Already up $120 this week playing $1.50 45-man (mostly). The games are really softer than a few years ago you can tell. 
I played a lot, already met my weekly goal of 180 sng's. Played 209 already, which is a lot for me. I'm only playing 6 tables most of the time.
Anyway, I signed up today for the bankroll challenge. I am building a bankroll anyway and if I can get gold status while doing it all the better!
Oh yeah forgot: The goal of the challenge is to bring my br up to $1000.

I used to do OK at the 45 mans a few years ago. Started at the .25c and gradually moved up to the $1.50s and was taking a shot at the $3.50s when I decided to switch to MTTs.
Is there traffic these days at the $6/$7? There wasn't back then.
@Lazza: I wouldn't know if there is traffic at the $7 Lazza, there is at the $3.50's. I hope so because I'm liking the format.
More to be won with MTT's, but SNG's will be more consistent winnings. I mean I'm hitting them final tables @ the 45mans like Samni.

The reason I switched to MTTs was because after $3.50s the traffic died (there is definitely more traffic at the $7s now than back then) and with the Spanish regulation, I lost all the traffic for the NLO8 45 manners I used to play as well.
The issue with 45 manners has been that after the $1.50s, a lot of players were moving to 180s. This also meant the standard at $3.50s was very similar to the $1.50s.
I might have to give them another try. ♠_evil:

When I checked today the $7's had traffic. But I just checked before posting they didn't seem to fill up. But normally I filter them out of the list, so can't tell for sure.
Why is that? All these people playing mtt's like you? or the higher buyin 180's?
Well at least I can also play the $3.50's after this, so I can stay fow a while. After that it might be time for a change anyway.
I have a lot of respect for your guys playing mtt's, you have to make long hours. At least I can do something else for an hour if I want to. Hopefullythe mtt's are treating you well! ♠_smile:

Cool Blog though 
As an experienced SNG-player of the earlier days I would recommend about 60BI for the 45s , if ya gonna beat them well,
100BI, if ya play on an average level and 130BI+ ,if you get too sick about downswings 
Little hint at the end: 60BI can be very few ,if u hit a bad swing at the beginning
250BI would be too much time wasted on lower limits.
Keep it up, will follow you and grind it up.

I like to use a combination of conservative and aggresive brm. Conservative because I want to have enough for my current stakes to make sure I don't go broke. I don't mind being just a bit overrolled in that regard. But then also quite aggresive because I'm playing the next limit with all I have above that amount.
Like to take a pessimistic approach, so I'm thinking 150 buyins now.

Running bad
Been running bad yesterday and today. Part of the game I guess. I was getting spoiled anyway. You can always be certain it will go down again when you are going up. And you can always be certain it will go up again if you're going down. See ... there are certainties in poker.

But I have to admit I also played some higher buyin games ($2.50, $3.50) because they all took forever to fill up this morning.
This is my first week of the bankroll challenge. I can't be down. What will they think? So I still have the rest of the weekend to turn this thing around, probably gonna play a lot. At least if I can find my confidence again. My confidence always plays games with me if I loose a lot. Then it tells me maybe you're not that good after all. Maybe you just got lucky before. Your game maybe is not solid. Maybe your are calling shoves too wide. You're not nearly shoving wide enough (which is probably true). It would help me a lot to have played something like 5K games with a solid profit. Then I can just take a look at my graph and know that I am on the right track. Or not, but then at least I'd know.
I also watched part of a HU video of Colin Moshman and I probably suck HU lol. I'm really not aggressive enough. Although there might be different styles to play profitably HU, I don't know. Not gonna worry too much about that now.
But no time to talk I need to get back in the ring.
No need to feel sorry for myself, it's in the nature of this business we are in, in the end it's all about the long run...

When I played, them, I wasn't too concerned about BRM. I originally set myself at 30BIs for regulars (.25c & $1) and 50 BIs for turbos. In hindsight, this is fairly aggressive but I wouldn't call it tankrolling. I started in the regulars by playing super tight and my BR was never under threat.
I used to be a member of a 45 man sweat group on Skype and one of my fellow members started a 1k games in 10 days challenge on .50c turbo 45 manners with 31 straight bricks. His graph:

I've been so terribly unlucky. Just can't win. And so many idiots on the tables. They just call with whatever and knock you out. It was such a promising night with all those crazy people.
Nevermind though. If it is luck I will be on the bright side as well. Win 13 in a row ... skyrocket to heaven
