Thoughts on the week
HUD
After watching some of KrisRukov's blog: https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=388539 he mentions that he was playing HUDless as he didn't have enough hands on players for it to make any sense. So I tried not using a HUD this week, and I found it helpful. I think this is more so because of playing Zoom, where you can see a player once during a full session. I found not having the HUD stats meant I couldn't use them to talk myself into a bad call. This has had a positive effect on my results, I still haven't completely cut out bad calls but they are far more reduced then before.
However as all the information you can get is important I have started noting players more when they do something unexpected. I have also been marking limpers and what the limp with as I still struggle playing against limpers as I have no limping range myself.
Leaks - Hole cards

AQo has lost 637bb the most of any set of hole cards. Need to stop over playing it as clearly calling and/or raising in the wrong place with it. Keep pot small.
KQo has lost 280bb, again similar to AQo the not nuts kicker means I am over playing it again.
A2s lost 271bb. For this one I think I have been over playing draws.
Most pocket pairs are just below breakeven. I think need to be not set not bet, and not call draws as I need a 4 card straight/flush.
Hopefully just by identifying these I can pay more attention to them. I have also been reading some material on how to play TPGK which is where I am mainly losing my money.
Leaks - RFI
W34z3l's walkthrough suggests; BTN 48%, SB 36% (with some completing), CO 27%, MP 18%, UTG 13%.
My results; BTN 37.5%, SB 34.6% (I hardly ever complete), CO 23.7%, MP 18.5%, UTG 15.8%.
The biggest differences are;
BTN I am 11% lower than suggested. I think I do not open with enough offsuit cards, which is surprising as I use a range very similar to that which W34z3l suggests. I think it could be in part to do with playing zoom. I see the cards and think that I am more likely to make money by just folding those weaker holdings and move onto the next hand which might be stronger with a better chance of a bigger win. But that thinking is resulting in me missing out on "auto-profit". So I am going to try and focus more on playing the weaker cards from BTN.
UTG I am 2.8% higher. I think this could be because I play nearly all pocket pairs even from UTG. This is because I feel I make most of my money from sets. However now that I have seen my pocket pairs grid I can see that I am not making money from them. I am going to go back to the range where they aren't included and see how that works out.
CO needs to be opened a bit more, however I have been finding people 3betting CO quiet a lot so not sure how much wider I am going to go.
SB I am going to see about limping/completing more and see how the BB reacts.
Leaks - Other stats
3bet - My 3bet is only 4.8%. I feel this is just on the low want to try and get it closer to 10%. Which is probably slightly higher than is best, however I think at NL2 people won't play properly against it.
WTSD - My WTSD is 31%. Which is way too high. I think this could be tied into getting married to my TPGK against TP with an A kicker. As well as a few poorly executed bluffs on the river. I am going to try and get it down to closer to 25%.
Snowie
Been reading about Snowie again and how some people have found it very helpful in learning a strong baseline strategy. I have started a post ( https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=2558259#post2558259) as I am trying to decide whether to get it or not. So if you have it please leave a comment ![]()
Hands that made me happy
Nailing a straight flush:

It was a limped pot but did manage to push it up a bit and get some good value. He had K high flush.
Daily quads:

Started as a limped pot with my 22, and thanks to a very kind run out managed to donk an all in on the river and get paid. Made a note that he limped AJo.
Goals
Last week

So the study to play ratio was nowhere near what I wanted. This was mainly down to play monster sessions that just ran and ran. Going to try better next week as I am currently only just better than a break even player really.
Next week
- 30% Study to 70% Play
- 15k hands min
- Gym or sport 3 days a week
- Duo lingo (Spanish) daily
