Thank you, mate!
1 real casino and pay a license fee of about 600k euros a year.
still brutal. So they have to collect this 600k from players each year just for the stupid licence. Practically only the players loose.
Even if some can collect as much money just for license alone, this makes it easier for that room to have a monopoly, which is also not good. You cannot have room with few players just because of this license cost.
Instead of this they could make huge MTT so that some lucky players could become rich.

That casino thing is a total nonsense because who would be viling to open a real casino just to be able to offer on-line casino. That new croatian poker room and also national lottery both allready have real casinos so for them that's not the problem (national lottery doesn't offer on-line poker, just other casino games). As the license fee is concerned, I don't know how big is it and can it still be profitable for poker rooms to offer their services here. I can guess that it's too much for the population of 4,5 milion people. There is also a tax involved, I know that when you win something on sports betting, you have to pay a tax. Not sure how that's implemented to poker. They can't tax every pot you win, for example...

I think in my country you pay like once a year from the profit which you cash out.
But actually if I cash out just to not have big sums in poker room, but still do not spend those money, but it is my poker bankroll, then I am not sure.
I think it does not make sense to pay tax if it is not a profit, but just changing a place where money is kept.
January statistics
In 2017. I decided to post some monthly statistics at the end of every month (I had allready used to do that some time ago). For me, January was awesome! The best month I've ever had! At the beginning of this year I set a goal to have at least $4.000 in my bankroll at the end of the year to continue with poker. That would mean that my monthly profit should be ~$165 on average, hourly earnings $3,5-$4 on average and NL25 winrate of ~2 bb/100 (if we pretend that I will play only NL25). As you will see, January was way better than that and it will be hard to catch up with it in following months, but I hope I will have at least one better month than January!
So, here are stats and graphs:
Total Earnings: $601,18

Graph of Total Earnings

Graph of Daily Earnings
Net Earnings: $474,00

HM2 Graph
Winrate: 6,46 bb/100

HM2 Winrates by Positions
Total Time Spent on Playing Poker: 2 days 14 hours 30 minutes

Graph: Daily Time Spent on Playing Poker
Average Earnings per Hour: $9,62
Average Time Spent on Playing Poker per Day: 2 hours
I also had one coaching with w34z3l and he concluded that my preflop BB frequencies are bad and that that could be the major reason of the poor BB winrate (-50 at that time). He also found a big postflop leak I had (to be more precise, calling river too much). After readjusting my preflop ranges and starting to be more carefull on rivers, even BB winrate starts to improve, but BB is still the biggest opportunity I have to bost my overall winrate further. So, everything looking good, just let's keep it that way! ![]()
Downswing, do not look at me like that!

yes, but BB is anyway a very difficult spot since you play wider and keep one's range wider. My coach also has a minus up there and at the time she was playing NL100. Anyway, I also believe even in these spots you should be able to come out in profit ![]()
Good luck further dude! ![]()

-30 bb/100 on the BB would be a dream. I was never near to that, unfortunatelly.

Here is the report for Get Rich or Die Tryin' - The Bankroll Challenge:

Targeting bankroll: 5.305,20 USD
Last week bankroll: 2.547,20 USD

Week 107
Hands (NL25): 9.304
Profit: -13,00 USD
Rakeback: 40,00 USD
Week 107 profit: 27,00 USD
Week 107 progress: 1,06%
Current bankroll: 2.574,20 USD
-------------------------------------------------------------
Overall profit: 1.513,16 USD
Overall progress: 35,65%

It was very variance-affected week and there were a couple of moments where I couldn't fully stay of control my emotions, so some swearing happened in the process.
However, I stil think I didn't make any major mistakes due to tilt, but probably some smaller were made. A couple of weeks ago when I posted the "unlucky" hands, answer from IvicaIliev77 was really eye-openning because I saw I've made alot of mistakes in hands I thought are lost mainly due to variance. That's something I have in mind while playing and it's some sort of injecting logic - Losing can be reduced by making better decisions. Losing is inevitable, but why to lose 100bb's when you can lose 60bb's? Like in economy, at the end profit is equal to gainings minus expenses. So more gainings or less expenses both lead to bigger profit.
From today I will participate in The Blog Job promotion. You have to set your goals and from February 6th to March 5th (four weeks) regularly (at least three times a week) report your progress in the blog. My goals for those 4 weeks are following:
Play at least 20k hands (NL25, 6-max, zoom)
Have a winrate of at least 5 bb/100
I know I'm not in full control of achieving both of the goals because I don't know how the variance will affect the results in just 4 weeks, but it will be funny to see if I can make both of them.
Not particulary good start of The Blog Job challenge, but it's not I haven't predicted that.

The negative impact of variance definitelly started to hunt me at the end of last week and continued to push me around at the beginning of this one. No panic for now, but it's definitelly not easy to handle it after such a dream start of the year.Progress:
Volume: 1680 hands (goal: 20000)
Winrate: -17,67 bb/100 (goal: 5)
The Blog Job challenge continues!
Didn't play yesterday at all, since celebrated the birthday with family, but managed to put a session today. Will probably play hour or two more later today and try to put a bit bigger volume on weekend.
Progress:
Volume: 2137 hands (goal: 20000)
Winrate: -7,67 bb/100 (goal: 5)

Managed to play a bit more yesterday and today, but overall did not play this week as much as I planned. Would have to compensate it tomorrow, so I hope I will be able to put ~6 hours of grinding, which would be the same amount of hours I've played this week so far. Nothing can do, though. It's an exams time, so I had a bunch of exams to review, plus I had a birthday on Thursday so spent some time on preparing and celebrating. At least last days were a bit more succesfull, so I managed to grow from red.
Progress:
Volume: 3302 hands (goal: 20000)
Winrate: 3,37 bb/100 (goal: 5)

Played 5 hours 30 minutes today and it was this years' record. Unfortunatelly, turned out again that Sundays are not my best days. On the day when there are the most fish at tables, somehow I always lose.
There was alot of variance involved, run too often into top of opponents' ranges, but on the bright side, I lost at least 20$ by (river) mistakes, so that's something where I could save money in the future.
Progress:
Volume: 5715 hands (goal: 20000)
Winrate: -1,38 bb/100 (goal: 5)

Here is the report for Get Rich or Die Tryin' - The Bankroll Challenge:

Week 108 profit: -7,71 USD

Overall profit: 1.505,45 USD
Overall progress: 35,47%

Seems I stucked in some BE mode for two weeks now. I've experienced quite amount of a variance, but I feel I could have slightly better results if didn't make some impulsive moves. I found myself calling a river raise two or three times with strong hands, but it was clear that opponents had better. I even instantly knew that I had to fold, but called anyway thinking: Maybe this time he/she is bluffing (The Mental Game of Poker: "One Time"). I was definitelly more nervous than usual, but there is no need to be nervous; The year starts great, I'm in a confort zone at NL25 with more than enough bankroll, I have a good winrate over a long sample size and I'm sure that am currently a winning player. So time to clear the head and start doing again what I'm able to!
It could be that the short term goals you made can give you some pressure. 20K hands isn't peanuts when your average is lower for example. Just a thought ♦
I mostly have goals in my A-game journal such as 'Master OOP play (think about lines, betting amounts, etc.)' or 'focus on x/r strong draws OOP (check w34z3l notes about this AFTERWARDS)'. Those brackets often help me to keep the attention to the right stuff and not do things I regret later on (so things that will not help me).
So in other words, I mostly have goals to master techniques rather than results. Maybe it helps doing something like that

Yeah, I certainly feel some pressure, but not about those 20k hands nor having 5 bb/100 winrate in them, but about completting my yearly challenge of reaching 4k$. Also, and that might sound weird, I had such a great results latelly in terms of winrate at NL25 (great for my standards at least) that I feel a slight pressure to sustain such a winrate and am scared a bit that all of it was just a positive variance. I allready know that I'm not the most self-confident man in the world so I had to overcome that in many situations in real life (basically, activate the consciousness part of the brain), but it's harder to handle it in poker because the nature of the game is that you can't be 100% sure in anything. So, when my mind started to suspect that maybe I'm not good enough to reach a certain goal, I become nervous, too attached to results and the chance of tilting becomes higher. It's like a magic circle really.
I used to have my session goals opened in Notepad during sessions (like: "Call more on the BB", "3bet more on all positions" or simply: "Stick strictly to your preflop ranges except in rare situations") to keep me concentrate on the things I had to fix in my game. Latelly I dismissed that because was in state of mind "just contentrate on every hand and don't chase the numbers" so I decided not to care of having BB CC% of 23 instead of 26, but I think I will start with those tips again because they certainly did the job of keeping me aware of technical side of the game. Mental side of the game is covered by the tip of injecting logic which I always have opened while playing and it says: "The goal of this session is to make good decisions. The goal is not to make money! You don't have a short-term control of making money!") and I think that also helps.
Thank you!

nice blog mate.
What sample size do you have at 25nl? That's a healthy bankroll you have, when do you plan on moving to 50?
What do you use for you %bar? I've got a google sheet set up that i use
