluffs. So not getting value. So I am getting value from weaker flush which he can bet. But weaker flush should not fold to donk bet, so I think donking is better. WHewn I donk, I also can make him hard time with weaker hands than flush draw and maybe he will decide to call them.

Overall I like more flatting preflop then and keeping pot small instead of those your sugeested check raises. Maybe they are good, but would like to see more theory on that from good sources.

And its hard to just flat AQs preflop, feels like giving avay eqiuty cheaply.
