I only use HM2 and there is a option to sync databases, this way you will have all in one place.
Did you try to sync on PT4, is there an option to sync on PT4 (dont know never try PT4), I assume you use PT4 on laptop too :)

This can be done by backing the DB up on a disk and transferring the backup file to the other computer. This option is in the menu Database -> Database Management -> Backup / Restore.

Thanks Phuketinho but 6 figures will happen next year likely (with large BR for betting), this year I will be super pleased with 35k more profit in remaining 8 months :f_cool:

In PT4 you can go to database and select specific dates and tournament buy ins and export. I did that but when I imported them on my desktop computer, results/winnings were messed up so that is not 100% accurate way either.
Best solution that I was thinking of is to ask Stars for complete HH and Tournament Summaries from beginning of the year and then just create in PT4 brand new database with all the games. I will likely do that at the end of the year for final sample. Until then I will deal with this desktop and laptop samples.

Hehe yeah Prim!
I blame it on betting and 1 BR for it all.
Great news is that managed last night to convert $ into EUR and now in next 3 days once I transfer betting winnings to my Stars account I will finally have BR status ready for update. From that point on updates should be super easy :)

That is another way to do it yes. I will request HHs from Stars eventually and create brand new DB for it all. That way there is less chance that any files will be corrupted or doubled which may cause otherwise some mistakes in tournament winnings as it happened to me in past already (adding files into existing DB).

Speaking of betting, do you really believe that BetStars is the most profitable online bookie, or do you just find it inconvenient to move money from Stars to other online bookies?

It depends what type of sport and games you are looking for and amounts for betting.
In the beginning they allowed me to bet Single on Serbian Super League games for larger amounts (500$+) easily. After winning several single bets they decreased this from 150$ down (mostly 80$ or less really).
So while they do offer Serbian Super League matches and have very competent odds vs rest of the market, the problem is that they cap your bets therefore decreasing your potential winnings.

The best thing is to open accounts on William Hill, Bet365, Pinnacle for example as those offer 15k+ euro per single bet on Serbian Super League matches.
In the meanwhile I am working on finding out where do mafia guys from Serbia who run those clubs bet 0.5 million Euro or more. I was told some Asian markets but I haven't found the way in yet nor my bets are anywhere close needed to that amount.
Idea is to grow from Poker BR to very high amount and then split BR for betting invest it in 3 sites I mentioned above and bet Serbian Super League 95% time, remaining 5% some super +EV games on NBA and Premier League. Those are the things that I can follow and study, especially over weekends and not stress and let it affect my poker goals which are main ones for 2017.

2018, with large enough BR, betting will likely bring the same income as poker if not double that. Assuming I start year with 25k$ on Stars BR, and that I play 30s at that time, I can easily take 16k$ and cash out to different betting accounts while leaving 300 buy ins for 30s to grind. Through the year going for over 50k profit combined using both betting and grinding. Bets will in that case be 2% of BR which is 320$ for 1/10 , and again highest bet would be 10/10 which is 20% of BR (3.2k$). After each betting day, I would adjust BR and set new 2% unit since I use larger parts of BR for very +EV games.

Good news!

With hard work, I managed to finally get my money to Stars and in next 10 minutes I will post BR challenge update with total BR that will be used just for Poker from now on. Amount is 4226.38$ with 215$ on top of that being make up (lost 4 buy ins on 60s and won 25$ bonus) before any future splits are done.

BR Challenge Update Week 2:

Starting BR: 2910$
Current BR: 4226.38$ (+1316.38$)
Target BR: 25000$

Image of current BR:

P.S. Actual BR was much higher by over 1000$ but I cashed out that profit to cover all the bills in 2017 (internet, phone, help my dad) as well as cover 4 more rents (May, June, July and August!) + have extra spending money as well as start working with my Sensei training outside in May (100 euros for that per month).

Update on energy levels and more

Past week or so after winning large amounts on poker + betting, my time management went to vacation mode. With that came also very low energy levels due to bad food choices - tons of carbs that my body doesn't react to well. So it felt weird, while I wasn't doing mentally challenging tasks (studying or grinding) but was rather doing easy things (coffee with Phuketinho, watching games, reading paper, watching tv shows, facebook) I kept waking up every morning worse then the previous one. Several times I was waking up in the middle of the night also. The other night (2 nights ago) I had a bad dream!!! Don't remember last time I had one of those, they are super rare for me. Also, in the morning when I wake up I constantly feel lower back pain. It happens when my sleeping pattern is interrupted or inconsistent. I also miss working out a lot now. I stopped with full time work out in December. 4-5 months without it leaves consequences for sure. Doing pull ups at home is not enough. Its good step but it shouldn't end on that when I know my body needs and is capable of a lot more then 8 pull ups in the morning before coffee.

Now onto some good news finally.
I cashed out that extra money I mentioned in the previous updates and within next 2 days I expect it to arrive at the bank. From this money I will cover all my bills by the end of this year + pay my Sensei months worth of training and cover 3 rents in advance (May, June and July). Outside of all this, I will have some spending money for food and coffee/water as well as 200 euro saved for Sofia trip on 20th of April.
Great news is that I resumed my sessions with Rocky. We didn't do anything for a week probably, just betting and watching games celebrating etc. Yesterday and today we did sessions and both were sweat sessions. There were interesting spots and as always its great to hear Rocky's line and approach and our expectations where we discuss our potential strategy adjustment. Our main topic is my SB in HU. Rocky has very solid win rate there and last year I used to have the same. In this year however I am both getting called lighter and making mistakes on specific textures and hand categories that cause me more trouble. So the solution is as always, pick those textures, study them hard (PIO, node locking) go over it as long as it takes to memorize it all, and in time these things in games will be gone or fixed. I can immediately think of 1 texture that requires my work IP and that is the one we will tackle in our future sessions. After that 1 texture, there are very specific blind depths and run outs which are super interested for me to tackle. Especially turns IP since a lot of cards there can change our range and improve opponents and vice versa. River is the easiest street for me but I still make mistakes there exploitative but from GTO approach I am doing very good IMO (if you only bet river value, opponents will always fold bluff catches so balance is better vs over bluffing or over valuing especially for higher stakes that have better players).
So lots of work ahead for SB in HU to bring it back and in the meanwhile ready to be raped by variance and super light calls in HU. Seen it so many times, I am super used to it, I smile and open a new game now :)

16th of April my friend Cune will be here until 18th. Debatable how much poker will happen during those days. Between now and then I will step up on grind and also do HHs review for HU SB. After 18th I will have 1 extra day to grind and study and then on 20th until 23rd I am in Sofia where I will do zero online poker but play live, hang out with my friends and just enjoy life. After 23rd, I will resume my poker and set up myself for training (start running every morning for a week steady) and install different sleeping and waking up pattern. My training sessions will likely be at 7am which means I need to be in bed by 11pm latest to get 7 hours of sleep in. After training, shower, protein heavy healthy meal and then grinding heavy remaining of the day!
Look forward to training as it will install back my healthy habit of working out 3 times per week minimum, give me energy needed, motivation as well to set up my day and follow up on it better.
Now I am having problems with sleep, food, energy levels, and that affects my productivity drastically as well as my motivation levels (like I said - vacation in my head).

I will update when something new and interesting happens, until then keep crushing life and poker and find your inner piece!

Taking right steps towards greatness in 2017

Today was amazing day for me. When I tell you why you may think that its not so amazing but I would strongly disagree. Today was a day where I accomplished tons of things to take off weight from my back for 2017.

I received money on my bank and I split it to cover different important expenses in 2017.
What I covered today was:
- Rent for 3 more months (Until 15th of August I am all set)
- Cell phone, 2 internet types and Dad's pension credit (all payed in advance by end of this year close to 540 euro)
- 100 euro saved and ready for training sessions in May with my Sensei
- 200 euro saved for Sofia trip
- 150 euro of spending money for food and coffee available

Today felt truly for me like poker and betting allowed me to live a rich life. So far with poker I was just covering things as they came along. Last year I worked to pay off mortgage for apartment, that was something that was due and urgent. In previous 3 years prior to that I was making a living paying bills and helping my family. In this year this is very 1st time that I remember where I took my winnings and invested it to cover very important ongoing expenses IN ADVANCE. That is one of the definitions of living a rich life for me. Having a maid, cook, trainer is awesome and is also definition of rich life, but being able to cover key expenses for most of the year just is amazing in my book.

So today I felt very happy and proud about what I did and it makes me feel great. Now I need to save 900 more euro to cover remaining rents in 2017 after which all my expenses are pretty much just food and coffee/water. Outside of these KEY expenses, I have BR targets to save for 1.5k$ for Phuketinho and about 20ishK$ for my own BR. Outside of BR targets only things remaining are 2k$ to pay off that pension credit my dad took and 6k$ for Phuket trip.
Timeline wise, things are going very well and as planed.
I very much look forward relazing and enjoying time with my friend Cune from 16th to 18th and then kicking ass in Sofia with my friend troll and Rocky as well potentially meet up with my friends Gavra and Kurkie and then from MAY train hard, grind harder and just keep eye on the prize and crush.

Key thing today besides these expenses covered is of course 100 euro investment in May's training sessions.
Training with my Sensei will help me in so many ways. Not just to keep in shape 3 times per week but also to improve my nutrition, focus, sleep and with time management.
Very interesting thing will be how my adjusting to it all will happen since training sessions will be at 7am which means I will aim to wake up at 5am, prepare for training, do hygiene things and grind 1 hour before training! After training, regenerated will eat protein heavy foods that I enjoy, keep grinding and work with Phuketinho and Rocky, teach guitar and music lessons and end my days by 10:30pm latest. It will be very challenging because never in my life so far have I had a long period of waking up super early. This will be a true test for me to join 5am club, and I look forward to it a lot!

Thanks for following and reading!

I can imagine one of your posts in 6 months: "Amazing news, guys! I payed all my expenses for 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020! I also have the money for the following 5 years' expenses, but let them wait!" :f_biggrin:

It's really great how the things are developing! I'm glad for you! I also like your care about dad. I think you should be very proud of yourself just because of that itself. We should remember that there were days when our parents were giving everything they had, just to assure us to have what we needed. It's especially true if you weren't rich enough to afford everything easily, which is the case with probably 90% of families in our countries. My parents were also struggling to afford my brother and me everything we needed, we even didn't have a car for a long time when almost all neighbours had it. My dad had two jobs and was doing everything possible to cover all the expenses and make sure that they will manage to give us high education afterwards. It's a great feeling when you can give something back and also when you feel that the parents are proud what you've accomplished! Great job, IvicaIliev77! :f_drink:

Thanks Alleen86.
Family is very important to us who had great child hood and whose parents raised us right. I would put out time in my life to help family always. This is strange to most people because abroad people separate and live on their own for most of their life. They see their family on special dates if that. In Serbia family ties are strong so I consider my behavior part of who I am (where I grew up, what kind of family education and support I got). No matter how much financially I help my family, it can never make up for the fact that they choose to have family in the 1st place, have me and my brother and work hard to put us through schools and provide us good life while keeping us away from bad influences like drugs mafia or such. I consider it super standard to do what I do because that is who I am. Don't need praise of any sort but I thank you anyways because in Balkan countries family ties are strong and I expect you understand also how helping family is very important thing in life.

No it´s absolutely not strange! I´m of Hungarian descent and in the Republic of Hungary it´s the same. Hungarians and Serbians have very much in common: also some meals but some nasty curse words as well :f_ugly:

That is great to hear Prim!
I was in Hungary several times but none of these times was for more then 3-4 days. I didn't get impression that people from Hungary were that close to their families. It seemed very USA ways of doing things at least from what I picked up. Glad to find from you that Hungarian people have strong family ties. Good for you guys!
And for meals, GULAS is something we eat in Serbia and it is Hungarian national dish I believe - correct me if I am wrong. There are probably several others. Some great food in Hungary for sure!

Graph time!

3 weeks since start of BR challenge and my cEV is 54 right now 4 tabling. Prior to start of this year I set out 57 cEV to 62 cEV target 4 tabling since that is 30-35ish$ post RB hourly. I am very close as you can see from graph bellow.

Some positive things about this sample:
- My red line is improved and is BE towards positive (this is all pre and post flop adjusting, many different positions and hand reading adjusting for Spins vs CG!)
- My auto pilot improved by a ton in 3 handed play, HU as well especially OOP
- My win rates for most positions are excellent. SB vs BTN 3 way is close to what needs to be, BTN 3 way as well. SB vs BB 3 way is super improved; BB vs SB is crushing 3 way; BB vs BTN is insanely improved. In particular proud for these 3 win rates + major improvement in BB vs SB in HU, that is probably biggest EV improvement for me OOP play in HU.

Negative things while 4 tabling:
- My SB win rate in HU is terrible. It is sole reason why my win rate in cEV is only 54. Improving this will bring up cEV by a ton.
What happens is I get into bluffs on limits where people bluff catch super thin. Regardless if line is bet bet bet or bet x bet, or x bet bet or x x bet, SRP or Limp pot, they love to call down super thin. So the only adjustment that makes sense is to cut down on bluffing frequencies on textures where I am getting light bluff caught.
Other spots are when opponents bet call my all in OOP in HU. Here I saw some super light plays or simply setups when in theory for range construction I did very well in such spot.
I can blame things on low sample since 27th of March and say that variance has things to do with my lower SB win rate in HU and it could to some extent. But, the truth is, my SB HU game plan is evolving pre flop and thanks to doing some PIO work with Rocky, doing HH reviews and learning about certain spots that caused me trouble, I am experimenting and testing these new strategy adjustments and that causes swings no doubt. Once I lock in different approaches for certain textures where I am loosing money IP vs aggro opponents or regs, then win rate will sky rocket within month time.

So overall, win rates are improved in all positions, just need to fix and return my SB win rate in HU to 12 evbb/100 instead of 2.53 evbb/100 which is on this sample!!! You can already imagine how much of cEV jump that position will cause to already cEV of 54 with such terrible win rate on SB in HU currently!!!
May grind will be super interesting since I will start getting up at 5am and playing 1st grind session 5:30-6:30am and also using warm up 15 minutes mixed with HH review in SB HU and in PIO for node locking adjusting expected strategy as well as checking optimal range construction. I can't wait for May to come, until then lots of relaxing with family, friends and enjoying what I accomplished so far in 2017!

P.S. Sunday I am going to spend Easter with family so very likely will not grind at all. BR challenge update will happen some time on Sunday or Monday - currently dropped winnings due to some swings but lets see what happens by Sunday night :)
