Hi man,
Appreciate your support a lot and glad you find blog and twitch inspiring.
I took down recording of the live broadcasts the other day when I found out I was not accepted in Twitch partner program. I will re-activate it once I reapply for the program.
In the meanwhile I suggest you follow blog and try to make it in live sessions as much as possible. It will be highest value for you because you can ask in real time questions about strategy vs watching recorded video. Also, you can come to blog here and ask questions or doubts you have about your strategy and game. I will try to give you questions that should guide you to find the solution, point you in the right direction.
I am huge fan in teaching to fish vs giving tricks, tips and just doing things half way. It will take you longer to get there but end result is much more valuable vs those bot like instructions (just do this and you print money - without you ever understanding why that works and going through analysis yourself to come to that answer).

Once again thanks for checking out blog, look forward seeing you on Twitch and here in future.

Quick update for today

Studied, meet with friend(s), had coaching session and grinded.

Studying went OK. I only covered 2 hands in actual Twitch session but I did them very in depth as always, discussing where I made mistake and what adjustment I will aim to make in future in such spots. Most of Twitch session spent discussing last years goals, this years and what's currently going on with habits coaching and staking deal. I am glad that I saw my friend NIVEKI in the chat today as well as some other familiar faces. You guys make Twitching more fun and enjoyable and I thank you for your support very much!

Then, rest of the day I didn't feel like playing. I ate a lot and that was kind of food that is not really good for focus or energy but rather bread and bunch of carbs + soda. So I felt loaded and I simply felt out of focus a lot! Took a lot of time off and then grinded 1 session and recorded it for my coaching session. Actual grind session had tons of interesting spots. I marked hands and I discussed them in actual video as well. Glad those spots came out because some of them are exactly the type of value I expect to get with my friend who will go over those textures and range vs range with me + tell me from his experience and analysis expectations in such spots. Results wise the session was couple of buy ins negative while 2 tabling but didn't matter, interesting and tricky spots were the main thing for me there.

I then went to meet with my friend and my best friend joined us. We had beer and discussed about Thailand for 2+ hours. Just talking about showing pictures and clips made me want to go back there right there and then. I am very eager to move there but I need to crawl, run , jump before I can fly! So I keep telling myself - Don't rush, keep studying and grinding, money will come and you will get there!

Once I returned from meeting with friends, I watched basketball derby game Partizan vs Crvena Zvezda. I predicted on my Facebook profile that Partizan will win the game with 8+ points despite Crvena Zvezda being huge favorite (they had 20-0 score in ABA League and tonight they lost to Partizan of course). I did guess final outcome but missed the points margin. We won by 5 points...

After the game I had session with my friend! We discussed 3-4-5 hands in about 1+ hour and that was only 10 minutes in the video recording! At the end of the session I told my friend expectations with him in our sessions. Shared my 20 post flop textures list with him with detailed explanations which I completed, which I am working on and which are coming next. I got awesome news from him when it comes to textures (as he progressively studies them as well = right way to become crusher like I wrote in the blog a month or two ago) and I feel confident he will definitely speed up the study and improvement process for trickiest textures. Tomorrow or day after we will have another session (3rd session in 3-4 days = SICK VALUE) where we will continue with video and then move on to PT4 analysis of my stats. In the meanwhile, I will study 1st thing and stream it via Twitch while grinding 2 tables still with new HUDs.

Finally, grinding. Today spent a bit over 2 hours in grinding instead of 5 that I initially planned. Not happy with that! I can find excuse in feeling bad due to food I ate or that I meet with friends or watched derby game in basketball. Bottom line is, I choose to do all 3 things (rest/regenerate, meet friends and watch game) vs putting 3 more hours of grind in. So its nobody's fault but my own. I accept it fully and understand that there will be days where grind can might and likely WILL suffer due to other life important things for me. Regardless of today's lower grind, I am going for 120 hours of grind this month. Now at above 8 hours mark so 112 hours more in 23 days - can probably afford half day off in next 23 days with 5 hours grind. My hope is that after returning from Thailand my grind endurance will get back to 6 hours vs 5 soon and that I can get some extra hours and 1-2 days off in February as well.
I have to think and plan potential burn outs. The goal is 1500 hours of grind hourly and knowledge increase. I see no point of playing every single day if in March I will feel like truck ran me over!!! So, need to rest and eat well, exercise in between sessions, stay hydrated and things will be fine.

Will post 2 tabling graph in full once I decide to switch to 3 tabling probably or just let you know of my 2 tabling win rate at the end of the month.
I will play several more days 2 tables until I fully feel comfortable with new HUDs after which I will add 3rd table. In Twitch today I talked about different cEV results for 3 4 and 5 tabling to get to 30-35$ post RB hourly. For 3 tabling that is 80-86 cEV, 4 tabling 57-62 and 5 tabling is less then that of course. I will decide with new HUD what is most +EV for me. I do feel 80cEV 3 tabling 15s is possible and attainable. Of course, with such high cEV it is probably more +EV to start mixing 30s or switch to them exclusively.
Crawl, walk, run, jump then fly. 1 step at the time...

Have a great night and hope you had a great week. Lets make next week count! (35 hours of grind, 7 hours of study, several coaching sessions, 4-5 guitar lessons etc).

This just happened AGAIN!!!

Now out of make up and 35.11$ in profit!

Thailand move is looking closer and more realistic then ever.
It seems like I have to go through 150+ buy ins swings (twice happened last year) and then get those huge multipliers and WIN to make it all even out.

This is I believe my 4th 100x. Once I got it on 7s and WON, 3 times on 15s and WON TWICE. I also got once 200x on 15s and WON. Also, I helped my friend elpsycho win 100x on 7s from 1 try

Coaching for top 3 multipliers anyone

Recap of today

Studying, grinding, spending time with family and friends.

Studying went well, covered 2 hands in depth. 2nd hand in particular was interesting to me because it is type of texture that requires me to study more and figure out how to defend on it. My betting ranges are very good in that spot but defending could use more work. Happy with how it all went.

Went to coffee with best friend, grinded some games (close to 1 hour) ran bad during that period, played very focused and maximized edges. Then went to bank with best friend to get him some Skrill money after which I got home and decided to grind more.

Grinding went very well. In the 2nd session I got 120x, got 2 recreational players who are aggro BVB and 1 particular bluff catch got me chip lead. IN HU I crashed player 3-4 hands in a row and then he shopped in AI , got back and in final hand it was less then 8bb I call AI with K8 he had KT and I binked 8 on the river. If he won that AI we would have had same stacks at 30/60 which would leave us with 13ish effective BB. I still think I would have won in that spot (he was l/f a ton and weak post flop) but I don't mind winning with 8bb K8o call.
After that, talked to my family, friends, went and spent time with my dad, discussed how to proceed with my 2 friends who stake and coach me. Got back home, played close to 3 more hours and I won some more $.

At the end of the day, went out of make up and made over 200$ in profit over it. Cashed out 200$ and whole day ended with less then 4 hours grind (3.48 to be exact).

Here is the graph for today - again, 2 tabling is easy and I maximize edges post and pre flop, red line is very positive as I expected. In near future I will look to add 3rd table only if win rate and focus don't get messed up a ton. With 2 tabling variance is far lesser vs 4 tabling of course so its a matter of which road to take. I am not giving up on 30-35$ hourly by the end of the year nor I am giving up 44k from poker in 2017. It will be matter of finding right number of tables to keep with decision making and maximizing EV as well as hourly. I am thinking that 3 tabling would probably maximize hourly and keep variance in the middle somewhere vs 4 or 5 tabling and keeping it higher. Just my 2 cents on it now - will see what future brings in that area.

Graph:

Tomorrow 2 guitar/music lessons, study session, grinding and very likely coaching session.
On days like tomorrow, 5 hours will be super difficult to put in. If I get 4 hours in tomorrow I will be very pleased, with 5 thrilled!

Study and DB analysis update

Got 20 hours of grind in 9 days or about 6-7 days since I got back from Thailand. Have been 2 tabling, working on new HUD, studying new textures, working with my friend and crusher, reviewing my BB in HU game for the most part.

After going through this low sample now for DB analysis, noticed that my BB in HU has increased significantly. I fixed a lot of leaks and OOP range construction is looking much better vs 5 tabling in December. In the process of studying in January and February, I also learned some things that I did not know before well enough. Examples are how to do range construction on paired textures, dry with 1 high card and mono textures. Those always seemed tricky for me OOP in HU but like I said after 40 days in new year, I feel much stronger when it comes to my OOP range construction and call down frequencies. Now when I call down 3 barrels I am not in dark and my decisions are made on solid range construction that I did manually street by street based on opponents tendency with different betting lines, bet sizings, run outs and my overall range (value and bluff catch) on such textures. Some of the textures mentioned are still troubling me and I feel it may take me another 30-60 days to fully master them but yeah, overall this is wayyyyy better then what it was in last year.

OK, so now that BB is looking solid, time to address the elephant in the room.
My SB win rate is looking worse then before! It is another area that I mentioned with BB in HU where my win rate is lowest and bellow expected. As I wrote and said earlier, once these 2 leaks are fixed, win rate will sky rocket no doubt. Since I started to work with my friend crusher, I got some new ideas how to play SB but unfortunately I make light plays and overall still feel somewhat in a dark. The main reason is changing old strategy to new one. New strategy has different way of playing on all stack sizes vs recreational, aggro reg, expected tendency vs what I did before which is strategy that got me around -2bbEV in last year (SB on 15s can be BE and positive for example). So, trying to apply new strategy gets me into a lot of trouble. Not only that but I find myself playing different range post flop OOP vs what I am used to, and when I do range construction in my head on the spot in games, things are now very different.
I don't want to be biased and say that its variance or something like that. I do have TONS OF HANDS marked that I lost on SB which could have gone better BVB. I will not name leaks that I had but yeah definitely area where I feel right now I can improve most.
So, after spending 30ish days on HH reviews in HU BB, time to switch to C-,D game for SB. I will in all future Twitch study sessions focus on lost hands in that area. Discuss range vs range, bet sizing, calling and stacking off hands on specific textures, expected strategy from BB player and working on correcting my leaks in that area.

Finally, 2 days ago, started with texture studying with my friend. Today we had a session a bit over 1 hour and we went through whole flop play for HU 17bb effective for KT5 2tone texture. What was amazing is that thanks to Internet, Doug Polk, my CG NL200zoom crusher friend and all the things I learned from them, I was able to instantly understand and PREDICT which hands would use what sizing to bet. Example, for under betting range construction vs 2/3 bet sizing on that texture. Understanding right away merged (thinner v/betting) vs polarized (strong and bluffs). Outside of that, I was able to also correctly predict x/c range for BB in that spot both facing ubet and 2/3 pots bet. That gave me such a confidence because it basically proved me that my range construction on that flop both IP and OOP for 17bb effective was correct! Such a nice thing. Now, for OOP play, I had different x/r range vs what solver suggests and that is mostly because in actual games I feel opponents would be more aggressive on 15s on such texture, which would in return get more bluffs which turn into bet/folds vs xr. The good news is hands that solver suggested for x/r I also used just with bigger frequency. So if solver suggested something 10% or 20% of the time, I would in actual games use it for like 40-50% of time. Oh and I don't want to forget 2 main influences that helped me get to this level of range construction for X/R , betting and calling ranges. Applications of No Limit Holdem and Janda videos from CR. Those 2 changed the way I look at NLH forever! Thank you Mathew, you are a true inspiration!

So, textures with friend crusher ongoing. Next stop is to continue with turn and river run outs although I already made some guesses which we will check if they are true in next session. Hope they turn correct when it comes to which cards favor who on such texture! After we finish 17bb SRP, we will move to limp pots for other blind depths as well. My friend already loaded all the scenarios and its just matter of us meeting and going through it together. My friend is crusher and going with him through this kind of material is fantastic since he already knows a lot of things about post flop like myself and we click when we discuss hands instantly. I am glad to see that he enjoys working with me and I am positive doing these things with me helps him with his game for 60-100s Spins to protect his ranges, not be exploitable and learn how to maximize EV vs very good opponents.

Finally, 19 days left, 100 more hours of grind to put in 2 tabling. That probably means that I will get to a bit over 2k games. Will check EV for such sample at the end of the month. For now 2 tabling, still getting used to the HUDs and maximizing edge with them. Red line is positive which makes me very happy (it is natural style for me thanks to time I spent studying and grinding 6 max zoom CG on Stars) and BB in HU has improved (very happy about it!) but focus will now go to hardest position in Spins which is SB 3 way.

By the way, my SB vs BTN in this month is very positive which is pretty cool. I tend to play vs BTN range better then vs BB since its similar to HU part of game. When I play vs BB I mess things up. Also my BTN 3 way is fine, SB in HU is also strong, BB vs BTN is good and BB vs SB used to be very good until I messed it up today with some hands for whole stacks.
Again, 20 hours 2 tabling = very low sample. But I spent time to check my stats and know which direction to focus in future study sessions.

So see you tomorrow on Twitch, where I will go over SB 3/3 lost hands.

Graph update at the end of the month, until then study and Twitch updates along with some interesting find like Doug Polks video above :f_biggrin:

Finally put 5 hours in 1 day in February!
Got into zone to grind. 2 tabling is much easier, way less stress and lots more interesting range vs range spots to spot. Also 2 tabling I spot bet sizing mistakes on 15s and can adjust accordingly while with 4 tabling I don't remember doing this with enough success like with 2 tables. Also, its weekend, had opponents hand me stacks at times but also had very interesting HU battles vs some regs where I came on top. Interesting thing about today also is I played twice 10x and lost both. Remember that once I lost 55 vs T3 bvb facing jam and hand before that RC KTo btn vs SB 10bb (opponent had Ax that held).

Overall very happy with range construction today for very large part of the day. My HU OOP play is looking smoother and I find myself in a lot less troubling spots facing 3 barrels or after probing turn and deciding what to do on river. So that is excellent and win rate will reflect that even more in future.
SB, adjusted it, toned down aggression in spots where I was spewing. Need to continue paying attention to this always and at some point 18bb+ depths will be profitable ones which will lead into positive SB win rate 3way.

Now I have money to cash out via Skrill and take my family and friends to launch and drinks for 100x I won on Monday. :)

Graph for today aka TGIW:

P.S. Until the end of month, I will focus on putting 5 hours each day to reach 120 hours target set.

Quick update for today

Taught guitar and music lesson in the morning, meet with friend for coffee, grinded 1 session in coffee place and just finished coaching session with friend crusher.
Also spent about 1 hour doing things at home with laundry dishes and rearranging my room. Booked maid who is coming later today.

Will put a bit over 4 hours of grind more today in. When that is done, I will consider doing Twitch study session for SB. Today already did studying but in coffee place. Reviewed some hands and textures with my friend, to teach him about tendencies and range construction.

Today overall super productive, especially coaching session where we got some very special insight into KT5 2tone with 2 different run outs. I like it a lot, my river doubt for such spot is 100% clear now and I understand how I should balance my betting range and what I should do with calling and different lines.

Also, 290k reads for the blog - WOW. Thank you gang, you rock! Lets make this year best year yet in poker and life!

See you at the tables - weekend, take advantage of it ;)
