I hate AK hands, but seriously this guy.....

Just wanted to add, I should have folded early instead of being bad

Playing better, still making some stupid moves & should be a lot more up. First session I was at $14+ but just, well, played stupid & ignored outs - gambled.

Session 1#

Session 2#
Did start off the same, but pulled my head in to continue solid.

Have a couple of nice hits

#1 - From session one, a bad beat here.... had notes on this player for this exact moment. Its too bad that he hit against me as well..

#2 - This time, I got the pay day. This is the nice hand that boosted me for the session, but I than threw it away All of their hands I had a read, I did not believe there was a set of A, surely they would have 4b with them multi pre flop. I had players on the following: 66, Ax & Any flush draw. I did not expect the OE straight flush. Still I held

#3 - Quads into a flush is payday for session 2

#4- This one I was pretty aggressive. I did not expect so many calls on 3b. On the flop I am expecting a lot of flush draws & overcards, I was really aggressive to push out the rags as I believe my 99 is still good. Again I would have expected more aggression with top pairs in multi pot before flop. The turn bet was way to large, put me in an awkward position as JQ would be the nuts, could have checked it?

Yeah okay than.......

No spew just walls...... can always play better but all of this happened within like 5 minutes....

Okay,

#1 - Should have fold shove, e may be wide but should put opponent on a pair of some sort
#2 - Played correct, just didn't hold
#3 - 50/50, I could have folded with view of set. But I have had the same aggression with flush draws & Ax
#4 - fold turn, heavy chance of set or overpair - maybe even a straight
#5 - Wouldn't change play, have been paid off plenty with set v Jx Qx - do not see this happening much

Just as I hit the sit out at BB to leave when I am up quiet a bit I get this hand...

I should have x/f on the turn & river if it came to that. I knew he wouldn't have two suited due to the 4b, but after that 4th suited card, I should have x/fold. I don't think smaller bet/f may be a better line? Tricky, safe to just x/f I think, 4 suited just makes it too risky. I just went back to my default mode which is aggression, a bit blind you see...

All good though, layed down plenty more which were correct. Played well.

After large turn raise I have him on 54s or 55/44, would be sick if it is 1010. Either way a better hand or a big bluff, not worth it with top pair.

Unfortunate no equity, calculated 20% yet was a 30% or so call.

Above two hands help show that I am learning & utilising what I now know instead of being so reckless.

Bleh, hard session. I should have just layed down the last hand. I swear AK is the worst bloody hand to get, I lose so much on it. Think I need to reduce my view of its value, bet hard pre & cb flop, if no hit just x/f, bleh

Wish I kept to the lay downs for that last hand which took all my earnings. Was up almost 2 buy ins That was even being card dead & hitting walls

Hmm these blow outs at the end of my session seem to be a habit. It comes near the end & I want to leave but sit around for a little & spew. Need to keep that focus.

Session got shut down early with server. I guess I will watch the EPAT for a while before bed.

Going to set a goal here, I want to get gold status through grind this month. This will allow me to open some new study material

Today's session:

Not much in way of hands today. Had an early hand that I should have fold the river, just couldn't let it go again. Same old same old. Don't even think a bigger bet on turn would have made him fold, though I should have bet larger.

Do I have the odds/equity? I got it, will need to check.

First hand the river is nasty that he over shoved. It’s not to likely he hit backdoor :club:, but I don’t think you can call with 2 pair here. I expect he will do it to many times with better to make a call profitable.

Second hand you have 9 outs for a flush and 3 extra outs for a straight, but if the 9♣: comes you still have a decent change your beaten by a FH or you already facing A6 or 66 that he played funky post flop. I expect you have 11 clean outs if your still drawing life. What happened pretty often. So you have 11 of 46 cards that will help you to win the hand and you have 23,9% equity based on that. He bets 53c in a total pot after your calling of $1,77. So you need to win 29,94% of the time to make the call profitable on turn.

So a fold would be better on the turn.
Further I recommend to post also on regularly bases on our Hand discussions for No Limit board. Than you get most likely even better feedback on the hands your posting there.

Now I have been quiet lately. Work has really picked up with some opportunity so I have been away working hard
At the time that meant I could not get any poker in without proper access to my PC. I have now fixed that & invested in a laptop for myself. I can no get on while I am travelling & keep up with my goals

So we now have this mornings session, only 1 hand which I did overplay. KK where I 3b pre for the board to come out AQ9r, had check to myself in 3 way & took a stab at it. It was a large pot being a 3way 3b & one opponent had A10o to than also hit 10 on the turn & some random card on the river. I should have just fold as I thought one of them should have an A to call 3b.

Still, it was a profitable session. Not long now until I can make a stab at NL10

This one, I should have folded. From how he bet I knew he was chasing, but I was expecting over's/flush draw. I didn't really have him placed on a top end straight, though it was possible. There were so many other better hands than mine out there, but with the size I put it as a push off on river, I should have fold. Even so, I did not expect what he actually had.

Here we go, clearing out some cobwebs & hitting those key hands.

The large dip at the start had me worried again, I was KK v AA. But stuck to it & came on top, hit 500 hands, so all good. I only had one over committed bluff, it was a large throw away of coin. Other than that, took my time, made the decisions & kept it pretty clean.

I read this one well, when I made that call I put my opponent on the two pair J10. The check call & than suddenly massive bet on the turn hitting that 10. I doubted they had 1010 due to the call on the flop with an over & no other real hand to play with.

With this hand, is this a good line? I put my opponent on a chase for straight due to the check/call positions. But there is a very high chance he is calling down for that flush. I was taking the fact I had initiative & position to assist in my decision of my hand placement v opponent.

Pretty flat session, loss is predominately one hand. Which I should have let go on the river, but flopping nut straight & still having the best until the river & almost my stack gone... idk

Otherwise tonight was more I would not hit the marginals, everyone would fold on my big hands &/or I would have a decent hand but opponent had slightly better. Mostly an exercise of control tonight.
