Hi! I've decided to give a try to NL cash and at first it was a bit rough. Luckily I've found this series, and here are what first two sessions after watching it looked like for me:

Spoiler

and then today's

Obviously first one is not as clean and it also ended in "unexpected manner", and I'm not saying that it is my winrate.

But. I certainly started exploiting the field way harder and so far don't get thin value betted successfully nearly as much.

I feel like my game is turned on its' head and now it would be hard for me to not climb upstakes, as long as I just keep playing.

So, I really didn't expect to find concise guide, which would give a good understanding of micro limits, as opposed to some ideas scattered apart from each other. And yet I found it, thanks to author of the series, the magnificient w34z3l. Big thanks mate, I'll remember it!

Hi, qnb07,
I'm going to guess that you're missing something.

In the first post, in the first spoiler, the first range is:
UTG 55+, ATs+, KTs+, QTs+, J9s+, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, 65s, AJo+, KQo

Try this:
:diamond:  Open Equilab -- I'm using version 1.2.8.0 in case it makes a difference.
:diamond:  In the first line "UTG" copy the bold part above and paste it into the box.
:diamond:  click the first button to the right of UTG (or any other line). The "Hand range selection" dialogue should open, with your range highlighted
:diamond:  In the right hand "Predefined hand ranges" window, click the + sign beside "user-defined ranges"
:diamond:  Below that, click the "Save" button -- a "Save selected hand range" dialogue should open, and you can give it a name -- call it "UTG RFI" for now. It should now appear in the list on the right
:diamond:  You can create folders to organise your saved ranges (highly recommended!) and you can also rename and delete them.

Go nuts!
If you have already made some saved ranges and want to save them in case you muck things up, the user-defined ranges are kept in a file called "PreflopUserdefined.ini" in your local appdata folder.
The easiest way to get there is to type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Equilab in the address bar of any Explorer (not Internet Explorer) window.

If any part of that does not work, let me know.

Best of luck,
VS

He weazel,

Any tips on how to make on 'playstyle' reads on villains? Cuz sometimes u have regs with similar HUDstats, but they play their ranges completely different.

For those situations, nothing beats notes!

Cheers for the help.

Followed your instructions for open office and "unprotected" all the cells as well. It appears this document just straight up doesnt work in open office.

Sigh

Thanks for that file, I indeed downloaded it as well. However, I was actually mentioning that I am a bit lost with the videos?( I really don't know where to start because he also has videos from different games on the link he posts at the beginning.

Hey, does it have any use to give here an extensive math calculation (which is not entirely right) about my Risk of Ruin? I am looking someone who is good at math

Hi, Hesticus,
I would be interested in your calculation -- not that I'm particularly good at math, but I'm interested _grin:

Perhaps the best thing would be to start a thread called "Risk of ruin calculation" or similar.
