Get Rich or Die Tryin'
The Bankroll Challenge
Hi guys ![]()
I havnt been too active on my blog nor the forum for some time now. Finishing my final college exams and starting new studies have taken a lot of my time, but hopefully I will get back into poker and Pokerstrategy again now where I start to get more spare time again.
Therefore, I thought it would be a great time to also join the "Get Rich or Die Tryin' Bankroll Challenge" - finally. Both to keep my blog active and to crush you guys in the challenge ♠_cool:
Right now my financial goal for 2016 is set to a $10.000 bankroll. On top of this, I will add an extra bankroll challenge on reaching $20.000, in order to be able to join the "Get Rich or Die Tryin' Bankroll Challenge".
Bankroll: $3.800
Get Rich or Die Tryin' Bankroll Challenge goal: $20.000
Short recap of the first three quarters of my poker adventure in 2016
Started with my bankroll on $1150, and quickly crushed my initial goal at doubling my bankroll to $2300 after getting a few big scores, including my double deep run in the $5.50 Bounty Builder Saturday Special first winning the tournament and three weeks later getting a second place in the exact same tour ♠_drink:
After getting my bankroll up to $3500 I have basically been break even for the last 5 months, with a lot of deep runs that ended right before the payouts that would have impacted my balance a lot.
Here is my graph from 2016 (big blinds won in MTTs):
Spoiler

I decided to get a little nerdy and make a visual of my achievements in poker so far - most of them being from 2016
Entries is the average entries in the tournaments, results in dollars are the combined winning from the tournaments

Good luck with your bankroll challenge mate! You got Skype? Always love to rail deepruns

Thank you very much sir
I have added you, even though I probably wont be contributing to your deeprun fetish
But do you even have time to rail people when you play FTs everyday yourself?

Thank you sir. Couldn't have done it without my rail of PokerStrategy mods. Owe you all a beer for breaking my bad recent bad runs ![]()

I have been losing my motivation for playing poker the last few months, mostly because I have been running extremely bad. But this weekend I finally got a few deep runs going. After almost falling asleep at the finale table of The Big $7.50, I somehow managed to ship it. I tried to make a deal 3-handed, but when the host didn't show up after 15 minutes of waiting, I got impatient and cancelled the deal talking. Ended up winning the tournament and probably saved myself around 400 bucks for being impatient and not making the deal
Tired as
at 10 AM in the morning with no sleep but atleast $1.530,00 richer.

Apparently I was so tired that I forgot common sense, so instead of going to bed I registered for 3 more slow MTTs. 6 hours after winning The Big $7.50, I found myself as the runnerup in The Big $11, cashing $1.285,00 more.
The Big $7.50 and The Big $11
Spoiler

It was by far my longest poker session so far - 26 hours straight. Atleast I slept like a baby last night.
Biggest mistakes of the weekend:
- Not taking the deal 3-handed against two really good players with awkward stack sizes
- Not going to bed at 10 AM
Most profitable moments of the weekend:
- Not taking the deal 3-handed against two really good players with awkward stack sizes +$400
- Not going to bed at 10 AM +$1.275
Week 4 of the Bankroll Challenge
MTT hands: 4.275
Cash hands: 0
Hands in total: 4.275
Profit $2.715
Bankroll $6.350
