He Spidersense, how is it going? Is your Graphics card still broken? I was looking for an update in the BR challenge, because you haven't reported any absence or progress this month....
Let us know,SvenBE

I got the new graphics card today. Unfortunately i lost my BR at pokerstars. Zoom is just not my game and i also tilted. I have 5$ at partypoker and tomorrow i will put 10 euros at everest poker, i want to try the tournaments there. So please if you can reset my challenge i want to start over. The last weeks i hardly played any poker but now i have the time to play again. Sorry for not reporting, stopping poker or taking a long break crossed my mind (That is why zoom is not my game i can't handle the badbeats that are more frequent) but this is not happening.
Hello. Well im rusty. I haven't played poker for a while and i do stupid things. I was planning on playing small tournaments at everest poker. I played some and i played good but my late game sucks lately. I played some twister games also because i wanted to play at 15000$ carnival freeroll. Well i was lucky at one game to have with 1$ 50$ prizepool. I was heads up and then i lost my connection. From 800 chips i drop to 500 when i reconnected and of course i tilted after that i went all in with KQ he had AJ i lost. And then i spent almost all my bankroll at a multy-entry tournament without cashing. So really bad start but it's ok make i will make some money back from the easy freerolls or i will deposit again np.
Games: 6 tournaments+11 twister
Bankroll: $0.68
Losses: $9.32
Well this week was bad at first! I lost my roll and my points at everest poker. I played many freerolls at 888, pokerstars, and everest. I managed to make 1-3 dollars but i lost them. At 888 i won 55cents and i lost them, at everest i just lost everything, at pokerstars i won only 3 dollars at that big 100k tournament with 50points buy in i went all in QQ the other one hited with JJ the third Jack at the turn. I played spin n gos with the 3 dollars and i won a seat to the silver 10k shootout i wanted to go for the gold prize i needed to win 10 spinngos i managed to win 8 before i lost the $. I now have 55cents of Tournament $. Powerfest started and it's on at partypoker. They give big tickets like candy it's unbelieveble. Fisrt day i go an 11$ ticket played a husng and lost it. Yesterday i got an 5.5$ ticket i played a husng and i won. Then i played a satelite to win a ticket for an 11$ tournament with 50k Gtd. I spent 3 $ but i have qualified but then i got unlucky somewhere before the bubble Ace on the flop i went all in with AK he had AJ and he hitted the jack on the river. Today i got a 22$ ticket and i won a husng so now i have 41+8 from before 48.90$$. I look forward to try and play in the big events like 500k gtd. It's crazy, partypoker proves that is the best site at least for me because it gives the chance to microplayers like me to go big.
Time for my report! Well this week at first i lost the 40$ i had at party poker. I played at a 22$ tournament i was doing ok but then i got bad beated. After that i played 5.5$ husngs and i lost them. I was unlucky in general because the i got 2-3 times reload bonus instead of a ticket, 2times i lost the ticket at husngs but luckily the last day i won with a 22$ ticket a husng and now i got 37$ at partypoker. I played some freerolls at many sites and i have a dollar in 888. Today at everest poker i played in the 1k series tournament because i had a ticket for some reason and i finished 4th!
I won a 50$ ticket i played a husng after that and now from 8cents i have 95.08 $$. Nice...
Other than that i discovered a site it's called bitpoker i think. It's a nice site good freerolls but you deposit and withdraw bitcoins, it sounds interesting but who has time fo dat. I am too lazy to learn to use bitcoins so i uninstalled it. I found also a very good youtube chanel it's called pokerbank and i watch a video or two sometimes. I don't have so much time but i still play as much i can.
So this week i played 54 tournaments, husngs and freerolls.
Partypoker BR: $37
Everest BR: $95
TOTBR: $132
I stopped the bankroll challenge because i was bored to report every week and because i don't want to focus so much on the results. So i withdrawn 80 euros from everest poker and then i lost the party bankroll and the remaining 15 at everest. I deposited 10 today at everest and gave a shot at 6plus tables. I never really played cash games but it seems i'm doing good. The 10 became 20 after 90 minutes and i'll continue to play some 6+. The only time i really played cash games was at poker mira with a free 5$ bankroll. I managed before 1 year to make these 5$ into 350$ in 4 dayz! I was catching every single draw for some reason. The thing is couldn't withdraw to a bank and i should make a skrill account or something. But that was boring so i burnt my bankroll instead
Just an embarising poker story of the past.
I just finished 4th in a 5k freeroll at 888. I won 185$. I withdrawn 100$ and left 85$ to play tournaments. It's not that is a lot of money but it's a good feeling to beat 9500 people (I know it's super turbo there is the big luck factor but still)
Hi spidersense,
Congratulations on on your free roll win ![]()
You can always re-enter the bankroll challenge at any time by opt-in.
I have filtered some =en&status[]=5&status[]=10&submit=Search"]videos for HUSNG you may find interesting in the mean time.
Well done again in your win and I look forward to reading future posts.
Regards
Matt
Thank you Matt. The videos look interesting. I tried many times lately to play hu cash at partypoker and everest with really bad results. It's not that i'm bad it's that i win and then i stop playing good and i lose what i won plus what i had at stupid mistakes. It's like who is most patient so i want to improve at hu cash in the near future. Also i reached silver status at everest and i got many freeroll tickets which i know i can put to good use.. I don't want to start the challenge again unless i make first a poker plan in my head because i'm all over the place lately. I win some money and sometimes i lose them like it's wood on the fire so i need to control this type of tilt. Also i don't really study the game which i should. So i must decide first what to play, when to play and how much to play and what to study and how much every day etc. I must become organized if i'm going to crush that game one day.
Good luck Matt,
may the Nuts be with you.
Another big win today! I finished first at a 1500$ gtd rebuy tournament on 888! I won 307$. I did something stupid though. When we were heads up i made a deal because i had less than a half of the chips than opponent. 1rst was getting 375 and second 275 so i made a deal at 307 to secure 30$ more. I ended up winning the hu but still it's a big win for me. It's actually the second time i finish 1st. The first time was on a 20cents tournament on ipoker winning 7$ ![]()
The feeling is great i'm hooked. Today when i woke up i did a workout (something that i have months to do) and i had a good mood through the day. When i started the tournament i had a smooth hip hop playlist playing and i was reading german. Reading while playing helped me avoiding stupid mistakes so now i know my routine. Workout, music and reading while playing. ♠_drink:
Other than that i played 76 husngs at 888 the last days winning 36 games and losing 35. So i can't beat it yet and i lose from the rake but it doesn't matter because is a nice practice. I noticed that when i play a lot of hu i play better at tournaments for example i 'm more comfortable 3betting at the right spots and making better decisions in general. Maybe i'll play 10 40cent husngs per day just for practice. I left only 40$ in my account to cope with the burn my money tilt issue i got but i thing i can handle it now. In real life i singed a contract at a company so now i can continue my school as mechanic of metal (Feinwerkmechaniker). So everything goes smooth the last weeks.
Another win yesterday. I won 300$ on top of the other money at push or fold cash tables. I gave it a try with 10$ i went up to 110$ then i lost them. I lost another 4 buy ins (it was kind of tilty) before i played with 20$ buy in. I made these 20$ into 100$ and we were 3 people at the table. One sat out and i was hu with another one with 400$... Little did he know i kicked his ass and i went up to 380$ the i won some more from the other one. So 300$ plus yesterday ![]()

i got most of the money out because they are not safe yet with my tilt bursts
I worked out before 2 days and yesterday jumping rope 10 sets of 100 and both times i ended up winning 300$. Just a coincidence? I don't think so it's almost scary what aerobic exercise does to my mood my brain and my game
Ok guys time to get serious again... I deposited 11$ at pokerstars yesterday and i started playing zoom 6max 2NL. It seems that i only play very good when i play 4 tables zoom (because i'm an action junkie).. This time i'll do it right: i will follow la55i's advice and i will climb at the next lvl when i have 30 BI 5 of them for shots. My only problem so far is that i tilt when i suddenly win a good amount of money (in terms of my usual bankroll). This time i will stick to my plan playing only zoom NL 2 until i reach 150$. I will also play an occasional small tournament and the freerolls every saturday (currently silver VIP). I would like to start the bankroll challenge but on the other hand i'm too bored to post the progress and how much i played. Also i don't need at this moment the gold upgrade as there is a ton of free stuff and also a bunch of books that w8 for me to read them. But i will share here my progress posting a photo of my BR every time i climb the stakes.
Hi spidersense,
Glad to read your getting serious again. It looks like you are having a good amount of success
I don't want to start the challenge again unless i make first a poker plan in my head because i'm all over the place lately.
Have you got in your poker books collection a copy ofThe Mental Game of Poker: Proven Strategies for Improving Tilt Control, Confidence, Motivation, Coping With Variance, and More
I also have found that a Poker psychology series by Schnitzelfisch helped me with tilt issues and is worth having a look at.
Also worth looking at is:
Perfect intro to multi tabling.
5-point plan: From break-even grinder to winning player
If you do re join the Bankroll challenge it will help you with motivation.
I look forward to reading how you get on in the coming months.
My regards
Matt
Thanks a lot Matt, i appreciate it. Good recommendations (wow i should really browse around more i didn't know about all these psychology videos)! Atm i'm reading the mental game of poker for the second time-great book. As for success not really i screw up. Two days ago from 60c i went up to 50$ at 888 and then i lost them... This month i have a lot of free time so i'll put in the effort.
Good luck at the tables
I started reading sklanskys theory of poker. Thats a great book it already changed the way i think before i play with only reading 1/3 of it. I finished 2nd at freeroll on pkr. Then played a super turbo finished 4th then i lost some money at cash games and now i'm winning some $$ on cash games. I have about 10$ at pkr now but it is really easy espacialy the tourneys. And unfortunately is the only site that is tracked with pokerstrategy. I have a lot of free time for 2 weeks so i'll play and read a lot.
I started playing seriously for the first time cash gamezz. At pkr.. I lost the previous 10$ because i was playing in NL10 and i was doing fine but one moment of fatigue can destroy everything. I won 1 $ today again in a freeroll and i made it 6 $. So from tomorrow i'll play nl2 like today without playing bigger stakes without the bankroll. For the first time i'm not bored to play cash games because it's so f*cking easy i mean they are 80% fishes at microgaming at least at nl2.
Also i read everyday and i'm getting better and i'm collecting some points to become silver at pokerstrategy.
Plus my game is now 40% better because i'm sitting on a comfortable armchair when i play
Ok so i want to start playing zoom seriously. Problem is i don't have a bankroll or Pokertracker 4. I found a very good book to study about zoom and cash games in general. I will freeroll my way to pokertracker and at least 40$ at pokerstars to start playing NL2. I had a few $ on pokerstars (now i don't) but i found out that i play 2 zoom tables better than 4 or 1 without spewing. When i have those 2 things i will take it seriously and work my way up. I read a lot lately and i learnt some theory and also fixed some leaks and found some ranges for zoom. I also realized that poker needs a lot of work and determination and mental control if you really want to become good!
