Husband on the "electrical chair"?

Before you wonder where I am: Caring for Homer at the moment who had surgery on Tuesday. I was maybe more nervous than he was but everything went well. Homer got a basalioma removed from his face and the surgery was eventually not a big deal. It went like an "electrical chair" - with current :f_o:. The basalioma was removed by an electrical scalpel and tomorrow the wound gets closed.

So of course I was not in the right mood to grind. I did my things, work, sports, domestic chores but of course also cared for Homer (who looks like "The Phantom of the Opera" at the moment).

The tables have to wait a bit ....

Homer had his second surgery today and everything went well! :f_thumbsup: Now the wound has been closed and has to heal and everything is fine! :f_thumbsup: But he is not allowed to do any exhausting stuff, so I do it of course. Eating is a bit difficult at the moment, so I cook some soft stuff for him like soups or noodles. For drinking he needs a drinking straw and I shouldn´t make him laugh, cause smiling and laughing is a bit painful.

Just takes some time now until he´s perfectly fit again .... (about 1 week)

Let him watch some German stand-up comedy on TV, that way he should stay safe.

Get well, Homer!

By the way: Lab analysis of the tissue which had been cut out confirmed 100 %: It´s "only" the "good guy" and not the "bad boy". Just had to be cut out and that´s it!

After the wound has healed life goes on as usual..... :f_thumbsup:

Totally disgusting but ...

...I won´t ask the doctor for the "chemical bomb" (antibiotics) yet. Drinking some totally disgusting cranberry juice (just gross!) and some special tea which should help cleaning the urinary tract (mega-eeeeew!).

I think I am allowed to spit in the blog now (this is really gross):

:spit: :spit: :spit:

Even I have to admit that's pretty gross. Is the idea to make you puke out whatever is causing the urinary tract infection?

:mdr: Cannot puke out the bacteria, they don´t sit in my stomach, they sit (and have party) in my urinary tract. I only can pee them out (what I do - drinking a lot of tea and going often pee). So, the idea is to pee (but not my sleeve :sifflote: ).

On the dark side of variance

Pretty unlucky session today. Again! Mostly just junk hands and totally card-dead. When I had a playable hand to jam I often jammed into a monster like AA or KK. Jammed KJs into AK a couple of times (first in from BTN), AJ into AA and many times into KK. Ran once with QQ into KK or lost AJ < A8. Most flops lost. Anyway, could win a 5 $ and a 7 $ 9max SnG, place 3 times second in the 5€ 9max SnGs on Titan and win some 5€ and 10€ DONs but that was it. Most tourneys went just totally card-dead and then the final jam lost somehow: either jamming into a monster or against a 3-outer or flip lost. Annoying! Didn´t loose much but it´s just terribly annoying. Got a 40 BI-downswing again. Sucks!

But at least my urinary tract doesn´t hurt so bad anymore and I didn´t have to pee so often during grinding. Homers wound is healing well and I just helped him to change patch. The cut looks pretty brutal but it will all heal without leaving scars...

..and the good news are ....

ICMizer says: No more totally rotten eggs! My preflop decisions were mostly +EV or only slightly -EV.

Mostly bad luck, some slightly rotten eggs pre (but still eatable) but some rotten eggs postflop (playing MTT in an STT).

You know, for some reason, things tend to go pretty bad on my end as well whenever you are on a downswing, so I'm always a bit scared to read about them, especially when it's shortly before my own session.

It's okay, getting the health stuff back in order is more important, there will always be plenty more money for you to pick up at the tables the next day.

You think I infect you with the downswing? :f_biggrin: No, seriously, running pretty bad but that doesn´t mean that you too have to run bad. As long as you play RIGHT, winning will come sooner or later... (in my case later).
