My Motivating Blog MTTGrind + Sit and Go Hero!

Finally I did it!!
At the start of the day I just couldnt believe how unlucky I ran with losing like 3 or 4 times in a row in an all in where the opponent hit his 2outer on the
turn or river
But in the end one deep run was enough to get my challenge done in pretty much 4 weeks so less than a month
I managed to win the 1000GTD 5€ rebuy on Ladbrokes for over 500$
I will probably relax a bit now after having my last exam tomorrow (hopefully I am running good in the exams too :f_p:)
Anyway final Score is 1857$
And I am still in the 2$ Bountybuilder on Stars so i probably try to win that one now after I can play without stress

So guys after finishing my exams...which went pretty well, I think I give the Challenge another try
So my new Challenge will be to turn 1000$ in 5000$.
I have withdrawn some of my money I won and deposited 300$ on partypoker with the Pokerstrategy Bonus Code getting +100% pending bonus
So my Bankroll consists of
Ladbrokes BR: 500$
Pokerstars BR:200$
PartypokerBR:300$
Also I have the first depositor Bonus on PartyPoker and the rest of a first depositor Bonus on Ladbrokes+ one 50€ mtt ticket on ladbrokes I won in the lottery of the MTT Mission:f_drink: + some StatusPoints i will exchange for Cash:f_cool:
My goal is mainly playing mtts which is why I decided to put some money on partypoker
and some SpinandGos/Twister...
Anyway you guys have any suggestions about which 50€mtt I should play on Ipoker? and which mtts are good value on PartyPoker?

Hi guys,
First of all I have finished all my exames and I passed all yet
So this way I have my mind free on Poker for the next month if I want
First update of my new challenge.
I did play on Monday quite a lot but even if I cashed alot couldnt get of to a nice start.
Anyway today after being in the lab for 7 hours i felt pretty exhausted but still wanted to play a little so i just started one small mtt and some spin and gos.
Long story short I won the only mtt I played today for nearly 400$
So I think I ll maybe just play a little less mtts at a time and focus more on playing the player and increasing my edge on the table

well you need some luck in mtt its hard if your not lucky enuff. like me lol but at cash table its agressive the play 2 play i think

yeah you need some luck especially in the short run and even more if you play big sized fields...thats why I try to play smaller mtts, because you get into way more interesting spots after the bubble and at the final table
Also its way more likely you win a mtt which gives you more self confidence in your game and helps you being patient troughout the game which is essential in the small stakes mtts to perform well in the long term so I think you will get your shot at the money one time but its important youre ready to take it if the opportunity appears

Anyway sure its the way to play aggressive in cash but I do always lose a Buy in here or there on a bluff because people obviously fold less to all ins in cashgames in relation to mtts because they can always rebuy so I stopped playing cash to burn no money

For the day didnt had to many luck today ...two deeper runs but no final table
Anyway I think I played pretty good, had many cashs and felt really comfortable only playing 4 tables at once.
So I look forward to get more nice scores incoming soon, also I tried the STG Hero games on Party Poker and I really liked them because theyre really soft so I play them mainly to get my deposit bonus through

Phew! Pretty intense session behind me ...I feel a bit disapointed even if i probably shouldnt be to much.
So what happened?

I had pretty nice weather today so I spent the day in the park with some friends and after that I felt really refreshed to play a session. I also decided to use the 50€ ticket I won in a lottery to play the Warmup today on IPoker.
I only played 4 tables at once and run super hot cashing in pretty much evry Tournament.

BUT I felt a little overhelmed with playing 2 Final tables at once so I failed a bit in both getting 2nd in the 1000$ rebuy for over 200$ while making a big mistake in Heads Up jamming Q10off to a button raise when we were to deep against A10. Also I failed in a blind battle 3handed in the Warm up to make a stupid bluff in the end ...which left me crippled with a short stack I pushed into 99 to go out in 3rd for over 400$ .

Anyway great results over all with also nearly winning a 215$ ticket on party poker with a 5$ satellite where i busted by jamming AKoff all in in the SB with BB holding 88 and calling ... bad call from him but I should maybe have played it less aggressive because we were both in good position to get the ticket with
5 players getting payed and 9 remaining but I didnt know how to play it different with around 15-20bb.

Also playing some 5$/10$ hero stgs on party to slowly get my deposit bonus

Didnt play a lot this week
So today was 1st time I could play some bigger mtts since Monday
But no Final tables today
2 times busted with 11th and 10 th place in a 20$ and a 30$ mtt.
Also a deep run in the BIG 4 on stars to bust out with the final table in sight.
But the most money I lost probably comes from trying some satellites and herostgs

Hey guys I played some mtts today and on monday no big scores yet but improved my post flop game a lot
in mtts by focusing on my and opponents ranges more in cause of the action and the flop.
Helped me especially in the 6max mtts so I could cash in 3 of them.

Anyway the numbers are not in my favour just yet but I am confident to turn things around soon

Still not working well
I improved my post flop game but also made some tilt mistakes and run pretty bad in some games...
The numbers just hurt to be honest so I will probably make a break or go down in limits again and play smaller mtts so lower my variance and increase
the chance to hit a big score to get up again.

Felt like I had a clearer head today after posting my miserable numbers yesterday.
Played less expensive mtts to be under less pressure and did pretty good with some cashs
and a 3rd place in the TeaTime at Ipoker for around 700$. Even if I couldnt win it I am more than happy to get back up on track!

I played some mtts yesterday and today
Important things I want to include in my poker routine

• be active and in the nature before playing to feel relaxed and have more endurance at the tables especially in long mtts
• only play 4 mtts at once and focus more on increasing my edge to decrease downswings and increase my skill because I will play
  more player dependant this way and get into more tricky spots instead of auto piloting
• game selection: play the mtts where I had the best results and/or felt most comfortable playing in instead of registering for the biggest mtts with the biggest
  price pools with thousands of players ...so mainly play mtts with smaller player numbers
• dont get to much out of line in the early stages ...people are less inclined to fold hands most of the time so its best to stick to abc poker mainly

results so far:

I won the PLO Phoenix yesterday for the 2nd time for over 300$
Also I cashed in a lot of the Mtts I played.
This way my ROI is now at 196% on IPoker.:f_cool:

Hey guys I just won 420$ by grinding the whole day...no just kidding
I just played 2 hero sit and gos on Partypoker for 5$ each and won the big multiplier for 425$ including the bounty in heads up
Just wanted to kill time until a tournament started but didnt know that it would be so effective money making

Any difficulties to finish it on first place?

I didnt realize it in the first place but my girlfriend who sat next to me just said "500$!".
And in this moment my heart rate started to rise similar to when I am playing at a final table of a bigger mtt.
While playing I told her at least 3 times "I have to win this".

I think I got dealt pretty good cards and because I had some experience with bigger Buy ins and final tables I wasnt scared to bust while the other players played pretty tight passive because of the money.
So I jammed first hand with A8off for example against a small blind raise.
Later on I nearly doubled my stack with QQ against AJ so this basically was the most important pot to win I think.
Afterwards I played tight until the Heads Up where I punished my passive opponent with constant pressure which helped me
to give myself a 4:1 chiplead in both all in scenarios we had.
And even If I lost the first all in against him with my A10 not holding against his 910 I just kept my focus won a lot of small pots and finally
knocked him out with A8 against KQ for the bounty and the 1st place price.

Yeah its an awesome boost to my Bankroll.♠_cool:
