Is that a fact? The cake may not be presentable anymore, so it won't do for the event, but at least it's still edible, is it?
I remember one time when I was a kid, and my mum tried out a recipe for crispy duck, but accidentally dropped the glass bowl it was in. Now that was one crispy duck... we may have invented a new recipe.
Snowmen in August
It's been established that we all like quads, so how about flopping them?
Took a confusing line, trying to get value. It worked somewhat.

I just noticed that my last post landed in this blog for some reason, even though it was supposed to go to Hand of the Day. Must have messed up my tabs...
Let's just leave it here, since we all know how much Prim likes quads.
But as you can see, you're not the only one with bouts of clumsiness recently.
Weird line indeed, but whatever works.
I think I'd go either for a simple 3 barrel or for a bet x/c x/r
Success!
Cake was a success, people liked it and the roast as well. Everything was eaten up.
And tennis was a success: I won in singles and doubles!

....but my feet are killing me right now. Ouch!
Little success or: playing forever for a couple of bucks
Yeeah, I register for MTTs on Party anyway and was playing forever for some bucks. Finished ITM here and there, could make a deeper run on Stars in the 2K Gtd. but "only" ITM, not really big money. Placed 87th in the 2K Gtd., 70th in the Sunday kick-off on Party, 13th in the Power Turbo PKO, another 25th place in the Power Turbo PKO, guess that´s it. Played also the WCOOP phase I for 2.20 $ and busted with AA.
A lot of unlucky busts like AQs vs QJo, KK vs AKs, AA vs 54s, QQ ran into AA, TT ran into AA and such stuff. Tried to play well, from time to time I got a bit tired but I think I played okay today. I have to work on my loose bluffs and really look carefully at the flop texture. I bluff a bit too much. Should really be more careful with risky bluffs. Could play about 2.500 hands today and even though I ran very bad at the beginning of my session, my last 3 MTTs went better.
Anyway, what I won is experience and that´s very important. See my mistakes and do it better next time.
Variance won´t defeat me!
Wow, guess today was one of the worst sessions of my life. Bubbled twice with a big cooler: flopped trips and Villain found his 2-outer on the river, ran with KK into AA and ran with QQ three times into AA, and once with TT into AA, either got junk hands or totally missed flops or made a good hand but turn and/or river destroyed it or someone made a better hand (flop, turn or river).
My willpower is put to the test at the moment but I won´t let myself defeat by variance. MTTs are variance-heavy.
Let´s hope for better days.....
Great mindset Primrose6789 !
Keep a positive mind and wish your next sessions to be successful ♠_thumbsup:
We all take our share of variance
Best of luck,
J-C.

Tomorrow will be a better day.
Exercising at 33°C or: no pain no gain!
Well, I cannot be lazy the whole summer because of heat waves and so I exercised at those high temperatures, but carefully. Yesterday was horrible! The sweat was running like a waterfall and it was very humid here! Exercise was torture but somehow I made (survived) it
Couldn´t grind yesterday due to sports and can´t grind today, sports again after work. Okay, sports at 33°C, hurray! ![]()

Afterwards I´m always totally f...... up!
My god you are just plain crazy. When it goes up to 24° I give up on sport ![]()
(But I'm used to colder temperatures.)

Floxy, sports is a very important part of my life and even though I would like to stay inside, I need sports so I do it anyway. You just gotta do it carefully, just don´t go to your limit. I was even cycling at 37°C but of course not with speed, we made just an easy slow bike tour, then it´s no problem. Your body gets used to it. I like cooler temperatures as well, I don´t need anything above 27°C. As ginger I have to be especially careful from May to mid-August with the sun and smear tons of sunscreen on my skin, wear a cap, hat or a headscarf, as well as sunglasses. Further, I try to stay out of the sun (which is not always possible).
From March to October I always put sunscreen on my skin, at least SPF 50, June to September SPF 100+. ♠_biggrin:
Here, suntan is very en vogue. Most people like suntan and think it´s beautyful, I´m often the only person who stays (ghost-)white
I can tan a tiny little bit but that looks really awful. Looks like "yellow", I look like someone with jaundice ♠_ugly: No no! For that reason I prefer to stay white.

Alright, that´s the reason why there´s only SPF 50+ in the EU. Gotta order my SPF 100+ from USA. I use to put 2 suncreens on: A SPF 100 Sports-Spray and over that "Eco" SPF 50+ (organic sunscreen). No sunburn, no sun allergy, no tan! ♠_thumbsup:
I use that "banana boat" SPF 100 in the the video, but for sports I use the spray.
Without sunscreen I would have to stay inside all summer long.
The magic soup
Aaaalright, quit training early yesterday, felt horrible with joint pain and muscle pain. It turned out that I got infected with flu. Was already wondering about my caugh yesterday, but anyway, that´s the way it is.

Quit work earlier and now I´m lying in bed, eating my "magic chicken soup". I made that soup for fall and winter and had it frozen down but it´s also awesome at 31°C
Chicken soup is always good! It´s the last hot day here and soon I will cook even more chicken- and bone-marrow soup. ♠_biggrin:
I always keep a few cans of magic chicken soup around for those inevitable few times a year when I get the sniffles. Luckily, I didn't have to deal with it since February, but let's not jinx it.
It really does seem to work like magic, even the canned variety.
Get well!
